Bakugou Katsuki
♡ TW: omegaverse, size difference, somewhat subjugating omega politics, old-fashioned high-class politics of sorts
♡ GN reader
Tumblr media
Bakugou doesn't tell people about his home life, so you can imagine the Bakusquad’s utter surprise when they invite themselves over only to find out he has a little omega housewife waiting for him.
“Oh, hello,” you say when the four additional Alphas pour in through the door after your Katsuki.
They all look at you unblinking. The biggest one, a redhead, doesn’t seem all that surprised—as though he’d had some suspicion that’s now been laid to rest. But the other three, an electric blond, a guy with raven hair, plus a woman with cotton candy curls, look at you as if they’d just stumbled upon a mouse in a lion's den—all slightly horrified at the sight of you.
Your alpha, the tightly wound grump seething with annoyance, stomps over to you and plants a quick kiss on your hairline. “They just barged in,” he grumbles under his breath. “Sorry if we scared you.”
You hum calmly in turn, “That’s okay. I heard you yelling in the driveway, so I wasn’t surprised.”
The four members of the Bakusquad are all gobsmacked at the domestic sight—the boss, their boss, their hard-headed macho boss, bending over and apologizing to this little omega half his size.
“Are you hungry?” you ask, peaking over the breadth of his hunched shoulders to the others with a warm smile on your pretty face. “I just finished dinner.”
“No,” Katsuki growls grumpily and winds his arms around you—like an old, tired dog, voice gruff, “Uninvited intruders don’t get my dinner.”
You only giggle it off, brushing his stubble with a soft hand, gently handling him further down to your level so you could place a kiss on his other cheek. “Oh, stop, Katsuki. Be nice to your friends.”
Then you walk off to the kitchen.
Calling out sweetly over your shoulder, “I went a little overboard, so there’s more than enough for everyone.”
And by god, if they don't fall in love with you right then before they’ve even got a single word out.
But love at first sight isn't all so strange. None of them have ever seen an Omega outside of on film—much less been hit with the scent of one. They're all bewitched and confused at the feeling as they trail after you as if they've been compelled by some higher power.
"Please sit," you smile, gesturing to the long table where only two seats have been made. "Katsuki, hon, help me, please"
They all scoot into each their unplaced seat while your big lousy Alpha begrudgingly helps set the table for the unwanted dinner guests. They remain silent as you serve them like the perfect homemaker—all crimson-cheeked and ashamed at how they sniff after you as you pass them by.
You sit just as brightly despite the awkward tension. "Please, enjoy."
They all obey, eating in utter silence—every single one of them trying hard not to stare—and all failing miserably.
Kaminari's the first to speak, having been left shaken by curiosity he no longer could contain.
"So... did he kidnap you, or?"
It's a fair question to some extent. Omega's are a dime a dozen, all regulated strictly by protective institutions. You can't just find one to mate like in the old days. You need to apply for one and be vetted—not to mention they cost a fortune.
"Denki!" Kirishima whisper-shouts in admonishment, shaking his head from across the table.
"What? I'm I the only one who's thinking it?" he throws his hands up and defends.
Katsuki's fist strains around his fork, but you lay your mit atop his, and he calms down shortly.
“Don't worry, Mitsuki and Masaru made the arrangements and paid the dowry," you giggle, running your hand through your Alpha's ashen hair with fondness in your eyes. "I was a graduation present of sorts. They worried Katsuki wouldn't take care of himself once he started working and thought having a mate might help him with his busy day.”
If Katsuki appreciates you spilling his business like that, he doesn't say anything about it—just continues eating.
Denki sighs and sags in his chair. “I always knew Bakugou’s folks were loaded. How nice...”
Sero grins, “Your jealousy is showing.”
Denki pouts, “I’m not exactly tryna hide it.”
"Yeah..." Mina pipes up. "Can't deny I'm jealous, too."
Sero's grin falls as well with his confession, "Yeah, me neither, actually."
You keep smiling sympathetically, "Well, you're all welcome here—I don't mind the extra company."
"Really?" Denki lights up.
Mina and Sero, too—in awe and in unison, saying, "She's an angel."
"Get yer own," Katsuki grumbles. "Now shut up and finish your food. Then you're leavin'—all of you."
"Oh, come on, man," Denki whines. "Have a little pitty for your fellow Alphas."
"Let's stay respectful, guys," Krishima buds in lightheartedly. "Think about what you're asking."
Then, rethinking the conversation, the other three all realized how it had sounded, even though they hadn't meant it that way. And they all blush even darker than before.
And still, you just smile—alphas are all so cute.
Especially your hyper-protective one.

Hear me out
Azul, Leona and Jamil (separated) with a reader that when they're alone they decide to put their hands on his cheeks and say things like: "why are you so perfect?" "Who's the most handsome man in the word? You!" "Stop being so awesome, you're smart, strong, handsome and even interesting, who allowed you to be that perfect?!"

Compliments | Yandere Twisted Wonderland
According to your world’s scientist men receive so few compliments. Imagine how much worse that is at a school like Night Raven? So as a friend in-house therapist it’s a mission of yours to cheer everyone on. And of course for all the life-threatening adventures you’ve had you’ve known quite a few of them pretty deeply. But of course a simple compliment means so much more from someone in love:
Tumblr media
Jamil Viper
“Hey Jaml?”
“Yes?”
“I wanted to tell you, you really saved the game today. And you looked real cool doing it.”
“....”
“Okay well have a good rest of the day!”
He’s fighting the heat that burns the tip of his ears and his cheeks
And when Kalim asks he’ll turn away
He knew he was obsessed but he didn’t know he was obsessed
To think you paid such close attention to him
This must be love
He just needs to reciprocate right make your heart beat out of your chest like you did him
Now if you happened to do the same to others he’ll be sure to remind them that you just happen to be nice
To pity them enough to want to say something
But if their heads are too big he’ll just take it off  bring them down to size
Tumblr media
Leona Kingscholar
“You know, I think you’re hair is just so pretty.”
“Yeah?”
“Yeah, it’s so silky for a guy as athletic as you. You’d think muscular guys like you would neglect their looks but not you.”
“Thanks herbivore. For a ditzy prefect you happened to notice somethings.”
He’s quick with a comeback
But he’s swooning inside
He’s proud that you notice these parts of him
It’ll help in the long run when he tries to woo you
That or he’ll be sure to remind you of what you do like about him after he’s killed your buddies his obstacles

Pairing: Nude Model!Geto Suguru x Model!FAB!Reader
Word Count: 1,977
Warnings: Nudity, flirting, suggestiveness, fluffy goodness
A/N: This fluffy Friday idea had me giggling and kicking my legs. So intimate and sweet!! Nemsmkekdkdk!!

Nude life modeling.
It was easy, paid pretty well, and it helped you get money for essentials when your shitty part-time job didn't schedule you. All you were required to do was strip down to your birthday suit and pose for a bunch of art students to draw you. The sessions lasted between two to five hours, with breaks. Sitting around naked while posing was an easy way to make twenty dollars an hour.
After a rough week of hardly any tips at the coffee shop, you desperately needed to pick up a modeling gig for the weekend. You needed groceries, and you had been dying to buy the newest book of your favorite series that just came out. Luckily, an evening art class needed a female model. You jumped at the opportunity, not wanting to eat instant Ramen for the third time this week.
Trotting into the art studio, you found it empty, allowing you to change into a plain white robe before the students arrived. Just as you tied the sash around your waist, the door to the classroom opened. You turned around expecting to find the teacher, only to find the sexiest man you’ve ever seen in your life.
He had dark eyes and raven hair tied up into a bun. You could hear the music blaring through his headphones as he tossed his backpack onto the ground before pulling his shirt over his head. With a squeak, you covered your eyes as if you weren’t already in the nude yourself.
“E-excuse me!!” you screamed at the top of your lungs, “Excuse me!! I-I’m in here!!” when you heard the familiar sound of a belt unbuckling, you grabbed a sketchbook off one of the desks, chucking it to the ground in front of his feet.
The man before you jolted, quickly pulling his headphones out. His dark eyes met you for the first time since he entered. “Oh shit!” He hid behind one of the canvases in the classroom. “Fuck! Sorry! Sorry!” You felt like your whole face was on fire.
“N-No, it’s okay! Maybe I have the wrong classroom!”
“Are you here to model for Yaga’s class?” the stranger asked tentatively.
“Uhm, yeah.”
“You're in the right place.”
Slowly blinking, you watched as the stranger peeked his head out from behind the canvas. “I am?” Your eyes wander toward the shirt and belt on the ground before him. “Then why are you—?”
The stranger stepped out in all his shirtless glory. Fuck he was hot, he had muscles for days. While you undressed the rest of him with your eyes, he stepped towards you. His fingers nervously played with his gauges as he stood in front of you, giving you a better view of his body. His muscles and the curves of his body would be perfect for any art student to sketch. If you were good with a pencil, you would have sketched a picture of him because it would be rude to pull your phone out and snap a photo of the insanely hot man in front of you.
“Yaga is going over body movement between two individuals. Like couples and stuff.” He gestured between the two of you. “That’s why I'm here. I guess Yaga failed to mention that in his ad today.” The strange brushed strands of his black hair out of his face. “The other model who was supposed to be doing this with me got food poisoning, so he was on a bit of a time crunch trying to find somebody to take her place.”
“Oh—” your fingers scratch your cheek, “right, okay, so I've always done solo work.”
The dark-haired man hummed in understanding. “Right, sorry he didn’t specify that in the ad. If you’re uncomfortable with it, I can let him know. If we have to cancel the class, that’s fine..” that was probably the best thing to do. But your stomach growled, hungry for something other than instant noodles.
“Ugh, no, it's fine, I’ll do it.” Why you agreed to do it was beyond you. Posing with a stranger, a hot one at that, was one of the craziest things you'd done. “Is it like back-to-back poses? Or are we talking cringe-worthy 90s family picture poses?”
The man before you chuckled as he shook his head, a dusty shade of rose spread over his cheeks. “That has to be one of the funniest things I've ever heard while modeling.” he glanced at the small wooden stage in the vented room. “It shouldn't be too crazy. Probably just us laying down or something.”
“Ah, very cool mystery man.”
“Oh right, sorry.” He held his hand out to you. “I’m Geto Suguru.”
“Well, it's nice to meet you.” You introduced yourself before leaving the room to allow him to change. “Just come get me when you’re done.”
Once standing in the hall, you run your finger through your hair, tugging it gently. How did your simple modeling evening turn into an evening of modeling with the super hot guy? The more important question was how you were going to get through this entire evening being next to said hot stranger in the nude?!
Keep it together. You got this! You told yourself and attempted to ease your nerves. The following 3 to 4 hours would fly by fast, and then you would never see each other again. If you were lying on the floor next to each other? Naked. It wasn’t a super big deal. Just you and a stranger lying on the ground!
Two hours into the session, you stared directly into Geto’s eyes. “Geto,” you spoke softly, attempting not to distract the students around you.
“What’s up? Do you need a break?”
“No, I was just going to say I wish we were doing a 90s family photo pose. You know those kinds where you would sit on a stool, and I would awkwardly place my hands on one of your shoulders while we stare off into the distance?” Geto’s shoulders shook as he tried to contain his laughter.
You had to make fun of a situation like this. Where you were naked, straddling the hips of a nude man you didn't know, only having a thin cloth separating you from each other. It wasn't as awkward as you thought it would be. Thanks to Geto; he made it extremely comfortable for you. Asking for your consent before touching you, he often checked in to see how you were feeling. He was the perfect gentleman.
Geto also happens to be just your type. He was handsome, sweet, and had a killer body; you felt drunk off of his smell and touch. But would it be wrong to ask him out after doing a job together? You wanted to keep things strictly professional. Your stomach, unfortunately, didn’t get the same memo.
It grumbled helplessly, begging you to feed it something with value instead of instant noodles, protein bars, or candy. God, it was so loud you prayed Geto didn't hear it, that he was too focused on posing to notice your stomach’s begging pleas. You thought you might have been in the clear until Geto gently squeezed your hips, drawing your eyes towards him.
“Hungry?” he asked with a slight smirk.
“N-No.”
“Huh, because it sounds to me like you are.” You shift slightly as if moving would cause your stomach to growl at a softer volume. “W-Wait don—nngh.” Something thick and hard pressed firmly against your ass, making you squeak.
Geto groans, his fingers digging deeper into your hips, stopping you from moving any further. All you can do is stare at him. His eyes remain shut tight. Was he hard? Was he, this god-built man, popping a boner with you on top?
“Geto.” You whisper, a smile tugging at your mouth.
“Please don’t.”
“Oh, so you can bring up my stomach growling, but I can’t bring up you hard co-“
Eyes snap open as he shushes you. “I’m sorry, I just think you’re cute and funny. I tried thinking about my grandma naked, but my brain would rather think of how good you feel in my lap.” He breathes out a minty sigh.
His candor had you blushing as you gripped his shoulder. You remain still like that until your stomach grows louder this time. Geto sputters out a laugh as you push yourself back an inch, rolling against his cock, causing a moan to break in through his laughter.
“Fuck, please stop doing that, or I’m gonna cum.”
“Already? Didn’t see you as a pre-mature ejaculator.”
“I’m not—-normally.”
“Says the guy who just said he was gonna cum.”
Geto cocks a pierced brow at you. “I’m like the energizer bunny; I can go all night.” The room feels hot, and it’s not from the lights on you, and it’s not from constricting clothing. The classroom is unbearably hot because of the building tension between you two.
“I doubt that.” You confess in a whisper, rolling your eyes. “How long do you last? Two minutes tops?”
He scoffed gently, kneading your hips. “Is that a challenge?” The urge to kiss and take him up on his challenge eats at you like acid. You inch closer, lips nearly touching, when someone clears their throat behind you.
The sound of them clearing their throat reminds you that you are not alone. The both of you are in the middle of a classroom modeling for a bunch of students. Students that can clearly see and possibly hear the conversation you two are having.
“Later.”
That single word puts a pin in your whole conversation. Geto’s erection goes down while your stomach continues to growl, winning the softest of chuckles from the man you're still straddling. Somehow, by the grace of the gods, you manage to make it through the entire class without your stomach eating itself or grinding down on Geto, much to your amazement.
With the class over, Geto lets you change in the main room while he uses the supply closet. You finish before him, grabbing your things, eyes darting towards the closet. How does one ask out a fellow nude model? Was it just the heat of the moment that had you hungry for his touch? Or was there something truly there between you?
The never-ending questions stopped as Geto stepped out, pushing his hair back, eyes scanning the room. The instant they find you, he’s crossing the floor faster, his backpack slung over his shoulder. There was something in his smile that made you weak in the knees.
“Do you like soba noodles?”
“Yeah, I do.” Your stomach growls in agreement.
A smile so smooth it gives the butter a run for its money graces Suguru’s face. “Let me take you out for dinner and a drink,” he starts heading for the door, “before that stomach gremlin decides to eat me instead of food.” Heart racing, you grab your things, joining his side, hands clasped behind your back.
“I hate to be the one to tell you this, Geto, but the chances of me eating you after dinner are high.”
“Is that so?”
“Oh yes, I'd say there is a ninety-five percent chance you’re on the menu for dessert if you want to come back to my apartment.”
“Funny, I was going to say there’s a ninety-eight percent chance I was going to eat you for dessert~”
Glancing up, you nearly stumble as Geto sticks his pierced tongue out. “Then maybe I’ll accept your challenge and prove I can last longer than two minutes.”
You smirk, licking your lips with a starved expression. “Show me what you got from the energizer bunny.”

