jesus my mom has recently just gotten really maskoff about her racism. all she seems to talk about is how great trump is and how poor isreal is being attacked. (She frames it as "I can't believe some people still hate jews to this day!"). just today she talked about how "that whole area" is just *predisposed* to being in conflict, "the generational trauma produces certain proteins when theyre born, its in their genes. its like when black people got freed from slavery" (<- actual thing she just said to me) like fuck!! god it makes me so mad... like im just trying to do chores in the kitchen. Sonic frontiers spoilers under cut

Okay. I've just recently realized this. probably bc of the excitement of. the Babylonians being AT LEAST mentioned in a recent game

But. I do not. like how the babylonians are dismissed of having created the tech belonging to the ancients.

In an egg memo, Eggman describes how amazingly advanced the ancients' tech is. and quickly goes over some civilizations that we know of and could've built them, and also dismisses them. those being the ancients echidnas, and. the Babylonians.

THE babylonians. Ancient alien civilization that got stranded in Sonic's planet. Same civilization who invented floating carpets, which evolved later on into extreme gears. mini black holes and. AN actual black hole that could be formed from those mini black holes. Plus babylon garden, which was the ship that got them from... wherever they are from to Sonic's planet.

We don't know about other of their inventions but what we have so far is already impressive. the similarities of how the ancients and the babylonians ended up here are also very similar. considering them to be the same wouldn't be that far fetched.

this could be also, just Eggman analizing more in depth the differences of their technology? but this fits with. how the babylons rogues have been treated recently... mostly as just a joke... yes the og riders games have a lot of comedy in them! But they also know how to treat themselves seriously. I just hope it is a simple mistake from part of the writers, or a detail that they didn't see as important. it was just a reference after all :(

gwen plopped herself down on the edge of the bed next to you, her expression full of dismay and aggravation. you looked over at her with a semi-fretful gaze. "what happened, gwinny?" you asked her as she sighed and looked into your eyes. "it's my dad, again..." she muttered as she covered her face with her hands, falling back down on your bed as your eyes followed her. you lay down on your side next to her and gently asked her in a whisper if she wants to talk about it. gwen breathed in deeply removed her hands from her face and looked at you from the corner of her eye.

"oh, where to even begin?" she asked aloud to nobody in particular, smiling ever so slightly in an ironic manner as she looked up at your ceiling. she didn't speak for a few moments, until she finally found the strength to open up, even by a tiny bit. she opened up about how her father has been putting a curfew on her, after hearing her sneak back into her room after her nightly patrols. she got mad at him for enforcing that curfew, and he got mad at her for not realizing how all he wants is for her to be safe. "he just wants to feel at ease, like he's not... like he's not failing as a dad." she grumbled out as her eyebrows scrunched up a little as her gaze towards your ceiling morphed into a glare.

"i get how he wants me to be safe, bravo for you dad, but... at least i come home. you leave all the time, what difference does it make if i'm not there at home? what difference does it make when we're both on patrol, we're both concerned about the city and each other, i have your back, it's just... you don't know i'm the one doing the saving, which is good for you." gwen ranted as her voice became softer, as if her inner turmoil had simmered down and hearing her speak her thoughts out was less gratifying than she thought it'd be. gwen breathed in deeply as you moved closer to her, not tearing your eyes away from her one bit.

"i know how you feel, kinda. i sometimes feel like my parents never want me to have any fun, but at the end of the day... they do it for a reason. might not always seem like good reasons, but trust me when i say that among all those reasons," you placed a hand on her shoulder, which caused her to look at you with eyes shimmering with twinkles of shame in them, slight shame that she spoke about her father that way, but they were still gleaming with confusion and frustration, "his love for you as your dad is the biggest reason of all." you finished with a smile as gwen's expression went from agitated to remorseful.

gwen leaned over towards you and pressed her forehead against yours. she gently took your hand in hers and interlocked your fingers together. "thank you... well, i have a lot of explaining to do the minute i get home, then. can't really tell him i've been spider woman for the night again, but i can't really tell him any other made up reason. i just... i want him to stop worrying sometimes." she confessed as you squeezed her hand. you chuckled as you brushed away her hair from her forehead. "he's a dad, he's supposed to worry." you reminded her as you kissed her forehead. "and it's okay." you said as gwen wrapped her arm around your waist and hugged you.

