Just discovered this lovely video made by a band called Shanks’ Pony. It’s about the true story of the murder of Bessie Sheppard, which is now part of the local folklore of Mansfield and Ravenshead. It was recently 200 years since the sad event. Her memorial stone still exists by the side of the road. I must go and find it one day.

When I told my players in Snare that the book on the Slasher’s table in The Hare was a fiction novel about two cannibal serial killers in love, they misunderstood what I said, and assumed I meant a non-fiction true crime type book. When the characters started talking about the cannibals in the book as if they were real, I let it happen and decided that was much funnier. Later on, I made a film starring these two killers. Then snoozlebee said “Hey, can I play the author of that book? And the killers can capture him, because they’re pissed that he basically wrote naughty fanfiction about them and published it as a sensational non-fiction book?” Of course I said YES! They then created Tom Ravenshead, depicted here. Tom was under the delusion for almost the entire film that the cannibal killers were super cool with what he did. (He’s kind of in love with them. He wanted what they had.)

A film actress and her martial arts instructor husband have been jailed for child sex offences.

Zara Phythian - who appeared in Doctor Strange with Benedict Cumberbatch - sexually abused a 13-year-old girl together with her husband Victor Marke.

Marke also sexually abused a 15-year-old girl on his own.

At Nottingham Crown Court, Phythian, who is 37, was jailed for eight years while her husband, 59, was sentenced to 14 years in prison.

Judge Mark Watson said Marke was the "driving force behind the abuse".

Addressing Phythian, the judge added: "Whilst you denied in cross-examination that you were besotted with Victor Marke, on the evidence I have heard I am in no doubt that your deviance was shaped by the influence that he had upon you from an early age."

The court heard the couple met when he was her martial arts instructor, and Phythian went on to have a successful career in martial arts, as a stuntwoman, and actress.

Marke, from Mavis Avenue, Ravenshead, Nottinghamshire, was charged with four counts of indecently assaulting a child between 2002 and 2003.

The pair were jointly charged with 14 counts of sexual activity with a child between 2005 and 2008.

They both denied the offences but were found guilty by a jury and sentenced at the same court on Monday.

Marke was sentenced to four years for abusing the girl on his own and a further 10 years for the abuse of the second victim with Phythian, from Taurus Close, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire.

Phythian - who was tried under her married name of Zara Marke - was jailed for eight years for her part in the abuse of the second victim.

The first victim told the court that what Marke did to her "nearly broke my mum".

In a victim impact statement read to the court, the second victim thanked the first woman for telling the police.

She added she had been a "cheeky and socially awkward" 13-year-old who was an easy target for the pair.

You mentioned somewhere that you've got quite a few side characters in your oc world, and I wanted to ask who you're favorite(s) is/are? :)

ah! hello!

here's the things, there's a pretty large volume of background or side characters due to the Castle acting as a central hub for TAHVA (which is a pretty massive agency) so there are a lot of nameless npc agents just working there in the background all the time

same with new coma city, it's pretty populated with extras

there are some side characters that exist as individuals but a few of them i haven't even named yet 0-0

off the top of my head there's patchwork's girlfriend squad (stephanie from accounting, large dragonling lady, golden retriever dogboy, and shark mermaid underwater gf) and couple of coworkers that verne is buddies with and knows the coffee/boba orders of

there's also the rest of the council! most of the main characters in the castle crew are part of the council: rev, rupee, jay, iden, mckenzie, mixi and synth technically, petals and baron. but there are a few more characters that make up the council as well!

let's see, sal and ravenshead are two (if you've seen the guy with the minecraft salmon box head that's sal, the raven head guy is ravenshead). they don't get along well and only show up in the same room at council meetings. like most of the castle crew, when the tma crossover began they became avatars of entities.

honestly i'm having a hard time remembering if there's anyone else on the council so there prooobably isn't, at least not in terms of side characters.

there's also clarence hunter, who is lucien's father and also showed up on creaturae after the story they came from ended. he works directly for rev as a researcher and also does science-y things in his spare time. he's not involved in most of the main plot things but he does end up an avatar as well and has the job of corralling the couple of tma villains that show up in creaturae (he's pretty good at it)

speaking of lucien, the version of him from darkjay's timeline also shows up a few times! him and darkjay don't spend a lot of time at the castle anymore (for entity conflict reasons) but he's on good terms with everyone there

the version of adrian from whit's timeline also makes an appearance, he goes by hunter and he's sort of a freelance agent that works for rev on occasion? i'm not entirely sure his role in the story but him and whit have a personal arc they go through

i think that's about it for side characters? i dunno i might've missed some XDD there's a lot here tho. as for a definitive favorite, well! i’m very bad at making decisions but sal has the bonus of originally being a sona design lol