hi hi my love ! thank you for you patience <3 and adding more sirius to my blog
— sunshine
sunshine!sirius x grumpy!reader ★ 1.2k words
"Sirius Black if you don't stop tapping your finger against the table, I will not hesitate to hex you."
You sent a glare towards the raven haired boy from across the table. History of Magic was your worst subject and you had a big exam coming up. "Why aren't you with the other boys anyways?"
It's not like you two weren't friends, but Sirius wasn't usually the one to seek you out. It was usually Peter since he was the one who introduced you to his friends, then Remus who at times also enjoyed his peace and quiet. You spent quite a bit of time with the girls too, especially since you all roomed together. James and Sirius had always been friendly with you, but it wasn't like you would stay up in the common room sharing secrets, although Sirius had recently been around you more than than normal.
"Well aren't you just a ray of light." Sirius sent you a lopsided grin, setting his elbows on the table and resting his head on his hands. "They're out somewhere with Prongs looking for Evans, and I wanted to see my favorite girl."
Your quill froze over the parchment. Sirius was such a flirt, you couldn't take anything he said to you to heart, because he didn't mean it, right? You lowered your head and tried to focus on your notes, pretending like you didn't hear him.
"Anyways," he chuckled awkwardly, scratching the back of his neck. "You know about his problem with Evans, and you're a girl, could you give me some advice to relay back to him?"
"Thanks for noticing. What kind of advice?"
"Well, what sort of things do girls like to receive?"
"I don't know Sirius, I don't regularly receive gifts from boys." You rolled your eyes and scoffed, glancing up at him to see his eyes on you, waiting for an answer. "but I supposed I would quite like it if someone brought me my favorite drink, or book. You know, it shows that they've paid attention to the little things."
"So how would you- girls-" he let out a shaky laugh, his cheeks tinged pink. "How would girls like to be asked on a date?"
How would you know? You didn't want to speak negatively of yourself but there had to be some reason as to why boys never came up to you. You would never guess that it was because Sirius had already warned the whole male population at Hogwarts to back off his very pretty friend.
Groaning quietly, you rubbed your hands over your tired face. "Sirius, I don't know, can you please let me review my notes in peace?"
Tumblr media
"That doesn't count, you're not being fair." Peter whined, pulling on his hair as he looked down at the chessboard. You shrugged and stuck your tongue out at the boy, getting up and taking a seat on the carpet by the fire next to Lily.
It was the night before your exam and as much as you wanted to hole up in your room and cram, your friends had convinced you to spend time with them. Lily was painting Marlene's fingernails while Remus took your place playing against Peter in chess.
"Who wants hot chocolate!" James called out, Sirius and him walking towards you all with trays of steaming mugs. The two passed out the sweet beverages,
"Thanks Sirius." you thanked him softly, his gaze softening as you wrapped your hands around the warm drink and blew gently on the top. Your eyes brightened as you took a sip and tasted a hint of peppermint.
The rest of the evening was spent playing games, dancing to Remus' new records and sharing Peter's surplus of sweets from Honeydukes. You felt your shoulders relax as you looked around at your friends having a good time, catching Sirius already looking you. His eyes darted away as soon as you saw him, the corners crinkling as he laughed as some joke James had made. You felt a nudge in your side, turning to see Lily cocking her head towards the dorms asking if you were ready to go. Nodding, the three of you girls stood up and waved goodnight to the Marauders and shuffled up to your room.
You flopped into bed with a blissful sigh. "Thanks for tonight guys, I needed this."
Marlene waved her hand in dismissal. "You've studied hard, you needed a bit of a break."
"The peppermint hot chocolate was just the thing I needed, it's my favorite."
"Peppermint hot chocolate?" Lily's nose scrunched with disgust, but then her eyes widened with realization, her and Marlene sharing a knowing grin. "Right, the peppermint hot chocolate."
You turned your head to squint at them. "Why do you two have that look on your faces?"
"We don't know what you're talking about, goodnight!"
Tumblr media
You're going to pass the exam, you're to going to p—
"Watch it, you half-breed, or I'll turn you into the little mutt you are." Lucius Malfoy spat at you as you ran into him, pulling out his wand.
"Oh sod off, why don't you put your daddy's money where your mouth is?" you scoffed, reaching for your own wand. He sneered at your comeback, taking a step closer to you.
"Hey sunshine, I was looking everywhere for you! Let me walk you to class." Sirius appeared next to you, taking your school bag and slinging it over his shoulder, shooting a grin to Lucius, canines on full display. "Thanks for watching her for me Malfoy but next time, don't."
Sirius steered you away from the fuming Slytherin, arm around your shoulder. He ducked his head down to speak to you quietly. "You alright?"
"Fine, boys are just jerks." you grumbled, your mind now focusing on your exam as you two turned into the hall where your classroom was located.
"Not all of us though, right?"
The corner of his mouth lifted, your smiled mirroring his own. "Yeah, Pete's alright."
"You're killing me doll." He threw his head back dramatically, his smile slipping as yours did, now standing in front of the History of Magic classroom. "Hey, how about we made a deal?"
"Huh?" you pulled yourself out of a daze, looking up at him. "What's the deal?"
Sirius coughed to the side and straightened his posture. "You get an Outstanding on your exam, and I'll take you out."
A flush crept up your face, not believing your ears. As annoying as he was, of course you had thought about Sirius romantically before, who hadn't? You really hoped your studying paid off, your smile and voice coming out shy. "What if I don't get an Outstanding?"
Sirius lit up like the Great Hall during the holidays, smiling ear to ear. "Then I'm still taking you out to cheer you up. I also have just been dying to take you on a date, sunshine."
An hour later you left the classroom with a giant smile on your face and a big 'O' on your parchment. Sirius immediately took your hand in his and dragged you to Hogsmeade for your first date, the twinkling sound of your laughter letting him know it wouldn't be your last.

