No because when a doctor raised concerns about Lucy Letby.
Ravi Jayaram.
A south asian man mind you.
Along with 2 other consultants.
They were told to not be mean to her.
That she cried when they accused her and had to apologise to her.
..... Apologise to a baby killing serial killer?!
Because they made her cry with their accusations.
Which were correct.
And had evidence even at that time to support she was guilty of murdering infants.
Because people couldn't fathom that a woman who looked like her could do something so horrible.
And the news really want to emphasise that someone who looks like her, you can't fathom doing such harm.

Lucy Letby tried to murder a baby less than two hours after she was born, a jury has been told.
The former nurse is accused of attempting to murder a baby girl, known as Baby K, on 17 February 2016 at the Countess of Chester hospital.
Manchester Crown Court heard the defendant- who denies the charge - was found standing over the baby’s incubator by consultant Dr Ravi Jayaram.
The baby’s oxygen levels were falling, but the incubator’s alarm was not sounding, prosecutor Nick Johnson KC told the jury.
Mr Johnson said: "We say that in those circumstances the only reasonable thing for a nurse to do would be to call for help or use [equipment] to breathe for the child.
"The reason she was desaturating was because the breathing tube had become displaced and we suggest that the fact Lucy Letby was doing nothing and the alarms weren’t sounding was because it was Lucy Letby, the convicted murderer, who had displaced the tube."
'Powerful and emotive'
Earlier the court heard the 34-year-old, from Hereford, was convicted in 2023 of the murder of seven babies and the attempted murder of six others between 2015 and 2016.
The jury in her first trial could not reach a verdict on the attempted murder charge relating to Baby K.
Mr Johnson told the jury that Ms Letby’s "status as a multiple murderer and attempted murderer is an important piece of evidence that you should take into account when you are considering whether we have proved that she was trying to kill Baby K".
The tearful defendant watched from the dock as her defence barrister, Ben Myers KC, told the jury she "maintained she's guilty of nothing".
He said her previous convictions were "potentially a powerful and emotive part of this case".
Mr Myers added: “It’s important to emphasise the convictions do not prove this allegation.
"But convictions like that in a trial like this may make it easier to convict someone of something they haven’t done."
The retrial continues.

This scene made me wonder how tall Vikram was, because he has a big presence and seems tall, while Karthi is our little baby and yet somehow towers over Vikram.
So I googled.
Karthi is 5'11????
Vikram is 5'6 (he's so small!!)
Tumblr media
Jayaram Ravi also seems tall. He's 5'9, which is STILL shorter than Karthi.
So, Karthi is just a tall baby, huh.

Dhamaka Movie Review
Dhamaka Movie Review-Director Trinadha Rao’s Nakkina Dhamaka with Ravi Teja, Sree Leela and Jayaram has shades of Allu Arjun’s Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo with some twists. However, the movie ends up being a visual treat, our reviewer said. By Janani K: A beautiful home. Heroes have fertility problems. The girl is in trouble because of her parents’ problems. Does this sound like the story of Ala…

Guntur Kaaram - Movie Review
Tumblr media
Long awaited combo of Mahesh & Thrivikram has materialised in the form of Guntur Kaaram. Athadu and Khaleja though get terrific viewership when aired on TV, during their release, both were not commercial successes. Thrivikram is back after Ala Vaikuntapuramlo, which was a non-SSR industry hit then. Mahesh is on a success streak, though receiving backlash from fans & common audience for doing only message oriented movies. This time it’s a mass masala film to break those shackles.
Story :- Vasundhara (Ramya Krishna) leaves her 10 yr old son Ramana and husband Satyam (Jayaram) after a fight in the house. Her father cum politician Venakatswamy (Prakash Raj) gets her married to Narayana (Rao Ramesh) and they have a son. With time, Vasundhara grows in politics and is about to get law ministry, when Venkataswamy’s rival in party Kata Madhu (Ravi Shankar) threatens that he will reveal to the world about how she left her 1st son like an orphan and remarried. To counter attack the same, Venkataswamy ask his lawyer Pani (Murli Sharma) is assigned the task of taking a signature from Ramana that he is not heir of Vasundhara and is not expecting anything from the family. Ramana (Mahesh Babu) who is taking after the mirchi yard in Guntur after his father is a rough and rough guy and doesn’t succumb to any pressure or power. Though he misses his mother, never tried to go and see her or meet her. But with Venkataswamy’s approach, he turns rebel and doesn’t sign the documents in whichever way they try. Why Vasundhara left her son and never came back? Did Ramana sign the documents? Form the rest of the story.
Performances :- Mahesh did a terrific job as Ramana and his Guntur accent needs special mention. He was at ease in the mass avatar and he carried the movie on his shoulders. Emotion, Comedy, Fights, Dances, he gave his best in all departments. Special mention for his dances in the movie, he had put lot of efforts and dedication. Though have less screen presence Ramyakrishna and Jayaram did decent job whenever on screen. Prakash Raj was monotonous as we have seen such roles and performances from him before. Sree Leela was there for dances and glamour and she gave her best. Eshwari Rao is superb as aunt, with her action and Guntur diction. Vennela Kishore brings the comic relief. Murli Sharma is good.
Technicians :- Simple story and screenplay, but with good dialogues and performances makes Guntur Kaaram a watchable masala entertainer. It may not look like a proper Thrivikram film or Mahesh’s film, but it looks fresh with both their names tagged to it. Satirical Dialogues of Mahesh were good. Emotional scenes in the climax click well with proper justification to all that happened from start of the movie. Action episodes are not great, just okayish. Songs and background score should have been better.
Positives :-
Mahesh
Dialogues
Climax
Negatives :-
Action parts
Not crispier runtime
Summary :- Guntur Kaaram has all the ingredients in right proportions which are required to make a perfect mass masala commercial film. No vulgarity, no violence, no adult content.
Rating :- 3/5 (It’s a family entertainer)