"i guess... sorry i had to dump this all on you when you're supposed to be sleeping." "gwen, never be sorry for letting off some steam. you work so hard to save people you don't even know... and yet you're hesitant about saving yourself. let me save you, at least once for all the times you've saved me." you said as you hugged gwen back. gwen couldn't murmur a 'thank you' anymore as she felt like that wouldn't be enough to do you justice. she held on to you tighter, wishing this moment could last longer. she swore to herself, though, that by tomorrow morning, she'd say sorry to her dad. she'd say sorry and express how she doesn't want to worry him, how she wants nothing more than for him to be at ease, to trust her. and she hopes that one day, she'll be okay with him, they'll be okay with each other; and she has you to thank for helping her realize this.

HIII PERI HI. swallows all the numbers flawlessly mid air 1.favorite type ok can i be weird for a second. i LOVE using normal types in playthroughs and they usually have such Animal designs and fun diverse movepools (ESPECIALLY through tms. basically all of those dudes can learn thunderbolt or shadow ball it's so epic) i think a lot of normal types tend to be pretty overlooked (understandably) but i love just grabbing pokemon ive never used before and running with them just to see how they fare in casual gameplay and ive grown really attached to a lot of normal types through that. also return is like my favorite move ever and full power return + stab is so satisfying (why did they get rid of my boy fuck you sw/sh)

8. least favorite gym leader juan. literally THE most forgettable guy im sorry you will never be as cool as wallace. not even the devs cared about him like can we talk about the fact that his overworld sprite in emerald is just a slightly altered version of steven's bc that shit makes me lose it every time ITS SO FUNNY. honorable mention goes to all the forgettable kanto gym leaders (erika blaine etc)

25. favorite design of a pokemon god. this one is so hard i dont wanna just rehash favs ive already listed so im just gonna point out some cool guys: -scolipede. looks like a bug that you could ride into battle what more could you want -appletun, i know some people dont like the food pokemon but appletun has some of the coziest vibes imaginable they are literally an apple pie how could you be mad -sawsbuck's design has really grown on me over time they kinda went off with the winter form -OBSTAGOON ALSO GREW ON ME i hated it when it was first revealed but theyre one of my favs now -shaymin my friend shaymin. land form in particular is literally so marketable (i am the target demographic) -archeops?? looks so fucking cool? ive never used one in game bc of the shitty ability which is a shame bc i adore the design

my phone was 300usd, I am not gonna buy 100usd bluetooth earbuds that last 2 hours before needing to be recharged, I'm gonna lose so easily, sound like crap for being 100usd, and are designed to fail/battery degrade after a year or two. You can buy Moondrop Arias! or Shure 215s! I hatehatehate so much that these e-waste consumable solutions, to a problem that is completely fabricated, are normalized. I can see some of the benefits, no wires when doing intense exercise, no tangling cables, but they make workout specific earbuds, and good (~25usd+) iem's cables dont tangle in my experience.

every single day i get a little more annoyed that I can't plug in my headphones and charge my phone at the same time

I love his design so much. The black eyes, the ripped clothing, the bandages, his knives, those tentacles. He’s so handsome he’s my husband. When I saw him in Tangle and Whisper 4# I knew he had my heart. I really like exploration his character and working with what I have to create my theories for him.

least favorite thing about them:

I kinda wish we had more of an insight on his character. I know he’s evil but it never really shows his motivations for his actions. It’s just he’s evil look at how evil he is, he killed his team, he traumatized the shy awoo, u should hate him.

...I can already hear the rants, but Mimic x Starline. I’m not about to give up a ship especially since people still ship egg////. I can explain it better if it’s brought up again but my rundown is that it could’ve worked if people actually decided to write Starline as something else other than obsessed with Eggman.

unpopular opinion:

I’m really upset with how unpopular Mimic is in the fandom. I understand his character isn’t the greatest, and I myself am working on my own take of the character (please no yelly at me). But the fact people shit on him for an unsettling design and that he’s evil sucks. He really had the potential to be an excellent arc villain, but since he’s not well received by the fans, the attention goes to the next best villain boy, Starline.