FEATURING. osamu dazai x gn!reader — wc: 3.1k
SUMMARY: mori reveals dazai's true nature as a mentor to akutagawa.
CONTENTS: references to past abuse, arguments, pm!reader, ada!dazai, angst, typical dazai warnings lol, comfort at the end
notes: thank you for the request !! i hope this is okay <3
Tumblr media
It’d begun like any other morning. Already exhausted, you woke with an overwhelming list of things to do, tasks that needed to be completed by the evening.
It was a typical routine for you, these days. As a high-ranking member of the Mafia, you never got a break. Not from your job, nor the menial chores you needed to suffer through in your personal life. The laundry, it seemed, wouldn’t do itself, no matter how much your boss paid you for all the illegal actions you’d committed.
And though it was wearisome, everything had been fine. The sun began to set, and you realized that for the rest of the day, you would be free.
That was, until your routine check-in with Mori somehow led to a disclosure of what had been years’ worth of private information.
He’d greeted you as normal, sat you down before his desk with his oily smile, and had you review everything you’d accomplished that week. Though you believed you would be free to go within half an hour, when you stood to leave, Mori released an oh, by the way, and reiterated the unanticipated torment that Dazai had put Akutagawa through.
For the entirety of his story, you sat without so much as a twitch of the muscle, but you couldn’t comprehend why Mori was telling you now. It had been nearly four years since Dazai left the Mafia, and though the Boss had been aware of your relationship as teenagers, he’d never given you any sign that he knew it’d continued after Dazai defected.
You’d both been careful, secretive. You never did anything to draw any suspicion or be labeled as a traitor, and the two of you were successful.
At least, you thought you’d been successful.
Mori had never once mentioned it, had never so much as batted an eye when you spoke about Dazai from time to time. Though, now, his grin was much too conniving, the words made of steel as he drew them out, directing them in a sharp point towards your chest.
He had no intentions of going after Dazai, that much was clear. Nor did he seem intent on killing you for your misdeeds. Already, he’d spun a vile web, knowing exactly how to use you as his best asset. With you still under his command, he had some sort of advantage over Dazai and the Agency.
Perhaps, his comments were just a test of your loyalty. If Mori laid that one tiny seed of doubt in your mind, would it be enough to fracture the bond between you and Dazai that had been unsevered for years?
You wanted to convince yourself, fervently, that the answer was no. You’d been by Dazai’s side for this long and nothing he’d done had turned you away. Yet, you were unprepared for the anger that had risen in you, burning so hot and ravenous that you were unable to think of anything else.
It was all that was on your mind as you returned to the apartment, a barren space that had been used for nothing besides meetups with Dazai since the two of you purchased it. Each wall was entrenched with years of as much sin as there was love. Items that belonged to both of you were scattered across the surfaces, but there was never anything too important.
At the end of the day, neither of you could stay there long.
You paced the apartment, thinking through everything that Mori had said, over and over again. An ache of sorrow fought against your warranted rage, and you stood by the door waiting for Dazai to enter.
As angry as you were with him, as horrified as you wanted to be, there were still years and years of comfort and gentleness that placed a cooling balm over your burning wounds.
Still, a part of you had always been envious that Dazai had managed to escape into something good, and you’d become the enemy to his organization. Now, it seemed, you were the only thing holding him back.
In some other universe, surely, there was a life better for the both of you than this.
Despite your affection, you inhaled, fortifying yourself for a regrettable conversation. You channeled your resentment into logic, rephrasing sentences in your mind until they were perfect, forming an argument that couldn’t be so easily shut down by Dazai’s soothing words.
The door clicked, unlocked by the only other person that held a key to the salacious space. He was humming to himself, an upbeat song that had been stuck on the radio charts for weeks.
Something about that simple action startled you, set you off kilter, and you crossed your arms, protecting yourself. You came here with a purpose, and you refused to diminish the weight of the conversation. A puff of steam left you on a heavy exhale.
Dazai threw the key on the counter and smiled, his eyes softening the moment they caught a glimpse of you. “You got here faster than I thought.” His tone was cheerful, and he seemed relaxed, without the foreboding cloud of misery pushing down on him. It was so unusual that you, almost, regretted bringing up what you’d learned from Mori at all.
Though, it wasn’t something you could just ignore. You straightened, making sure not to deflate under his undeniable warmth.
For a moment, Dazai didn’t realize that anything was wrong. He hung his coat up, stretched his limbs, and talked without facing you. “It’s been too long since we’ve seen one another. I thought about you all day,” he said, drawing out the syllables with a short laugh. “You’re always such a distraction. How will I ever get my work done?”
Dazai seemed so happy, and in all your years together, you’d never thought that would be a word used to describe him. It pained you to ruin that, even as your nails dug into your palm, trying to reconcile the two versions of Dazai that you knew.
You looked away. If you wanted to say what you needed to, you couldn’t bear to see the way his soft expression turned into one of animosity.
For a few more moments, he rambled on to himself, before realizing that you hadn’t said a word at all. You felt frozen in the middle of the room, your mouth dry as you tried to think of the best way to segue into the conversation.
“Hey.” Dazai had grown quiet, and he stopped mulling around the apartment, finally focusing all his attention on you. “What’s wrong, pretty?” There was a pout on his lips, his expression already falling from the bright, joyful one he’d worn when he’d entered. “I still haven’t gotten a kiss.”
You were weak for a moment, questioning if your anger was even worth it. A minute passed of your own silence before you resolved yourself, ending your hesitance. What you’d heard had upset you tremendously; you couldn’t just brush past it like it was nothing.
“Why didn’t you tell me?”
Dazai’s face screwed up, eyebrows pinched, as he tried to remember what he could’ve possibly done to upset you that week. Though you often bickered about ridiculous things, it was rare that either of you lashed out in anger at the other.
Your expression was enough to let him know that this was one of those times. He hesitated. “I’m… not sure what you mean, love. Did I do something wrong?”
At that, you laughed, amused that he could play so innocent. He’d changed while in the Detective Agency, that much was certain, but you knew every bit of his soul and he certainly hadn’t been purified of his sins. “Mori told me about Akutagawa today. I doubted how much of it was true until I thought about it, really thought about it, and it makes sense.”
Dazai stared blankly back at you, his eyes searching your face for any more context. They flicked back and forth, round brown irises full of an uncertainty you weren’t sure was genuine. He was a master of manipulation, and you refused to ever be a pawn in his schemes, no matter how small. “I haven’t seen Akutagawa in weeks. Whatever’s happened to him—”
You stood straighter, keeping your hands tight at your sides. “I’m not talking about now, Osamu. I’m talking about years ago; back when you were training him.”
A moment passed; he didn’t blink. Nothing in his eyes betrayed him. “Would you care to provide me with some context?”
“You know what I’m talking about.” You scowled, clenching your teeth so hard that it hurt. “How could you do that to him? All those years, you and Oda kept it a secret from me. You hurt him. You were so cruel.” Your nails dug deep into your palm. “I told you everything that happened to me before I came to the Mafia. Every way that I was hurt, and you told me you understood. You promised me, and you turned around and did the same thing to him.”
Dazai held his body loosely, surprised by your sudden outburst of emotion. It seemed he was unsure what to do with the confession you’d just handed over. Dazai licked his lips, wetting the dry skin, and searched deep into your soul for the best way to soothe you.
But the betrayal, the hurt, was buried deep within you, and the anger wouldn’t fade so easily.
“I never kept secrets from you,” he said, instead of answering any questions. His tone was cool, unaffected, like you hadn’t just raised your voice as your countenance changed into one of distress. “You just never bothered to ask.”
Silence. You swallowed, hard, each notch of your spine stiffening. “That’s not fair. How was I supposed to know his training was any different from mine? Should my first suspicion have been that you were mistreating him?”
Dazai grew grim, the first twinge of emotion you’d seen since you’d spoken. He rubbed his temple. “You’ve got a right to be angry, but I never hid anything from you on purpose.” He reached out for you, his touch soft as he rubbed your bicep. “I just don’t know what you want me to do about it now, sweetheart. Why are you bringing this up?”
You didn’t want to tell him about Mori, not yet. That was a conversation for another time, and he wouldn’t hesitate to claim that bit of information was the more pressing matter.
Instead, you inched out of his hold, gazing back at him with contempt. “You can’t be serious, Osamu.” His audacity shouldn’t have been surprising, but it shocked you, nonetheless. “That’s all you have to say?”
“What do you want me to say?” Dazai held his hands out like you would hand him over a script, a typed apology just for him to repeat back at you. “Never once did you show any concern for Akutagawa’s wellbeing when he joined the Mafia. Suddenly, you care, and I’m not sure why.”
“That’s not true!” you said, your cheeks hot with frustration. “We we’re friends—”
Dazai laughed, though it was mocking, without any true humor. “You expressed an interest in him that wasn’t ever reciprocated.”
You scrubbed your face, drained from his rebuttals, and put enough space between the two of you so that Dazai couldn’t touch you.
“Fine. Maybe we weren’t friends, but I wantedto be because I knew he understood. I thought we could get to know each other well. Then one day, he wouldn’t even speak to me anymore. He looked at me like I knew so much more than he did.” A finger was in Dazai’s face, scolding. “You fucked it all up. We’re just a year apart, Osamu. I didn’t want him to treat me like that just because I was dating his mentor.”
There was a break of silence. Dazai sniffed, recovering some sense of power in the conversation. “I’m sorry.” he said, but it was merely to appease you, no sincerity in the words. “Perhaps my methods of training were inappropriate and unethical, but it’s the Mafia, my love. What did you expect?”
Frustrated tears welled up in your eyes. “And if it had been me? If I had been under your command, would you have done the very same?”
At that, Dazai softened, his lips curling down. The light in his eyes flickered and faded, any happiness in his face muted. “It would never have been you. You know I could never bring myself to hurt you.”
You buried your face in your hands, his sweet comment doing little to soothe you. “He was just a kid—”
“I was too.” Dazai held your wrists gently, prying them away. He was frowning, dark eyebrows pinched together as he looked at you with both concern and betrayal. “You’re going to blame this all on me, when I was a child too, doing what I thought was right?”
“No. But you’re an adult now, and you still treat him the same way.” You shoved him away, putting space between you, never before having felt so cold in Dazai’s embrace. “He’s nothing more than a chess piece to you. That’s something I can’t accept.”
“Is that the case?” Dazai turned hard; suddenly he’d lost the upper hand. “You’ve got a lot of opinions on what’s right. Yet, remind me who’s the one still in the Mafia?”
It was meant to hurt you, a low blow that stung and went straight to your chest. You hadn’t wanted to stay in the Mafia, but he’d never given you the choice. Dazai had left you with nothing more than a note and a promise, and you were too stupidly fond of him to ever let him go completely.
“It’s so hard to love you sometimes, Osamu,” you said, quietly, trying to keep your emotions at bay. “Your new friends at the agency get to be ignorant about the man you used to be, but I know just how cruel he was. I see him every time I look at you.”
Dazai stared back at you stunned and hurt. He flexed his fingers, but for once, he didn’t reach out for you.
You couldn’t bear to look at him anymore.
The bathroom door slammed behind you, and you stood in front of the mirror, watching splotchy patches form on your skin from unreleased emotions. The sink ran, a steady stream with no end, to tune out your deep, calming breaths until you no longer felt that immense amount of anger.
You knew what you were getting yourself into by falling in love with a man like Dazai. You’d known it from the beginning. He was no different than all the people that had hurt you, the reason why you’d come to the Mafia in the first place.
Yet, he was so much more loving with you, gentle and patient, and you knew that under every layer of bad intent and regretful crimes, Dazai was a good person.
With a sigh, you turned off the sink and crept back into the room, feeling remorseful and miserable. The knowledge of what he’d done to Akutagawa was something you couldn’t forgive him for. It was horrible and traumatizing, but so were so many other things that he’d done.
You couldn’t place double standards on him for his previous actions. If you had loved him despite all of those things, you weren’t going to be able to stop now.
“Osamu?” you said in a quieter voice, creeping out of the bathroom silently, slinking within the shadows.
He was spread over the length of the couch, his head resting on the arm of it as he stared up at the ceiling. When you approached, he shifted into a seated position, waiting for you to speak.
“I didn’t mean what I said,” you began, walking slowly towards him, drawn to him easily. “You’re not a difficult man to love. I’ve never felt that way.”
Dazai smiled, though it was half-hearted, and extended a hand to you. You took it quickly and he drew you into his lap, squeezing you tight. “Well, I certainly don’t make it easy on you.”
You were silent. He kissed your forehead, running a delicate touch across your back.
“I can’t take back what I did to him.” Dazai sighed, dropping his forehead to your shoulder. “The damage is done.”
“I know that.” You breathed, his calming scent wrapping around you, reminding you that no matter what, he would always be your home. “It’s not fair for me to judge you when I’m still in the Mafia. My crimes are no better than yours. Even if what you did…” you trailed off shaking your head. “No. You’re right, Osamu. It’s not fair.”
He guided your fingers to his lips, kissing each of them lightly with the beginnings of a smile. “I’ll never be a perfect man, but I’m trying to be a better one.” Though he refrained from showing vulnerabilities to most people, he was more open with you, more willing to reveal the parts of himself he despised the most. “I… hope you know that. It may not seem like I’m trying, but—"
“I know you are.” You ran a hand through his hair and swallowed, resting your cheek on top of his head. “Osamu, you’re already so different than you were when you left. You’ve changed much more than I have. It was horrible of me to diminish that.” You squeezed his hand. “I’m sorry I said that.”
A minute passed before he spoke again, his breath so steady, a reminder that he was still there, with you, despite all attempts he’d made to leave you behind. We’ve seen every ugly side to one another. It makes it far too easy to be unkind. Doesn’t mean I’d ever love you any less.”
You smiled, though it was sad, but through your hurt you were still devastatingly devoted to him. It was just easier to ignore the damage he’d caused when you weren’t staring it right in the face, a walking, breathing reminder of the person he held inside him. The very type of man that had once hurt you.
You squeezed him tighter, blocking out the cruel memories of your past. Dazai had never laid a punishing hand on you, had never spat demeaning words at you that could never be forgiven. Through it all, he had adored you, treated you with a gentleness you’d desired, and loved you without conditions.
Brushing dark hair away from his forehead, your eyes softened, the darkness in him cracking as the light began to shine through. “I know, Osamu,” you said, your cheeks pinching, warm. “Despite it all, I will always love you without regrets.”

|| Flustered (Geto Suguru X Reader) ||
in which reader has a big crush on Geto (don't we all?), just kind of me tapping into the funny post-credits vibes of jjk. notes: I even kept the small headlines I made for each part because it felt cute, might delete later.