[ad_1] The recent conviction of Lucy Letby, the neonatal nurse who murdered seven infants and attempted to murder six others while working at the Countess of Chester Hospital between 2015-2016, has raised fundamental questions about how something like this could have happened – and why it took so long to stop her. The fact is attempts were made to stop her. Two medical consultants, Dr Stephen Brearey and Dr Ravi Jayaram, both raised concerns about unexplained infant deaths as early as July 2015. By October 2015, both brought specific concerns about Letby, who had been on duty during each of the deaths, to the senior director of nursing. But both have related how they were rebuffed by hospital management at each stage of the process. Dr Jayaram even revealed he was told by management “not to make a fuss”. It wasn’t until June 2016, after repeated complaints, that Letby was finally removed from her clinical duties. Common sense would dictate that if a senior doctor raised concerns with managers, even informally, it would be taken seriously. This apparently wasn’t the case – nor is it the first time an NHS doctor’s concerns have been ignored by senior management. This highlights an urgent need to change the structure of the NHS to ensure managers and executives are held to account for the decisions they make. Refusal to act The NHS is an inherently hierarchical organisation, with many layers of management. Clinical managers are typically clinicians (such as nurses) with managerial responsibilities. These middle managers oversee operations in their own clinical areas. There are also senior managers, who often have no clinical experience. These managers have little or no contact with ward staff. They manage the hospital at the executive level, looking at finances, human resources and the hospital’s reputation. In hospitals such as the Countess of Chester, most routine decisions are made by middle management. If there’s problems with staff on the ward, it’s normally up to the unit manager to decide whether or not these concerns are escalated to senior management. Hospital management was notified on multiple occasions of the senior doctors’ concerns. PA Images / Alamy Stock Photo The unit manager in this case presumably would have known Letby personally – and given that the evidence against Letby was largely circumstantial, it would have been very difficult to suspend or even investigate Letby at first. Even once the unit manager and senior clinicians brought their concerns again to the attention of more senior management, evidence shared as part of the trial shows hospital executives pushed back – refusing to meet with them, shutting down suggestions that police needed to be involved and even ordering them to write an apology to Letby for raising concerns about her. Brearey and Jayaram suggested that executives were attempting to minimise any reputational damage to the unit and, by extension, the hospital. The decisions of hospital executives will be investigated as part of a public inquiry. Freedom to Speak Up There’s a long history in the NHS of lone whistleblowers being pilloried for trying to raise concerns about failings in patient care. This is what led to the Freedom to Speak Up review, which investigated how organisations dealt with concerns raised by NHS staff. Ironically, the report was published in 2015. The review found NHS employees were often afraid of raising concerns out of fear of victimisation or the worry they wouldn’t be listened to. Many also faced isolation and bullying when they did speak up. The results of the report led to the Freedom to Speak Up policy, which provides guidance for NHS staff on how they can raise patient safety concerns. A Freedom to Speak Up Guardian is also now present in every NHS Trust to ensure issues raised are responded to. At the time Brearey and Jayaram raised their concerns about Letby, this policy didn’t exist. It’s clear from what has been reported so far that this policy may have made a big difference – and could have prevented lives being lost. But the role that management plays in cases such as this cannot be ignored. Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time that preventing reputational damage has been placed ahead of patient safety. Inquiries into various NHS scandals, such as at the Bristol Children’s hospital, highlighted management attempts to cover up failings in patient care and avoid negative publicity. Even with the Freedom to Speak Up Policy, the British Medical Association reports that staff are still being victimised for raising concerns. Staff who raise concerns are often dismissed under the “some other substantial reason” (SOSR) clause which enables organisations, not just the NHS, to sack employees without needing to prove misconduct or incompetence. Clearly, the policy needs to be improved and legislation passed that would protect staff from dismissal if they do speak up. In the aftermath of the Letby case, Brearey and Jayaram have both called for hospital managers to be regulated. Regulation would ensure that managers would need to be registered to practise in the same way as health professionals are. This would ensure that managers are held to account for their decisions and that action is taken if they’re found not to be acting in the interests of patient safety. This will need a significant philosophical shift in the way the NHS is managed. Focus needs to be moved away from managing hospitals as businesses to putting patient safety first. Holding NHS managers to account for their decisions may well be the best way to do this. Jane Tomkinson, Acting Chief Executive Officer at the Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, said: Following the trial of former neonatal nurse Lucy Letby, the Trust welcomes the announcement of an independent inquiry by the Department of Health and Social Care. In addition, the trust will be supporting the ongoing investigation by Cheshire Police. Due to ongoing legal considerations, it would not be appropriate for the Trust to make any further comment at this time. [ad_2]

Doctors came under pressure “not to make a fuss” when they raised concerns with hospital managers about a nurse who is accused of killing seven babies, a court has been told.
