Phoenix and Hangman as Friends-In-Law

AU where Phoenix is with Javy and Jake with Bradley. Phoenix still pretends she doesn't like Jake that much and only deals with him on accounts of being her best friend's husband and her husband's best friend. They are not friends, only friends-in-law.

Both Coyote and Rooster have retired from active duty and have civilian jobs for the Navy, more family friendly 9 to 5s so they can take care of their respective kids.

Phoenix is climbing the ladder Ice-fast, racking up promotions and being highly regarded by everyone.

Hangman is on a very Maverick-like path: he is an unbelievable pilot, but an absolute nuisance that talks back to just about every admiral and pulls insane stunts in the air.

Since they are friends-in-law, Phoenix becomes, in spite of herself, his guardian angel, trying her best to keep him in the cockpit and not have him stripped of his wings. She knows he is a talented pilot, but will never admit it to his face.

Every once in a while Bradley would get a phone call at a weird time of the day and he knows he is in for a forty minute screaming rant from his best friend about YOU KNOW WHAT THAT DAMN HUSBAND OF YOURS DID THIS TIME?!, to which he would patiently listen to whilst starting to bake Phoenix's favourite cake. A couple of hours later he will arrive at the Trace-Machado household where an amused and resigned Coyote is waiting for him and whatever delicious dish he has brought to make sure Phoenix doesn't make a widower out of him.

Sometimes I forget that I grew up somewhere extremely liberal and tolerant, and then a person online will say "oh, you know the stereotype where-" and proceed to describe a kind of racism that is so outlandish and cartoonish that I catch myself thinking it can't possibly be a real thing people believe.

I used to hate Rook when I started twst (send me to the gallows) but now I think he's one of the best characters 🤸‍♀️ I do still appreciate my experience with hating him though, because WAS that an experience holy shit 🕴 I have a vivid memory of thinking he reminded me of raw chicken drumsticks???? And every time he popped up in a vignette I would be like "Aw no, the raw chicken guy"??????? I didn't like Vil all that much either and honestly it's crazy how fast I went from not wanting to play book five to being INVESTED in this silly teenage dance group

Chapter 5 Progress Update

This is kind of like writing a diary but the diary is touched once a week and is also being looked at by multiple people. Anyway -- update time!

Writing: So.... yeah I finished the investigation chapter now too. Haha. Now I would've then said "and I've done a bit of the trial" but because I was falling behind on the daily life art, I've decided not to start the trial writing until I'm all caught up (which is very close dw).

hiii well this is a really good question actually i had to truly stop and think and then could NOT decide lmaooo well. my favorite is in life but their best (to me) is five star so i did them both 💞 it was really hard esp for 5star i had to choose ‘i like both’ so many times hehe and i drew a line under the ones that i Love and wouldn’t mind classifying as my fav skz songs in general 😌