The part where Geto Suguru likes seeing you flustered.
You were sure Geto Suguru hadn't the slightest idea of what he was doing. Because if he did, it would make him a devil.
He'd always sit patiently waiting for the end of class before coming up to you, just to place a large hand on your shoulder while you were still sitting in your seat, letting it linger there for far too long as he spoke.
"Be careful, yeah?" He heard passingly from Shoko about the mission you were about to take on with one of the older sorcerers.
"Always am." You smile, thinking that if he doesn't move his hand off of your shoulder soon, the warmth of his fingertips might burn through the fabric of your uniform.
"That's not what Shoko says," He gets down on his knees to face you and tilts his head lightly, a dark strand of hair grazing the side of his nose. It would be impolite to not look straight at him now - the eye contact he kept so easily made the blush creep to your cheeks. His hand moves to rest on your thigh. There's no chance in hell he doesn't know what he's doing.
"Huh?"
"Are you feeling okay? Your face looks red, you shouldn't go if you feel sick." He says.
"I'm - fine, I just -" Your chair scrapes the floor as you get up abruptly, "I don't want to keep Mei Mei waiting."
Did someone tell him that I have a crush on him? You thought while stumping down the hall, the only one who knows is Shoko, and there's no chance she'd do that. Damn it.
-
The part where you learn that if you ever ask for something of Mei Mei, be very specific.
It doesn't help to wipe the sweat. It just mixes with dirt and blood that covered you from head to toe, leaving your vision blurred and your moves sloppy. Mei Mei has it all under control - as she usually does, with her battleaxe swinging elegantly through numerous curses each instant, leaving their severed parts to rest on the dirty linoleum floors, but it doesn't mean she'd let you off easy.
"You should at least try to focus, or you wouldn't live long enough to have any chance of getting together with Geto."
huh?
"I'm sorry. I'll focus." you mutter shamefully.
The mission ends almost instantaneously when Mei Mei finds the curse responsible for the recent killings, her blows unwavering even at the horrid sight. You knew you weren't at your usual level on this mission, but Mei Mei's words have shifted your focus completely.
The car ride was silent except for the sound of your uniform's fabric brushing over the car seat every time your leg bounced restlessly, thoughts running back and forth through your mind.
"Mei-Mei, How'd you know that -"
She didn't even wait for your sentence to finish; "Gojo paid me to send a raven to pry on yours and Shoko's conversations."
"Oh," fuck, "wait, shouldn't it be a secret?"
"He paid me to snoop," a smile grazed her lips, "not to keep a secret."
-
The part where Gojo Satoru faces imminent death.
"I'll kill you, Satoru!" You shout, but Gojo only likes it more. He runs around the class pretending that all the things you're throwing at his direction will actually hurt him. He hides his tall figure poorly behind desks, giggling every time another part of school property passes his head by a few inches.
"And end a bloodline just like that?" He teases.
Shoko stands silently in the doorway, watching the scene unfold. She puts a cigarette in her mouth, ready to turn away from the class and leave you to deal with Gojo in any way that you see fit. Out of the corner of her eye, she sees Geto approaching the classroom, oblivious to the new developments.
"Ieri - " He tries to say something, but she just slowly shakes her head "No".
"Wouldn't go in there if I were you." Shoko closes the door behind her, muffling the conundrum of threats and laughter coming out of the room.
In the hall, Gojo's mocking words could still be heard through loud thuds of heavy objects hitting the floor, "D'you really wanna' kill your boyfriends best friend?"
-
The part where Geto Suguru is so, so sorry.
Geto felt the guilt rush over him now that you knew that he had flustered you very much deliberately. You've ignored him for almost a week now, which by any means would be considered a feat, seeing that you've spent hours together in classes and practice almost every day. And even when he came to apologize, befitting a Jujutsu sorcerer, you stood before him in the hallway with an unholy amount of unwavering pride.
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have done that, especially when I knew that you have a crush on me." He had stated the obvious, but still somehow managed to lie. He really wasn't sorry - his heart fluttered everytime he saw your face turn crimson under his touch.
"Had." You corrected.
"Had?"
"Yeah, had a crush on you."
"Oh, so you don't anymore?"
"No." You lied through your teeth, but you were rather convinced that if you'd just keep focusing on the anger you felt, the feeling will blow over eventually anyway.
"That's understandable," He says, taking a small step closer to you, just to test the waters. When you didn't move, he raised his arm slowly, pressing the palm of his hand to the side of your face, watching your body involuntarily eliciting the same response he longed for. On the tips of his fingers he clearly felt your jaw tense up slightly, and the heat gathering quickly in your cheeks, "But I just can't have that happen. You look so cute like this, you know?"
It was futile to resist his kiss, his whole body felt like it belonged to be pressed right against yours. Your pride melted against his tongue, his lips only stopping when he had to draw a quick breath. By the time his hand was entangled in your hair, it was too late to try and regain the last shreds of dignity, and so you opted to wrap your arms around him to press your bodies even closer.

Pt.10
Damain: well?
Asshole doctor: I have nothing to apologize for! She’s just a teenager with and her pregnancy hormones make her exaggerate!
Jason; pregnancy hormones!?
Raven:…..
Kori: shit
Tim: you’re pregnant!?
Raven:..*nods, tearing up again* I wanted to tell you myself…..😣
Jason: *draws his knife* okay so not only will you pay for making her cry the first time and insulting her, but also for ruining her chance to tell us she’s pregnant on her own terms!
Asshole doctor: you can’t do anything to me! We’re in a hospital! The security will have you arrested!
Tim: good point. *drags him outside by his hair*
Damian: *smirks*
Dick: we got this asshole covered little d. Go back with Rae and see your baby.
Raven: thanks dick..
Dick: don’t mention it, and congratulations!! *hugs her tightly* we are so celebrating after now I gotta go! *runs after Tim*
Jason: *ruffles her hair* congratulations kiddo. *follows dick and Tim outside*
Very Nice doctor: Miss? Are you ready?
Raven: *nods*
Very Nice doctor: alright. *brings her back in the room with Damian and Kori* Did he check any vitals before being an ass?
Raven: no…
Very nice doctor: I’m sorry Hun. I don’t know why he wasn’t fired yet. *checks her blood pressure, blood sugar, heart rate breathing etc.*
Damian: *staring her down like a hawk*
Very nice doctor: don’t worry sir, I’m got gonna hurt her
Damian: hm
Very nice doctor: well your BP is a bit high, but that’s to be expected considering what just happened. Blood sugar is also a bit lower than we’d like, but Your heart and lungs sound good.
Raven:..is that gonna hurt the baby?
Very nice doctor: right now it shouldn’t. You’re stressed so it’s understandable to have a higher BP than normal. Your blood sugar is more what I’m worried about. Have you eaten anything today?
Raven: yeah..but I can’t keep anything down
Very nice doctor: how often are you throwing up?
Raven: pretty often..I don’t exact times
VND: that’s okay hun. And it says in your records your anemic right?
Raven: *nods*
VND: are you on any iron supplements?
Raven: no ma’am..
VND: okay. If its alright I’d like to put you on some for the rest of the pregnancy, as well as prenatal vitamins and some meds to help with the nausea
Kori: are all these meds good for her?
VND: yes. One is just vitamins, the other is similar, mostly just to get some iron in her system. The nausea meds are the only “medication” she’ll actually be on. And don’t worry, I won’t prescribe her anything that wasn’t safe for her and baby.
Kori: okay.
VND: now with all that out of the way, you ready to see your baby?
Raven: yes!!
VND: *smiles* okay, lay down hun.
Raven: *lays down on the bed*
VND: *puts a blanket over her and pulls her hospital gown up* fair warning, this is gonna be cold. *gets that weird jell stuff that they use for ultrasound and puts it on her belly*
Raven: *flinched from the cold*
VND: sorry
Raven: it’s okay..
Damian: *holds her hand beside her*
Raven: *small squeeze*
VND: you ready?
Raven: yes
VND: *puts the wand (I think that’s what it’s called) on her abdomen*
Raven: *watching the screen waiting to see the baby*
Tumblr media
VND: *points at the small bean* and there’s your baby
Raven:..🥹
Damian: *smiles with happy tears in his eyes* it’s small🥹
VND: yes it is. Your 6 weeks right now, and baby has a strong heart beat
Kori: 🥹 it’s so precious..
Raven: *happy crying* our baby..*looks at Damian* I can’t wait to meet it..🥹
Damian: *kisses her and her belly* I can’t wait either. I’m already in love with it
VND: you two are adorable
*meanwhile outside*
Cop: so one more time….why are you beating up a doctor?🤦🏻‍♀️
Jason: cause he is very very rude and unprofessional to his patients and made our sister in law to be cry.
Tim: and we have about 200+ different complaints about him that the hospital keeps throwing in the trash
Cop:….i don’t get paid enough

Inspiration
Ruby:Yo-yo?
Carmine:Hmm?
Ruby:Ren told me you paid a visit to him for some training. Said you did pretty good.
Carmine:Not really. Stances were okay but aura manipulation is weird. Probably won’t rely on it too much.
Ruby:Seems like you’re drawing inspiration from everyone you can. If that the case, I have something for you.
The reapers reveals a long weapon’s case. She puts in the ground in front of her daughter and taps it with her foot, causing it to open up. Two curved blades lay brightly inside. Their detail is so intricate in the engravings and design. It’s obvious they’re meant to combine. Carmine picks them up to find they have little heft to them but are drastically lighter than her own sword. She might as well be holding nothing.
Carmine:Wow, these are crazy looking. Not necessarily my style but I can see how they could be useful.
Ruby:They’re what Cinder uses.
Carmine:…….What? How did y-
Ruby:These are replicas I made and trust me when I say they’re identical. If you put them together then it can fire arrows.
Carmine:Why would you ever make these?
Ruby:Because, my little huntress, I can be as petty and spiteful as anyone else when pushed far enough. Use these on patrol and missions for the next month; study them well. Utility, movement, reach, all that you can.
Carmine:“Know thy enemy” right? I have to admit, I wasn’t expecting this from you considering our differing views on how to handle the situation.
Ruby:I made a vow to you the day you were born that I will be a mom before a huntress when it came to making sure my family was safe. I still plan on finding and taking out Cinder myself, but if for some reason you find her first or she finds you, then by all means, give her every layer of hell you can.
Carmine:I don’t suppose you’ve made me a parasol blade too?
Ruby:If only that’s all it took to learn Neo’s moves. I mean this, just avoid her. She’s at least a three person job and two of them need to hate her.
Carmine:Heh, okay then. Mind if we go a few rounds then?
Ruby:…It’s better if you ask Ren?
Carmine:C’mon. I know you don’t like training me but-
Ruby:No, it not that. I just…I might go too hard if you’re using those.
Carmine:So? Honestly you’d be doing me a favor. Everyone always talks about how intense you can get, all the stories of your passion and hardcore moments. I don’t get to see that. I actually feel weird for never seeing you angry. I get angry all the time!
Ruby:Sweetie, what kind of a parent would I be if I took out repressed rage on my child in a sparring match?
Carmine:…Better than Raven. Better than your mom too.
Ruby:!? Wha-
Carmine:I think you’re pretty cool, despite everything that’s happened. We always try to our feelings out but honestly it never really works well. I get you’re trying to be an example, but it’s okay if normal being a mom doesn’t come as naturally as a huntress. Mix both. I don’t care. I kinda need both. I mean if I can survive you then Cinder would be easier by comparison. Plus…it’s not like I could stop myself from swinging at you seriously either.
Ruby:Did you..are you saying I piss you off?
Carmine:You’re my mom. Every daughter gets pissed at their mom.
Ruby:That’s not…inaccurate. Sigh Are we really doing this?
Carmine:Are my eyes silver? *points blade out* Well, Mrs. Hero? Show me why Cinder is too chicken face you head on!
Ruby:Fine, but name a restaurant first. You may think I prefer being huntsman 24/7 but I’d like to have some regular quality time with my daughter after this.
Carmine:Hmmm, how about your home cooking?
Ruby:…*smiles* Deal.

