Gettlemear, a rare Pixolotl, was preparing to do a livestream. They were a famous gamer across the monster world, especially known for making 27 consecutive monsters ragequit this game called Maw-riokart, and winning the award for making most consecutive monsters ragequit a game in history.

They logged on Maw-riokart and started streaming.

“AY what’s up gang it’s Gettlemear and welcome back to the channel.”

They checked the live chat. Hundreds of monsters were conversing. Someone sent $15. Some other monster named I Am Kengle BB kept spamming the chat, begging for hate comments.

“Now as you prolly saw on the community tab, I had you all vote on a poll for what game I had to livestream: SlimeJammer, Hawlo Knight, or Maw-riokart Online, and ya’ll chose the latter so let’s get right to it! Oh, and uh, don’t forget to subscribe to my channel. I promised that if we—my channel, I mean, reached 2M subscribers I would eat a jar of mustard.” They made a comedically sour face at that statement.

The audience cheered on, and suggested other condiments they would have to mix in with the mustard.

Gettlemear got onto the game. For their character, they chose a rare Entbrat princess named Entinia Sweetstreamz. The monster was garishly hot pink and had on a rainbow colored leotard and a tiara. Their car of choice was a black convertible covered with stars and a Theremind with a rainbow laser guitar. The tires were essentially red bouncy balls. The parachute was a purple hang glider with green stitches.

It looked like hot garbage. “Yeah, this thing looks absolutely horrific,” Gettlemear said. “But its stats are the highest in the game. The developers may have been on to something.”

The game started. They were on an online game, so they were playing against others. The first round was set in a map inspired by Party Island and was called Part Pardy Part Pandemonium. Gettlemear automatically sped past other players, running over multiple monster NPCs in the process. Part of the track split into two parts: a path going through the Living Ocean, and a path above it that required activating the parachute to drive on. Gettlemear activated their parachute to get onto the higher path. It turns out, however, that that path actually takes more time to cross than the one in the ocean. An emo looking Rooba in a red buggy sped past them.

“Hey, aren’t you Gettlemear?” they asked.

“Yeah,” they replied. “How’d you even know?”

“I recognize your voice from your videos. They’re pretty dumb.” The emo rooba said. “You’re live, right?”

“Uh huh.” Gettlemear was kind of displeased by their remark, but tried to stay mature about it.

“Well, this must be humiliating,” they told them as they threw a blue shell their way. They had been saving it since they got it when they were in 5th place.

Gettlemear’s car exploded. The emo rooba laughed at them and described their content as various swear words Gettlemear didn’t even know yet.

Gettlemear pressed on their RGB keyboard more aggressively. They sunk into their RGB chair and hyperfocused on the screen so hard they could hardly see their RGB room in their peripheral. The live chat was furious at that emo rooba. Someone sent $20 for Gettlemear to dox that loser. I Am Kengle BB still begged for hate comments.

“Guys, I’m not gonna dox them, stop telling me that.” Gettlemear was sitting on their RGB knees now on their RGB gaming chair. “I’ve got a groovy idea.”

For the duration of the next two rounds, they were sure to stay in 2nd place all the time and save the power ups they got. Then, as the player in 1st place was about to reach the finish line, they would use their most powerful tool on them, slowing them down and allowing them to finish 1st instead.

They did this to that emo Rooba on third round, which was set in the human world in Boring Suburbia. They had three sticks of TNT, and they threw them all at the same time. A house exploded. A tired middle aged man who was paying his taxes on the front lawn exploded. That emo Rooba exploded. Gettlemear won at 1st place.

The emo Rooba was mildly disappointed. “GETTLEMEAR YOU NASTY FLOPGAWD. YOUR CONTENT SUCKS MORE THAN A WET SCUPS. YOU ARE A DISAPPOINTMENT TO THE WUBLINS, A YAPPING CLAWDYOPPER WITH LESS LIFE THAN A SLAMDOODLING CLAVAVERA.” They continued to screech offensive insults. They sounded like a mouse whose parachute won’t open. “J-JUST, GO TOUCH SOME GRASS!”

Gettlemear yelled back. “I can’t! You ate all of it!” They were referring to their Rooba character. “Were you big-backing at a haunted tea party, anyway?”

“SHUT UP. YOUR CHARACTER AND VEHICLE IS DISGUSTING.”

“But I won.”

“ABDVJSJJALHBSAGGAFGA”

“HeHAhOOHAahaHO-“

“Gettlemear!” A voice called from outside their RGB room. “Are you bullying gothic subcultures on the internet, again?”

“Uh-, no.”

Whajje walked into the RGB room. “What’s all the fuss about, then?”

“This cyberbully on a game.” They told them. “They were being a huge jerk. I’m not hating on them for being emo, they just so happen to be.”

“Well then, keep the noise down, alright?” Whajje looked at the screen. The chat was ecstatic over how Whajje, international idol, was in the livestream. Some monsters called them hot. Someone sent $50. I Am Kengle BB continued to beg for hate comments. “Hey,” they gestured to the screen. “You got a million subs! Congratulations!”

Whajje walked out of the RGB room, shutting the RGB door on the way out.

Gettlemear looked excited. They were practically vibrating, like a monsterling hopped up on sugar. “LETS GOOOOOOOO! Thank you guys so much for this. This has been a journey. Every morning when I wake up, my very first thought is you guys,” they lied. “ You, and your contribution to my life. You make me want to produce quality content that’s entertaining. You make juggling the responsibilities of being an idol and a gaming YouTuber worth it.” They lied once more. “You are the encouragement that pushes me forward when things get rough, when-“ they noticed the chat.

Everyone was begging them to eat the jar of mustard. “…Oh,” he sighed. “Fiiiiiiinne.” They begrudgedly grabbed a jar of mustard from the RGB mini fridge next to their RGB monitor. The rest of the livestream consisted of Gettlemear eating the jar of mustard.

Meanwhile, a 14-year old Maw was kicked from the local library for disruptive screeching, offensive language, and inappropriate use of the computers.

So what's this project?

This project, known currently as My Singing Monsters Adventure(working title, heavily subject to change), is going to be a multi-chapter fanfiction that tells an original story in an alternate universe. There will be various art pieces that go with some of the chapters drawn by yours truly!

The plot is actually 3 different ongoing plots that can be read as individual and heavily intertwined. Each center around vastly different things within the monster world. I'll leave what they're about to when you get to read them though.

Who's running this blog?

Well, I'm known as @duckduckhjonk but I go by many names. Although I am making a sona to use for this!

How do I know you won't abandon this project?

because I've been working on this ongoing series for years! I've had the plots and characters in development for literal years, so while there may be breaks, I doubt this project will ever be truly abandoned.

Will the inbox be open?

of course! Feel free to ask questions about the project or even about me! I will do my best to answer them as best as possible.

I FINALLY GOT CARRILONG I WAS GONNA THROW A TANTRUM IF I DIDNT SO WOOO. It's never leaving this island. Its part in my fave song is too important to me.

Basically completed the plant island song!

Got rare yool early on and made a cute dance part of cold island. The footprints are from monsters dancing :)

The humbug dads moved over some but hey now theres a sick hot tub and Hyehehe got his own stage
