It was an unexpected arrangement, really. A goetia in the house of the Morningstars...she looked out of place among them. Lucifer had only known the girl's mother briefly, had been the one to decide that she and her husband would stay married. However, the king of hell had truly underestimated how far Paimon would go to be free of his marriage. All so he could in turn marry his mistress...

Again.

Perhaps the king felt responsible for the fate that fell queen Ravenna of the goetia. Or he felt a sense of obligation to the girl as he stood by her mother. Either way, an arrangement was struck between Paimon and Lucifer. Not a soul binding agreement, but rather a legal one. Lucifer agreed to take in Paimon's so called declared "bastard" in exchange for him allowing her to inherit her mother's old home, Raven Hall, when she came of age. The owl like king agreed, and Lucifer had taken the quetzal under his wing since then.

Now, ten years after the death of Queen Ravenna, phenix had grown up quite lovely alongside Charlie. They were best friends, playmates, sisters not in blood but in bond. So when the princess told her about her plan to redeem sinners, Phenix was quick to jump on to help with the planning.

"We need to keep something in mind though. Not every sinner will want to be redeemed, Charlie. There may even be some who can't be. Evil...truly does exist...and it's not always visible" Phenix paced in the library, her long tail feathers trailing behind her as she looked down thoughtfully.

The eldest illegitimate Marilda of Hull and unknown Velaryon, Addam is 19 years old. Born as a bastard on Hull, Addam spent his early life living with his mother, doing his best to provide for her and his younger brother, Alyn, who he shares a close relationship too. Once he reached the age of 13, Lord Corlys took a notice of Addam and his younger brother and took them on as his own apprentices. After he moved to Driftmark, Addam begun to take on many responsibilities, working tirelessly day and night. Two years before his 19th birthday, Addam claimed the dragon Seasmoke, and has a close bond with the adventurous beast. Addam is known to many as hardworking and extremely kind, doing endless favors for others and his loyalty can never be doubted. But many have whispered that he is overly soft and emotional, not worthy of being Lord Corlys squire no less a bastard who has no spine to speak up for himself. But no matter the words of others, Addam always has a smile on his face and remains close to Lord Corlys to further in his apprenticeship. His closest relationships are with his mother, brother, and his possible half-brothers, the Prince’s Jacaerys, Luke, and Joffrey. He feels family is important above all and goes above and beyond to keep his relationships strong. His noticeable softness comes out when he is confronted by others, any small matter will have him blush and turn the other way. His younger brother Alyn is known for coming to his rescue, as he has a much more demanding and angry demeanor than Addam, and Addam famously gets the younger out of trouble often. It was strange to be plagued by the cold when one is called an ‘ice queen’.  Mira laid there in the igloo she made to protect herself from the blizzard winds.  Unfortunately, there was no shelter to take refuge in for the night, so Mira had to brave the cold on her own.

She curled up into a ball, shuddering.  Her fingertips and toes were numb.  It was much too windy to start a fire.  She was much too tired, but she had to continue to survive.  She shivered as she pulled out a furred blanket she packed.  She hoped it would protect her just a little bit from the cold.  It was best to prepare it when she still had the energy.

Mira rolled as much of the blanket around her as she possibly could.  She needed to keep herself awake, but she was so tired.  The warmth from the furred blanket was so inviting…

She shuddered and laid there as the blizzard winds howled outside.  She hoped for salvation from the frigid air.  However, she was so far away from everyone in her group.  Still she must have hope for someone to come find her.  She had to.

To be called a pawn was rather fitting within the Phoenix Society. It went hand in hand with the main goal of its members, which is to be 'promoted', a system that rose back from the ashes of the former Hellfire Club.

This piece of knowledge, however, is rather... Esoteric. While the illustrious Sherlock Holmes being aware of all the little things should be expected of him, that in and of itself meant nothing good. It could be a cause for concern if the very existence of some secretive 'Master' to the Club was known to him.

The only relief this revelation brought was that the identity of the 'Master' might not have been uncovered by him... Yet.

"I'm sure your message has been heard." He retorted without missing a beat, making a sign to the guards to open the doors for his exit. "It's part of our establishment's greatest charms: The wine flows in the place where the walls have ears."

At this, the servant was startled from behind her pillar but, other than a visible blush, made no sound.

It’s the year 1880.

Raven had been keeping herself occupied by playing pretend again. But at least this time she doesn’t have to hide her brilliance.

“I’m going out John.”

“Oh?”

“For a case.”

“Shall I come with you then Holmes?”

“Not today my dear doctor. I’m afraid I would bore you. It’s a lot of standing around and waiting. Nothing fun for your little chronicles.” She lies pulling on her greatcoat.

“Well- alright.” John replies.

“It’s a lovely day. Perhaps you should call on your lady friend… haven’t seen her around for a while.”

“I might do just that.”

Raven as Sherlock treads down the streets of London. She was about to follow a lead right into a den of vipers. She had to play this one carefully.

She takes a cab to a lavish building. And raps on the door giving the password.

She’s admitted into the building by silent security with firearms at the ready.

Dim lights seemed to go hand in hand with this kind of club and there was an obvious charm to them. They hid the rather libertine activities partaking this place, yet masked none of its exuberance, which outdid what was presented on its outside.

After all, it was home to the one and only Phoenix society.

She was "welcomed" by two guards on both sides of the entrance, their faces hidden by identical red masks. They wore white gloves and the back of their black tailcoats was longer than usual, perhaps a specific characteristic of their job's uniform.

In the middle of the hall stood a third person: He was taller, equally well-dressed and masked like the guards. However, these two remained at their post when she went deeper into the club while he strode to her confidently, meaning they might not be on the same rank or simply held other functions.

Only once he reached her did he finally speak.

"What an unusual guest to see in these parts." His mask didn't betray whatever his gaze might have held when looking at her. "To what do we owe the honour of your visit, Mister Holmes?"