Wolfwood never paid any mind to the dreams. Not anymore.
Blood, growing pains, Livio. It was the same, each and every time. Wolfwood isn't sure why his heart always pounds the same wild way once he wakes, beating against his ribs. Is it even his own heart? Did they change that, too?
It's always a different motel, but most of them have the same layout, the same scene, a balcony. Wolfwood tends to smoke a little extra after nightmares, under the two moons that watch him sort of like eyes. Eyes of God? Wolfwood snorts out a plume of smoke at the idea, and he isn't sure which is more ludicrous: the belief that there is something all-seeing, or the fear that there isn't.
Wolfwood's keen ears pick up the rusty scrape of the screen door opening through the murkiness of his thoughts. He doesn't turn, still observing the strange constellations in the sky.
"You'll catch cold, darlin'." His lips form an 'o' as he blows out a ring of smoke.
"So will you." Wolfwood dips his head a little past his shoulders just at the sound of your voice, just barely loud enough to pierce the darkness -- more like wading through it, as one does when standing in a shallow pond. Reaching for someone just beyond them.
In response, he carelessly waves his pack of cigarettes in the air beside his head for you to see. Half empty, already. 'I can make my own fire, just fine.'
As usual, you pay his silent reply no mind as you wrap your arms around his middle, chest flush to his broad back. He's a little cold, but it isn't the night air that's chilling him. With your cheek on his bare skin like this, you can feel his scars naked against you.
He stiffens, huffs out more smoke. A faint thud reaches your ears once he tosses the used stick and reaches for another.
"Come back to bed, 's cold. And you'll have a sore throat if you keep doin' that." Wolfwood chuckles hoarsely at your mothering, how you seem to know him better than himself.
But, no -- he fears even you won't ever know him, not like the man who saw him grow on his shiny, cold slab of metal does. Not like Livio, with his wide-eyed stare in his dreams, how he knows him.
"I'm not some snot-nosed kid." Wolfwood's nostril flares subtly, rough fingers turning the smoldering cigarette over between them. "Don't need you to treat me like one."
"I'm not." You gently push down the lump in your throat that forms at his edgy tone, you know he doesn't mean it. Soothingly, you run your fingers up and down his sides in slow movements.
Wolfwood tenses. "Just- just go-" he doesn't finish, realizing he's already trying to push you off him. Looking over his shoulder at you, he bites the inside of his cheek hard. "-wait for me inside."
"Nico."
"Don't call me that."
Your own brows knit together and you just blink at him. He seems like a little boy all of a sudden.
"Nicholas," you correct yourself quietly with a slight tilt of your head. Seeing the familiar look in your eyes, he turns away. "...sorry."
"Just come inside. Please."
Wolfwood finds it funny how you, of all people on this fucking planet, are able to order around the Punisher himself like that. How you have him at your heels, a dog who acts submissive to the sheep it guards.
Without another word, he obeys and meekly brushes his calloused fingers over your arm in boyish apology, bangs obscuring his expression as he follows you back inside.
Tucked back safely in the rickety motel bed, he's tangled up in you. Wasn't able to fall back asleep, so he settled for laying his head on your warm chest to listen to your heartbeat (with some coaxing from you). A soft hand stroking back his dusty raven hair. Like he's a boy again. “I'm sorry." He keeps mumbling between lazy pecks to your collarbone, eyes closed as if he's shy to be seen receiving such comfort. He isn't quite sure what he's apologizing for. “I know," you murmur back, speaking into his smoke-fragrant hair. "You're okay.” He huffs out a big sigh, heavy and dog-like.
He was a fool to ever think you didn't know him.

Why me! 2
Word count: 1317
AemondxReader
Tumblr media
Aemond has been watching you from afar since the day he told you he would kill you and your babe so you’ve stayed away from him since then.
“Are you going to talk to him?” Rhaenyra asks you.
“How can I talk to him when he told me he would kill me and our babe if the babe didn’t look like him all because he thinks your son Jacerys is the father so you tell me how could I ever look at him the same.” (Y/N) tells Rhaenyra.
“(Y/N) I know what he said to you but he does love you” Rhaenyra tells you.
“He told me that I let your bastard son touch me and of my babe looks like your bastard son he will kill us both that’s truly what he said to me so don’t fucking tell me that he loves me because he doesn’t love or care about me anymore” (Y/N) tells Rhaenyra and walks away from her and everyone else.
“(Y/N)” A voice calls out the voice of the one man she truly trusts.
“Elmo, is that really you?” (Y/N) asks as she holds him tight in a hug.
“How I’ve missed you so I miss seeing you run around Riverrun with Kermit” Elmo tells you as he lets you go.
Elmo Tully is like a second father to (Y/N) when her father died fighting in the StepStones with Prince Daemon, (Y/N) was thankful to Prince Daemon he had brought her fathers body back and paid mother some coin to help with everything.
“I want to go home Elmo” (Y/N) whispers out as she cries in his arms.
“I wish I could take you back home (Y/N) but I don’t want your mother and brothers to be in any danger” Elmo tells you.
“I do not want my child to know his or her father hates them so please if I die on my birthing bed take my child and never let Aemond near him or her” (Y/N) tells Elmo.
“I will do everything I can for you and your baby (Y/N)” Elmo tells you.
Aemond stood behind the wall of the secret passageway as he listened to your conversation.
“When Aemond told me he would kill me and the babe I thought about jumping from Maegor’s tower so we wouldn’t feel unwanted and unloved.” (Y/N) says as tears fall down her face.
Aemond listens to your cries and feels his heart break as you say you wanted to end your life because of what he said.
“(Y/N) it’s okay you can write to me and your mother any time and if you need me I will come.” Elmo tells you.
“I just want to tell the King that Jacerys is the father of my baby and let me and Aemond go away from each other.” (Y/N) tells Elmo.
“(Y/N) no you can not do that the King will punish you if he feels like you abandoned your vowels to Aemond” Elmo tells you.
“I know I just don’t know what to do.” (Y/N) tells him.
Three days later
“I have decided that my daughter and heir Rhaenyra Targaryen will be crowned Queen in a fortnight the ravens have been sent and all Lords and Lady’s shall be in attendance to celebrate their new Queen” Viserys announces to the masses and to his council members some shocked at the news.
“Your Grace, are you sure you don’t want to name your first son Aegon King?” Otto asks Viserys.
“Otto enough of this my daughter will be Queen and that’s final!” Viserys yells out making sure everyone understands.
5 months later
(Y/N) lay in her birthing bed as Maester Mellos tells the midwives to get some water and cloth as you begin to push.
“Princess get ready to push” Maester Mellos tells you as you let out a scream and push.
“One more push Princess” Maester Mellos tells you as you push one more time and stop when you hear a loud cry.
“A boy Princess” Mellos tells you as he shows you your son and gives him to the midwife to clean him up.
“Princess I need you to push one more time” Maester Mellos tells you as you push once again and hear another cry.
“Another boy Princess” Mellos tells you.
“Twins oh my Layla will you get Queen Rhaenyra.” (Y/N) asks her handmaiden.
“Twin boys Aemond” Alicent tells Aemond.
“Yes mother I’ve heard I’ll visit when I’m done training” Aemond tells Alicent as he leaves her alone standing there.
“Should I call you Queen Rhaenyra now” (Y/N) asks Rhaenyra.
“No you don’t have to call me Queen Rhaenyra (Y/N) your my good sister and oh your boys are beautiful (Y/N)” Rhaenyra tells you.
(Y/N) looks at her sons and sees both have white hair and not a single brown hair in sight (Y/N) lets out a little laugh.
“I don’t want him anywhere near my sons” (Y/N) tells everyone in the room as Alicent walks in.
“My dear girl, how are you feeling?” Alicent asks you.
“I’m fine Alicent where is my husband at?” (Y/N) asks Alicent.
“He went to the training yard for a-“ Alicent starts to tell you.
“Yes of course he did let him know he is not allowed in my room and he will not be allowed to see my sons” (Y/N) tells Alicent.
Three days later
(Y/N) holds little Aragon as Aeneys lays still in his bed but a soft knock wakes him (Y/N) puts Aragon down and picks up Aeneys and opens to see Aemond along with Jacerys.
“What are you doing here Aemond?” (Y/N) asks him angrily as Layla waits for you outside.
“Layla come in and take the boys please?” (Y/N) asks Layla.
“I’ve come here to apologize to you and Jacerys and see my sons.” Aemond tells you.
“No they are my sons not yours!” (Y/N) yells at Aemond and tries to close the door on him.
“(Y/N) stop I’m sorry I’m trying to make everything right and make it up to you.” Aemond tells you.
“No you don’t deserve to meet my sons” (Y/N) tells him.
“(Y/N) I’m going to see them so please move?” Aemond asks you.
“No, they are my sons, remember their bastards to you so leave me and my sons alone Aemond.” (Y/N) tells Aemond.
“(Y/N) let me see them now” Aemond says as he pushes the door open and makes way over to the boys.
“No stay away from my sons” (Y/N) says as she pushes Aemond away from the twins.
“(Y/N) enough!” Aemond yells as he pushes you to the floor.
“You will never put your hands on me again. If you do it will be the last time you have hands. Do you understand me?” (Y/N) tells Aemond as she gets up off the floor.
Aemond looks at you shocked as he holds his left cheek.
“You can see Aragon and Aeneys when I feel like you are ready to be their father” (Y/N) tells Aemond.
“You named them with me?” Aemond asks you.
“Yes I named my sons because their father wasn’t there for them when they were born” (Y/N) tells Aemond.
“(Y/N) I’m sorry that I hurt you and I’m sorry about what I said about you and the boys and Jacerys. I'm sorry for what I said about you and my wife and sons” Aemond says to you and Jacerys.
“I appreciate your apology, Aemond but I have not forgiven you yet.” (Y/N) says to Aemond.
“Thank you for apologizing uncle and I’m sorry about all the pain me and Lucerys caused you.” Jacerys apologizes to Aemond.

Measured ~ Vil Schoenheit
Tumblr media
Word Count: 955
Pairing: Vil Schoenheit x Reader
Summary: Vil indulges in finally being able to love openly.
A/N: This is originally from a longer OC x canon fic that I'm writing. Reader uses she/they pronouns. The fic is suggestive.
Tumblr media
Vil brushed the tears off [Name]’s face gently with his thumb, his violet eyes followed as a stray tear fell to the corner of their lips and he stared. They were so close, so dangerously close, all he had to do was close the space in between them and their lips would connect like he had dreamed off for too long now. He could see that it was what she desired too as her eyes fell upon his lips too. Perhaps the pain she felt was heightened because of the betrayal she was quietly committing.
Except they didn’t kiss, not that night because neither of them could have allowed such selfishness. [Name] was Azul’s lover, not Vil’s after all. Yet the thought of taking what was forbidden clouded Vil’s mind. Sometimes he wished [Name] was more selfish, if they kissed him first then he could return their affection with his guilt lessened. Finally allowing Vil to taste what he had foolishly let go of because of his overconfidence.
It was torture to be quite honest, it had been absolute torture to love [Name] since the moment Vil had fallen for them. Not only because she belonged to someone else but because strong feelings terrified Vil. When he thought about loving [Name], he felt bare, like she was pulling the clothes, then the skin, then the flesh that made him Vil. He thought about them sinking their fangs into him and the pain that came with vulnerability.
Sometimes he hated [Name], because even though he tried he couldn’t bear running away from them. No, Vil trusted them, he trusted them so much, he fell blindly in love, and it was a free-fall. For a moment he had been afraid of hitting the ground but as time passed, he felt like perhaps the ground didn’t exist. At least it didn’t seem like it existed when they finally kissed by the Pomefiore forest, an eventful spring night celebrating the end of his second year at Night Raven College.
“I’m a little broken right now but I will patch myself up and pick this right where we left it, if you are okay with being a little patient.” [Name] had told him after their first kiss.
It had made Vil’s heart lighter even if anxiety had followed as he had watched them struggle to move forward from Azul. Yet he had been patient, he had remained patient for [Name] and at last his hard work had paid off. [Name] was shaken and fragile, that much Vil could see. Sometimes he could see the stitches on her wounds fall apart as the ghost of her ex-lover haunted her. It hurt them both, but Vil always patched them up afterwards.
[Name] was thankful and loved him deeply and Vil could tell she was scared. After all, he couldn’t imagine falling in love again after hitting the ground once, that looked painful. His already fragile trust could not heal like [Name] was healing and certainly not love as hard again. Yet, he watched as they fought their fears for him and he couldn’t help being mesmerised, that, at last, [Name] was his. At last, their heart was in his hands even though he wanted them to keep it in their chest while he kissed the skin.
So naturally that drove Vil a little mad. If Vil’s love had always been measured and kept under control, he had no reason to hold back now. Not when [Name] was his to love. He could tell that she didn’t understand when he bruised her neck with his mouth, she didn’t understand when he held her wrists over her head, and she didn’t understand when he made her cry out his name. Because [Name] only knew Vil when he was deliberate, not when he was messy and out of control, when he was needy and clingy, when he was selfish and greedy.
The pleasure was brutal, he liked when [Name]’s body trembled, he liked when they let him ravish it. Vil wanted to worship them like he was worshipped, he paid attention to every inch of their skin and only grew more ravenous as [Name]’s body welcomed him. He didn’t have to hold back anymore; he would remember as their lovemaking took over his beauty sleep some nights. It was scary to love like this, yet he felt safe. Vil felt safe when it was [Name] that wore his love bites, he felt safe when it was [Name] that dried his tears, he felt safe when it was [Name] that said, “I love you too.”
He was allowed to be messy, brutal, and intense. He was allowed to feel and not think. He was allowed to listen to his heart and not only his mind. He was allowed to be too much. He was allowed to be raw and vulnerable. He was allowed to be madly in love and express it. Vil didn’t need to be measured with [Name], not anymore.
It felt like a breath of fresh air, for him, who was always scrutinised. He wouldn’t have lasted long if he hadn’t grown to be the master of his emotions. Yet away from the million eyes that watched him he was relieved to be able to be brutal with [Name], giving them his most unfiltered version always.
“Sorry I was too rough,” Vil said, kissing her bruised skin gently.
[Name] chuckled.
“You did say you wanted to devour me.”
Vil smiled before finding her lips, kissing them hungrily as if he hadn’t just consumed them to the last drop.
“I get carried away with you,” he whispered, in between kisses.
“There’s no need to hold back with me,” [Name] reminded him, to Vil’s pleasure.

The Comforts of the Night
A/N: So I haven’t written anything serious in like 2 years but my elriel hunger is unfathomably ravenous so I decided to take a crack at it. This little fic focuses more on Azriel and is told from his POV. It’s a what if scenario that I hadn’t really bothered to specify precisely when in the story this would ever take place so 💀 Enjoy, I hope.
Word count: 3.5K
Ship: Elriel
Key: light fluff, angst
Possible triggers: Elements of poor self loathing/esteem, light mentions of blood and suggestive things.
• • •
It had been a long day for Azriel, so unbearably long. Such was commonplace for him, however, as being the Night Court's Spymaster unyieldingly commanded the workload.
His muscles had ached from stress nearly all day, though he effortlessly paid no heed, not until now. A part of him had wondered how, after centuries of the same work, his body hadn't become adapted to it. He couldn't deny that he worked more nowadays than he had ever done, especially with the threat of the incoming war growing ever closer.
Work had been unforgiving for a long while. The requirement of always leaving Velaris to go to war camps, courts, or even the continent had always been something Azriel loathed and wished he never had to do. Yet now, for a time, he had returned home to Velaris. As for how long he would stay, he had no idea. Orders alone had determined that factor and even those were ever changing.
The wind's chill nipped at Azriel's wings as he flew across the clear starry sky, peering down at the warm lights that littered Velaris' buildings and streets. Fewer people were out and about at this hour, and yet the city looked as lively as it did in the day. Perhaps some were going home after a fun night at a local bar, or others were merely enjoying the ever-beautiful scenery on a late-night walk. If only he had the free time to do so as well, he'd thought.
After circling the proximity of Velaris once over, he banked into the direction of the Townhouse. He would sleep there only for the night and leave again come dawn. As of late, Azriel had avoided staying at the Townhouse, at least for longer periods. But to his dismay, sleep softly called out to him, just as his shadows so often would.
From overhead, Azriel could see the Townhouse's gardens as he approached, making note of the newly planted flowers and sprouts that rimmed the tall hedges within.
It had been over a week since he was last in Velaris. Being here now, seeing the progress that had been made, he couldn't help but let his mind wonder about the one who tended to the gardens itself. He wondered about how she was doing, what else she was up to, and if she was doing alright.
His eyes continued to scan the gardens until they locked onto a pale mass of lilac, golden brown, and cream sitting upon one of the stone benches. The Shadowsinger knew exactly who it was. It was as if his thoughts of her had miraculously willed her into existence. The very girl that had constantly plagued his mind, plagued his mind just then.
But why was Elain in the gardens alone in the dead of night? On a chilly one no less? He had known Elain to be one to stay up late on occasion but being alone in the gardens at this hour was new.
Thoughts of what to do flit through his mind, contemplating whether to bank now and go inside before she noticed him or to see her— To talk to her and revel in the moment, to see if she is okay.
Desire wrestled with the fiends in his head, the ones that told him he shouldn’t. That told him he should go inside and sleep. To forget what he saw and stay away. That there was no need for someone like him to speak to someone like her.
Although it seemed that his mental war was all for naught. Quiet as his large wings were on the wind, it seemed as if Elain could still hear him coming from miles away. Like she had already known he was coming.
Her beautiful face turned upward in his direction, brown eyes wide in recognition. It was too late to turn away now. The female remained in her place, daring not to move as Azriel had landed a short distance away on soft feet. He flared his wings once before folding them in and tucking them closed.
They stared at one another before Elain bit her lip and spoke, “You’re back.”
Her voice was quiet and soft, and Azriel took a moment to just… Listen. His shadows had pooled to his feet at the sweet sound. Like they were in need of retreat.
He swiftly ducked his head to nod, “I am.” It wasn’t enough of an answer, not for her. “For now. I’ll be leaving again at dawn.”
“Oh… I see.” Elain’s eyes darted away from him as her hopeful expression faltered. “You must be tired, so I’ll–” Azriel shook his head.
She looked him up and down in worry, searching his eyes for some form of an answer.
“I’m fine.” He angled his head toward the flower sprouts across from them. “They’re coming along nicely.” A smile twitched onto Elain’s lips, and Azriel had known then that she was well aware of the subject change.
“I planted them a few days ago.” Right after he left if he had to guess. “They’re moonflower sprouts. They bloom after dusk until dawn.”
Azriel offered her a gentle smile, recalling that they were indeed one of the flowers that she had spoken about a time before. He could remember as much with little effort.
“Sit with me?” The sudden request made Azriel’s brows twitch in confusion. Elain stammered, “If it’s no trouble, I don’t mind the company.”
Azriel shouldn’t— Shouldn’t— but he couldn’t say no, not to her offer. Not to her. He stepped closer as she scooted down the bench a little, allowing him space to sit and move his wings to get comfortable, or at least as comfortable as anyone could get on a stone bench.
Being so close, the scent— Her scent of honey and jasmine was near enough to leave him intoxicated. His heart thrummed and he only hoped that she couldn’t hear it.
“Why are you outside this late?” The words slipped from Azriel’s lips faster than he could contemplate them.
Elain fumbled with the fabric of her lilac sleeping gown like she was thinking of what to say. “I couldn’t sleep, so I thought I would come out here for a bit to get some fresh air.” A partial lie. He knew that much, and judging by her expression, she knew that he was aware.
Was Elain like him too? Did she have endless voices in her head? Were they the ones responsible for keeping her awake at night like they did him?
Azriel blinked, his hazel eyes sliding down Elain’s form. Just in her gown, no shoes or socks, no coat. Long, wavy, golden-brown locks draped over an exposed shoulder, over her creamy skin— “It’s cool out, you should have grabbed a jacket.”
Elain’s cheeks flushed at the realization as she quickly averted her gaze from him once again, taking interest in the moon-bathed pavement. “I didn’t think it would get this cold…”
The male took a moment to think, to think over his immediate thoughts, and determine what to do. Anything to avoid messing this up. But if she was cold—
“I’ll be alright, please don’t worry.” She had known, caught on too quickly. Elain had read him all too well. She always did, he realized.
Moonlit doe eyes stared back at him once more. Doe eyes… How beautiful they were. And her bright reassuring smile— it was more than enough to make him weak in the knees, bright enough to put even his shadows at bay.
Azriel’s lips parted in an urge before they quickly shut again, quickly willing himself to speak. “At least let me keep you from freezing.” He could provide that much at the very least, if she let him.
Before Elain could speak, the Shadowsinger slowly extended his wing behind her back, though careful not to touch her and not to disturb the blue hydrangeas behind them.
An offer.
She sucked in a breath that sent shivers down his spine and glanced back at the sight. She then slid closer to him, just a few inches. Close enough that their thighs nearly touched. That large wing gently— carefully— ever so slowly curled around her far shoulder, as if he thought that any careless movement could harm her.
His wings alone were not incredibly warm but they did help to retain some semblance of body heat in times of need. At the very least, they could protect from the wind.
“Thank you.” Sweet. Her voice was too sweet. Like a song. Azriel dipped his chin in response, not knowing how to respond properly.
“Your wings,” Elain paused for a moment, focused entirely on the one resting against her back and curled around her side. “Do they get cold too?”
A laugh nearly instantly slipped from Azriel’s lips. A low and quiet chuckle. “Sometimes. The cold’s bite can be relentless.”
Perhaps it was due to his laugh or some other thing, but Elain’s shoulders loosened in ease. A smile bloomed back onto her face as she peered up at him. “It was a silly question, I apologize. I’m just curious.”
“Curiosity is harmless. Never apologize for it.” The male smiled back at Elain. “If you have questions, you may ask freely.”
“Even if my questions are frivolous?” Elain joked with a small giggle, raising a curled finger to her lips.
Azriel’s warm gaze softened at the lovely sound— her laugh. “Even if your questions are frivolous.” A silly reassurance, but a reassurance nonetheless.
Elain hummed as she stared up at Azriel, that smile never faltering. The shadowsinger was the first to break eye contact, fearing that if he looked at her too long, he might do something foolish. That he might fall victim to his desires more than he already had this night. He looked up at the stars instead, for any manner of distraction. It was nearing an hour past midnight, judging by the moon’s positioning.
“If I may be so selfish to ask,” Elain’s voice called his eyes back down to her. “Could we stay here for a while longer?” Her tone was laced with meek hope. Azriel tilted his head in inclination, wondering why.
Elain clenched her fists and her lips trembled. She was searching for an excuse, anything not to seem impolite or desperate, it seemed. Before she could speak, Azriel had beat her to it.
“Yes,” He took a breath, “Of course we can.” Elain’s hands unclenched after hearing his confirmation, seemingly relieved by it.
They sat together in a comfortable silence for a while, merely enjoying each other’s company and the scenery that surrounded them. The silence was nothing new between them and it had never been awkward before but tonight, oh this night felt… Different. Here they sat, where only the stars might witness them, while all of Velaris slept.
Sleep. The shadows whispered into his ears. The girl wants to sleep.
Azriel turned his head to peer down at Elain, right in time to witness her dozing figure lean against his arm. He assumed it was hardly comfortable, given that he was wearing his Illyrian leathers, but…
He stared, stared at her. At the way the loose strands of her hair framed her face. At her long lashes and perfect nose. Her soft lips. Her lips—
Sleep. His shadows continued to beckon. Sleep.
Azriel knocked himself out of his trance, a small frown forming on his face.
He didn’t want to disturb her rest but it was getting cooler by the minute and this was no place to sleep safely.
“Elain…” His voice was barely louder than the soft breeze. But her name— Her name rolling off his lips—
Elain merely gave him a barely audible broken hum. She was falling into a deeper sleep by the second.
“We should get you inside.” He received no response and hadn’t expected one.
Azriel sat there for a moment to consider what he should do. He then loosed a quiet sigh and moved to pick Elain up. Carefully, ever so carefully did he crane one arm underneath her legs and the other to support her back. The sudden absence of his wing had caused her to cling to him, to any semblance of warmth she could find against the frigid air.
Her head rested against the black scales of his leathers as the male started for the doors that led back inside from the gardens. Silently, the doors opened for Azriel, by the work of his shadows no less. He passed the threshold and the doors closed, then he began his ascent upon the foyer steps.
The trip to Elain’s room was short and uneventful, thank the Cauldron. If anyone had seen— There would be no excuses to be made, no believable farce to cover how they had looked in the moment. And more importantly, to disturb Elain’s peaceful rest, Azriel wouldn’t be able to forgive himself for it.
His shadows had willed her bedroom door open, and Azriel nudged it further with his foot before heading inside. Hazel eyes scanned the view before them, taking in all the details of the room.
Perhaps it was due to his habit as a Spymaster to do so, to analyze every little thing in sight. Not that Azriel hadn’t long since memorized the entire layout of the townhouse, including the placements of any weapons within, but this room— this room was uncharted territory. He’d kept true about Elain’s right to privacy after all.
Elain’s room was clean and tidy, and had smelled so strongly of her— The old vanity desk in the far left corner was littered with stacks of books, he’d guessed, that covered the arts of gardening and botany. Several seed pouches lay scattered about, each labeled with names of different flora.
On the opposite side of the room was the massive canopy bed, centered against the wall. The bed itself was big enough to accommodate Illyrian wings. Such a thing had been the standard for every bedroom in the townhouse, but Azriel could only imagine how much better the extra space was for those without wings.
The rich wood end tables that flanked the bedsides had been adorned with smaller potted plants. Each were with little budding flowers in hues of pinks and blues, although they were closed for the night.
The ivory covers of the bed itself were a mess, and Azriel had guessed that she indeed must have tried to sleep before getting up— just as she had said before.
Azriel moved through the room and gently laid Elain down in her bed, pulling off the strands of hair that had snagged onto his leathers. Elain had hardly stirred during any of it, to his favor.
Scarred hands pulled the soft covers up to Elain’s shoulders and all the male could do was halt. He couldn’t help but stare. She had looked so… So peaceful. Beautiful. Even bathed in the silver moonlight that the bay windows had offered, she still glowed like the light of the sun at dawn.
He wondered, how could anyone not fall to their knees before her? How could they even think to hurt someone such as her? Someone so warm and sweet— Endlessly giving and full of light— So gentle and yet so strong—
The Shadowsinger thoughtlessly leaned down to take in her features, bracing his hand on the bedside to keep himself balanced. Elain remained ever so still, breathing slow and soft.
Oh, how he yearned to be able to hold her in his gentle embrace. Yearned to make her smile and laugh. Yearned to lay with her in warmth and comfort. Yearned to place his hand on her cheek and lift her chin the way he wanted, to lean down and press his lips against hers—
Azriel’s other hand had lifted, he’d realized, frozen merely centimeters from touching Elain’s soft cheek. His hand— Hideous splotched scars had consumed his vision, and plagued his mind like the terrible fiends did. Calloused and burned hideousness covered in the blood of many. A hand that did nothing but kill, maim, and hurt. One undeserving of anything such as this.
His hand quickly jerked away from Elain’s cheek and formed a fist back at his side, as if his own ugliness would singe her perfect face, her beauty. As if his ugliness would cast a shadow over her light and snuff it out for good.
Azriel stumbled back three steps, releasing a series of shaky breaths. His heart rushed and ached more than anything he had ever felt. Sickness fell to the pit of his stomach.
Leave. He needed to leave.
His wings tucked closer to his body as he turned, quickly and quietly making way for the door.
Stay. His heart pleaded. Please stay.
No.
No— He couldn’t— He shouldn’t—
Shouldn’t— shouldn’t— shouldn’t—
He didn’t deserve her. Didn’t deserve this.
No one could ever hope to deserve someone as perfect as Elain. Not even himself. No matter how much he felt for her. No matter how much his heart had stirred as heavily as the crash of raging tides. No matter how much his heart yearned for her love, her light, for anything at all.
Elain was not his to love. She was a mated female after all. One who was forcibly shackled to that wretched mating bond like a beast locked in a cage. But even then, oh then, she was not his. Never his.
Azriel silently closed the bedroom door and hastened down the hall, desperately needing some form of space. Of air. Anything to calm his raging and hurting heart.
He quickly reached his room on the opposite side of the house and retreated inside without a thought. Azriel couldn’t even bear to look at his hands, the horrid sight they were. How could he? How could he when he had been so close to tainting her flesh?
Fool.
A fucking fool.
He shouldn’t have been so stupid as to linger. To let himself go astray and even attempt to touch Elain. Especially when she was sleeping, when she was at her most vulnerable— Wrong, it was all so wrong. He should have just left her to sleep in peace the moment he tucked her in.
The Shadowsinger sauntered over to his wardrobe and slowly stripped the leathers from his body, unbuckling the countless amounts of leather belts and undoing all of the strings and buttons. One by one, each article was removed and tossed onto an empty table nearby.
This room seemed empty compared to Elain’s. Lifeless. Most of his things had been moved to the House of Wind, they had been for a while now. So this room was no more than a ghost of what it once was, but even so, it served its purpose well enough.
Leaving none but two siphoned gloves on his hands to rest, Azriel grabbed a set of night pants and slipped them on. He then walked over to his bed and laid atop the fixed covers, facing toward his window to view the sky. Near instantly did the pains of the day’s stressors set back in. He’d forgotten all about them when he was with Elain, he realized. That, and his exhaustion too.
Time always flew when he was by her side. All of his pains and worries seemed to go away in her presence. Everything felt so right when he was with her. But it was wrong. Still, it was wrong. So then why? Why was Elain forced with another? Why, when she felt so right with him instead?
Why were his beloved brothers, Cassian and Rhysand, blessed by the Mother? The Cauldron? With something so lovely, so sacred as love itself? As a bond— Something so few could ever hope to have, that many dreamt about, but Azriel was left alone?
Was he truly so horrible, so unlovable and undeserving that not even the gods could give him that blessing? Did Fate itself really hate him as much?
Azriel couldn’t understand, even when he tried so hard to steel his mind to the pain and misunderstanding. When he tried so hard to make himself think that maybe it’s just not meant to be, and that it was okay.
Happy as he was for his brothers, he couldn’t help it. Couldn’t prevent the pain and envy that so viciously ripped and tore and clawed at his heart like some ravaged beast. Like an unforgiving fiend.
Perhaps he had no right to love and be loved in return.
Perhaps he had no right to experience something as sacred as a mating bond. Not with anyone.
Perhaps Elain had never even begun to see him in the light that he saw her.
Azriel’s eyelids grew heavy and he could no longer fight the ever growing fatigue. His view of the moon outside had begun to fade to black.
Elain…
Her smile alone was the last thought that his clouded mind could muster before the darkness took him, just as it always had, body and soul. Just as he knew it always would.

“Can I get both vanilla and chocolate?” Robyn was practically bouncing on his heels, barely holding himself still enough to stay in the queue with Hob.
“Of course, duck,” Hob smiled at the sight of his son still bursting at the seams with energy even after running around the park for almost an hour already.
Hob had packed the usual snacks for Robyn, but today an ice cream truck stopped by and his son practically dragged him over.
It was finally their turn to place their order, and Hob ordered a scoop of vanilla and a scoop of chocolate in the biggest cone size available.
As he got his wallet from his pocket, something blunt hit the back of his head.
“Ow!” Hob instinctively put a hand up to where the pain was beginning to sting and turned around to see what happened.
A man wearing a black shirt with the sleeves pulled up to his elbows was jogging towards them. “I’m terribly sorry,” he said in a voice deeper than Hob would have expected and picked up a blue plastic Frisbee from the ground. “My son and I had been playing. Please, let me pay for the ice cream,” he took his wallet out.
“What? No, that’s not necessary,” Hob quickly paid for it himself and handed the cone to Robyn.
“Are you okay, dad?” Robyn asked in concern as he took it.
“Yeah, no harm done,” Hob smiled at his son before turning to the man. “Really, it’s alright.”
Their small group moved to the side when other people queued up at the truck, then a boy with fair skin and raven hair ran up to the man and partially hid behind him, peeking up at Hob.
“I’m sorry, Mister,” he mumbled.
“This is my son,” the man put a comforting hand on the boy’s shoulder. “It’s our first time playing Frisbee and I’m afraid we require much practice.”
“I didn’t mean to throw it so far,” the boy looked down at his shoes.
“Hey, it’s okay,” Hob said reassuringly. “My son hit me with a baseball once while we were playing. That’s just part of it.”
“Ooh! Can we play Frisbee with them, dad?” Robyn asked through a mouthful of chocolate ice cream. “We’ve never played that before.”
Hob looked at the man questioningly. Robyn had played with other kids at the park before, but none of them looked as shy as the boy did.
The man looked down at his son. “What do you say, dove? Would you like to play with them?”
The boy nodded with a small smile. “Yes. I would.”
“Yay!” Robyn cheered, raising his arms in the air.
“Hey, careful not to spill your ice cream,” Hob chided fondly.
“I’m Morpheus,” the man held out his hand. “This is my son Orpheus. And yes, I am aware of our awfully similar names,” he smiled.
Hob shook the man’s hand and returned the smile. “That just means it’ll be easier for me to remember. I’m Hob, and this is Robyn.”
“Robyn with a Y!” Robyn declared, already halfway through his ice cream cone. “I know a spot where we can have lots of room to play. Come on, before the other kids arrive!” He ran off towards a clearing in the park.
Orpheus looked up at his father questioningly, who smiled and nodded. Then the boy took off after Robyn.
“You’ve really never played Frisbee before with your son?” Morpheus asked as they followed their kids at a more leisurely place while keeping them in sight.
Hob shook his head. “Nope. We played catch and baseball, but we haven’t tried Frisbee yet. What games do you and Orpheus usually play?”
Morpheus fell silent for a moment, his long eyelashes catching the light of the sun as he blinked. “I have not had much opportunity to spend time with him. Until recently. All games are still new to us.”
Hob could sense that there was a story there, but he had no business prying so he just offered an encouraging smile. “Great, there’s a lot to discover. Let’s start with Frisbee.”
So they did; Hob and Robyn against Morpheus and Orpheus.
It seemed that Orpheus had already learned a great deal from his mistake earlier, as he was much better at it now and the disc rarely got too far away whenever it was his turn to throw.
Robyn was the better catcher. He had more than enough energy to dive and jump just to catch the disc, though he often got too excited whenever it was his turn to throw and his aim went wide.
Hob and Morpheus weren’t much good at either throwing or catching, but their children didn't mind and in fact even evidently enjoyed seeing their dads fumble.
Hob shared the biscuits and fruit juices that he packed, which kept up morale and started a conversation between Robyn and Orpheus about their favourite snacks.
Afterwards, Hob and Morpheus sat on a bench to catch their breaths while their children played with the others at the playground.
“I cannot remember the last time I ran around so much,” Morpheus said before taking a sip from a water bottle. “Children truly have an indefinite repository of energy.”
Hob chuckled, wiping sweat from his forehead with a hand towel that he always brought whenever going to the park. “You don’t need to tell me. I’m glad that those two are getting along well, though.”
Morpheus nodded. “Indeed. It is good to see Orpheus so cheerful.” A soft smile appeared on his face as he watched his son laugh brightly while on the seesaw with Robyn.
“He would remember this, you know,” Hob told him. “You brought him to this park. He would ask you again, and you’d have more time to spend together.”
“I certainly hope so. After the divorce, I got so caught up in my work that he often stayed with his mother. It’s only recently that I…” Morpheus trailed off, fidgeting with the bottle cap. “I apologise. I do not intend to spring this all upon you.”
“Nothing to apologise for,” Hob reassured him. “I’m divorced with Robyn’s mom too, and at first it was challenging to figure it all out. But you’ll get there.”
Morpheus looked at him, then at his backpack of provisions. “You seem to be rather well-adjusted now.”
Hob chuckled. “It just takes practice, my friend.”
Morpheus tilted his head slightly to the side. “We are… friends?”
“Um…” Hob blinked. “Yeah, if you want to?”
“Dad!” Robyn came running towards them, towing Orpheus in hand. “Can I invite Orpheus to my birthday next week? I wanna show him my comics!”
Morpheus turned to Hob in surprise, looking just as uncertain as Hob felt when Robyn asked if they could all play Frisbee.
“Of course you can, duck,” Hob smiled at his son and Morpheus. “Orpheus can bring anything he wants to show you, too.”
“Father!” Orpheus’ face brightened as he seemed to realise something. “I wish to have Robyn listen to our song! He said they have a piano!”
“Oh I can’t play it,” Hob quickly said, smiling sheepishly. “It’s my mum’s. We have it in our house because she was a pianist, and she still likes to play whenever she visits.”
Morpheus’ expression was fond. “I play the piano as well. If you would allow it, I can play Orpheus’ song so he may have Robyn listen to it.”
“Sure, no problem!” Hob said perhaps a little too enthusiastically. He loved music, and shared Robyn’s excitement with making new friends. “Um, should we exchange numbers, then? I’ll text you the address.”
“Of course,” Morpheus smiled as he took out his phone. “It’s what friends do, is it not?”

First Job
All of your friends have jobs and their own money to buy whatever they want. Not to sound like a gold digger or anything but you’d just typically use your boyfriend’s money if you wanted something. But with the holidays coming up you were in a sudden realization that you needed to make money.
Kirishima x Fem! Reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Eijirou Kirishima is the type of man to spoil you rotten while expecting nothing in return. He loves the way your face lights up when he buys you something you’ve been asking for. Or when you get all excited when he surprises you with something that he picked up for you while he was out.
It was your 3rd year at UA and you were actually the only one in class 3-A who has never had a job. Sure, you’ve been on work study’s and internships before but you had never had a paying regular job like a normal teenager.
As you sat in your room playing whatever video game you wanted you shivered as you looked out your window at the falling snow. Sure, the dorms had heat but you couldn’t imagine how cold it is outside.
Your boyfriend was at work this afternoon and so was the rest of the Bakusquad. That’s when your thoughts began to run wild. Was it weird that you were basically an adult with no paying job experience? Was it weird that your boyfriend always paid for you when the squad went out?
It’s not that you wouldn’t go get a job but you just had the gut feeling that you wouldn’t be good at any job that wasn’t hero work. Unfortunately you couldn’t get paid for that just yet.
As the holidays were approaching you knew you had to get money one way or another. You wanted to be able to spoil your boyfriend with gifts and the only way to earn that money was to get a job.
And so here you stood outside of a coffee shop in a professional yet warm outfit to beat the cold. You’ve been here so many times and watched the baristas as they made drinks. It honestly looked quite fun. This was a job that you were sure could be done.
After you had went in asking for a job application they nearly hired you on the spot due to the rush of the holiday season they could really use an extra set of hands. You still needed to be interviewed of course but you were sure you were getting the job from how eager they sounded to hire you.
———————————
After your interview the next day, they had basically told you straight up that you were hired and to come in tomorrow at 5pm to start training. You were ecstatic that you were finally going to be able to make your own money.
You hadn’t told Kirishima yet because you wanted to surprise him by telling him that you took initiative and got your own job. You knew he would be so proud of you!
———————————
By the next afternoon you found yourself being trained for your first job. The girl training you was named Miko and she was the absolute sweetest person you had ever met. It was just you and her on this shift
After about an hour or two of being trained to work the drive through and make simple coffees and teas you started to become quite familiar with what to do.
“Oh here’s a drive through customer” the raven haired woman spoke “Do you think you can try this on your own while I go restock the back? We just got a shipment about 5 minutes ago” she stated
“Oh yeah it seems easy” you reassured her with a big and eager smile as you adjusted your apron “Okay you’ve got this!” She gives you a thumbs up while heading to the back
“Hi what can I get for you today?” You speak as kindly as possible you turn your microphone on “Medium cold brew with some sugar and cream” the woman spoke demandingly. You were a bit confused and unsure admittedly “I’m sorry, how much sugar and cream do you want?” you ask as you begin to input the order “I said some” she sounds a bit irritated and you just didn’t know what to think of it.
“Oh alright then, your total is $4.25 you can pull forward” you do your absolute best to try and sound calm and sweet as this is your first day.
While you get the ticket printed you get to work on the coffee. You put the appropriate amount of cold brew and ice then just proceed to add about 4 creams and sugars since you weren’t sure what exactly to do with the information you were provided with.
As you put the lid on the coffee you set it on the counter and make your way to the window. “Hi $4.25 is your total” you smile as she just hands you her card without even bothering to look up from her phone
You swipe the card and give it back before handing her the coffee. Just as you’re about to ask her if she would like a straw or napkins she takes a sip and nearly spits it out all over her car.
“What the hell is this?!” She looks completely disgusted with you “I’m sorry ma’am what’s wrong with it?” You prepare to take it back and fix it when she chucks the full cup through the window, spilling the sticky coffee all over you
“Hey!” You frown, about to tell her off before she speeds off leaving you soaked with coffee and a mess to clean up.
“Is everything alri-“ Miko stops dead in her tracks when she sees the sight before her. You looked so upset that you could cry “I guess I made it bad” you shrug it off as you grab a wet rag to start cleaning up the mess
“Oh uhm..” the girl didn’t know what to say in the situation “Here why don’t you go home for the evening, your shift ends in 15 minutes anyway. I’ll explain what happened to management” she gives you clean rags to attempt to wipe yourself off.
“Are you sure?” You questioned and she nods “Don’t worry about the mess, I can clean it. Just go wash up I’m so sorry this happened” she looks extremely apologetic and you nod “No worries” you do your best to smile as you walk out of the coffee shop
You didn’t want to put on your expensive and clean coat and ruin it so you just opted to freeze for the 5 minute walk back to the dorms.
———————————
When you arrived back to the dorms you wanted to rush to the shower. You just needed a good cry if you were being honest, you were so angry with the situation. But of course you had to walk through the common room.
And of course, your friends and boyfriend were sitting right on the couch watching tv. “Babe! I was wondering where you were! I texted but I think your phone may have died” he stands up to come greet you.
He immediately noticed your outfit and the stains all over it and yourself. “What happened?” He gently put a hand on your shoulder
“I uhm..” you hung your head replaying the humiliating events of your first day at your first ever job. Before you knew it, the Bakusquad was around you asking what happened to you.
“I got a job so I could buy you guys gifts for the holidays but I guess I’m not too good at making coffees… someone threw their drink at me and drove off” you shrug not making eye contact with any of them.
“Oh my gosh (Name)! Come on let’s go get you cleaned up” Mina took you to the elevator.
———————————
“ ‘m sorry about the trouble” you tell your pink best friend as she applied a deep conditioning hair mask to get the coffee out of your hair
“Don’t be!” She exclaims “I’m sorry this happened” Mina tells you as she washes her hands off “Yeah I guess I’m not good at anything” your eyes fill with tears
“What are you talking about you’re so talented!” She looks at you with wide eyes “No I mean like… you guys have jobs and you’re all actually good at them!”
“Well… nobody’s perfect their jobs, except Bakugo supposedly” she rolls her eyes”But on my first day I accidentally gave 50% off a total instead of 15%… the difference is actually crazy and I didn’t even realize until after they left!” She exclaims
“Wow that’s pretty bad” you giggle “But I don’t know, the lady was so mad at me. She said some cream and sugar so I just put four” you shrug “I didn’t know what some meant and when I asked her to clarify she got really upset”
“Jeez what a bitch” she scoffs “Looks like the hair mask it ready to be rinsed” she tells you “I’ll go get some pajamas for you while you take a shower you can use any of my products” she blows you a kiss before closing the bathroom door
———————————
When you had dried off and got some clean clothes on you checked your phone and there was a message from Mina telling you to come downstairs. You shrug and make your way out of Mina’s room and down the hallway to the elevator.
You entered the elevator and pressed the button for the first floor. As it slowly made its way down to the common area you rubbed your eyes and yawned, working was not for the weak and this day had just stressed you out mentally.
The elevator comes to a stop letting you out on the first floor and Denki is the one to greet you. “Hey come sit at the table!” He motions for you to come along to sit with the rest of the squad.
“What’s up?” You question the three teens sitting at the dining table. “We convinced Bakugo to make you something to eat” Sero grins and you look over your shoulder to see the ash blonde firing up the stove to cook his famous curry.
“Oh you don’t have to cook for me Bakugo” you tell him as you turn around in your chair. “Okay then” he turns the stove off and with ease Mina responds by throwing a half used paper towel roll at his head “No! You’re going to make her something to eat!” She scolds the crimson eyed teen as he scoffs and turns the stove back on, mumbling something about how he ‘was going to fucking do it anyways’
“Thank you guys for doing this” you rest your head on the palm of your hands “Having a job is hard… I guess I’m just not good in the food industry” you shrug
“Neither am I!” Denki blurts out “My first job was at McDonalds and I got fired in a week because I got caught eating the extra fries!” He tells the group and you all laugh.
“Where’s Kiri?” You question as you remind them of his absence. You had noticed it immediately that your boyfriend wasn’t at the table when you walked over but you thought that he was just in the bathroom or something.
“Oh he should be here soon” Mina checks her phone to see if there had been an update from him but there was nothing.
Just then, your boyfriend walks through the door with a basket. “Hey sorry I tried to be quick!” He huffs, seemingly out of breath. “Hi honey” you smile and he sets the basket on the table “Here, I know you had a bad time at work so I thought this would make you feel better”
The basket was filled with various items such as a cd by your favorite artist, your favorite snacks and drinks, a new body wash, some face masks, and other skin care products. “Woah babe!” Your eyes widen as you look at the basket and then up at his grin. “I love you” he kisses your cheek following the three of your friends ‘awwwwws’
