Also! I got (kinda sorta) gendered correctly by a complete stranger yesterday! It was a homeless person (or in some kind of tough spot, idfk specifically) who asked to use my phone. What Are You?' and i'm all !!!!!! in my head cuz i'm always Always she/her'd but managed to respond 'I'm a guy:3' without sounding too awestruck.

Ok so I have had an idea. This is a bit of reference to the ratatouille au continuation of Desmond being able to hear us in the animus servers. So picture this, after a while of us talking to Desmond checking up on him and the others. Someone the group chat somehow makes a mod that gives the players (us) avatars to pilot in the servers for a short amount of time, but instead of the bodies being human they're just random animals from mise to crows to hawks and eagles. So here kinda how I think this would go. So all the ancestors are asleep or resting in the servers, meanwhile the person who made the mod adds it into the server and there's a bit of commotion as the person tells everyone else, and so the players get to work making the avatars. Then morning comes around, Desmond and the others wake up and see this excessive about of rodents just gathered around everyone. After a moment of panic and shock for our dear assassins and templars they come to find out that now the voices "inside" Desmond's head are now here ready to try And cause some havack.

Alright, confession time. When I was writing for the voices, my brain immediately to the ‘chat windows’ that popped up in Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint and in The Perks Of Being An S Class Heroine.

Then I thought, you know what would be funny? If it was like an actual chatbox with our preferred avatar kinda like this:

To make this stranger, all the avatar are like stock photos of animals and plants. This way, when their avatar finally comes to form, Desmond will be surrounded by various animals.

What happens to the ones who chose plant avatars?

My initial idea was that they would be floating plants like a leaf or a flower just floating in the air.

But then I realized…

We’re crazy enough to band together and create a ‘strange’ unique flower crown to put on Desmond’s head.

The ones that transformed into animals would go “That’s not fair! Why do you guys get to be that close to Desmond?!”

“Plant ftw, bitches!!!” A dandelion of all things would shout out, accidentally blowing itself up and floating away from Desmond, “Fuck!”

A second passed and the dandelion glitches out of existence.

Only to glitch back into the (technically floating) flower crown on Desmond’s head.

“Hey, guys, did you know it cost 1000 Helix to respawn? Fucking Ubi████.”

For those who don’t care about Ubisoft’s monetization scams (as you should), 1000 Helix is more or less $10 and they don’t sell 1000 Helix, they sell the small pack for $9.99 and it gives 1050 Helix. For reference, AC Valhalla’s complete sets (full armor + 2 weapons + mount and raven skin) usually cost around 1500 Helix.

So yeah… even though the ‘players’ have spawned in Desmond’s world, they are still haunted by monetization. (This does mean Desmond has gotten himself an immortal army of plants and animals)

Sp*ilers ahoy

I have very few notes, but here they are:

Pingpong clocking Lomfon’s Tien-based short film was such a great friendship moment; that whole conversation was so good. I just wish the film hadn’t turned into a confession, because that was legitimately awful and I fast-forwarded so fast to skip that scene.

Nara/Dream FTW - I was giddy during their whole ‘date.’ Of course, they almost immediately started talking about Tai and Patts’ relationship. But thankfully, they quickly refocused on each other. Highlight of the episode. (Which really should not have been the case, show.)

I’m pretty sure I recognized that Chiang Mai aerial shot from Chains of Heart. The location is beautiful and I can see why they keep returning to shoot there.

Tai motoring around on his scooter visiting locals and getting to know the area was very cute.

But getting filmed backstory of random strangers just to seemingly give Tai more love advice that he didn’t actually need? Why? That screentime could have been much better used later. [see next bullet point]

The reunion - Tai said his piece, Patts took him back with barely a word, the end. ???? [insert iguess.gif here]

AND THEN

The show gives Tien hearing loss and a soulmate in the last shot of the show.

Because if getting a soulmate was truly spontaneous like this (and not something that happens at a set age range like in most depictions), then the society in this show’s world would not have romanticized it to the point that Tai has so many issues in the first place. 

In a world where anyone can get a soulmate at any time, long-term relationships would either not be a thing for the most part (because most people are waiting for their person) or it would just be treated like a random sci-fi event connecting two people and they would form relationships like in a non-soulmate world. In that second scenario, I’m sure there are people who believe in the romantic ideal of soulmates and either wait for it to happen to them or ditch their current partner as soon as it happens. But, if that is the case for the La Pluie world, we weren’t shown that, and I have to believe that considering Tai’s issues, we would have.

Final Rating: Two stars (one star for Nara, half star for the OST, and a half star for Title because I really liked him as Tai)

Rewatchability: Low (I was planning to do a rewatch at some point, but that last nonsense with Tien changed my mind. I likely will never rewatch it.)

Someone Judging His S/O’s Scars (Headcanons)

Akaashi Keiji, Bokuto Kotarou, Ushijima Wakatoshi, and Kageyama Tobio

[AKAASHI KEIJI]

Akaashi isn’t new to your scars. He noticed them since the beginning of your relationship.

However, he knows not to point them out, so he kept quiet about it. He trusts that you’ll tell him when the time comes.

So when someone came along and pointed out your scars, Akaashi was stunned by the audacity. He stood there frozen in shock, wondering how a person could have such little respect.

On the outside, Akaashi remained calmed and collected. On the inside, he was fuming.

The atmosphere between him, you, and the person was extremely awkward, to say the least.

Somehow the two of you got out of the situation, but he could tell that you were feeling uncomfortable.

“It’s okay, I had a hint about where your scars came from. There’s nothing wrong with them-- trust me. You don’t need to tell me if you’re uncomfortable,” Akaashi explained, understanding your uneasiness.

[BOKUTO KOTAROU]

Bokuto always assumed your scars came from an animal. (he never thought much about it.)

Besides, there was a reason why you didn’t talk to him about it, right? Yeah, sure, he can be a bit oblivious sometimes but at least he knows how to respect others.

It was an unusually hot day, and wearing short sleeves seemed like the best idea. The two of you were walking home from a date when another couple comes around, immediately taking notice of your scars.

They weren’t even trying to hide the fact that they were judging you. The couple whispered to one another, making weird faces at the same time.

You knew what they were talking about and so did Bokuto. His inability to keep his mouth shut got the best of him.

“Hey, what are you looking at? Is there something wrong with [Y/N]?” He asked in a blunt manner. “I hope you’re not judging my [Y/N] for something she can’t change! I’d mind my own business if I were you, pals.”

Ushijima also assumed your scars were from a non-self-inflicted injury. He never mentioned it not because he didn’t care, but because of the fact that the topic was never brought up.

You appreciated how he never pointed out nor judged your scars. This man has a lot of respect for others :D

Ushijima usually has a large tolerance for rude people, but once someone crosses the line, he’ll say something.

When some stranger pointed at your scars and asked about them, you were a bit nervous since Ushijima was right there, and he never got the chance to know the full story.

Before you could respond, Ushijima muttered, “you didn’t have to point it out. There’s no reason for you to know.” (you silently thanked the universe for gifting you with such a wonderful man)

The stranger walked away, scoffing about how he didn’t care anyway. Though, you felt a little in debt and told Ushijima about your scars. He responded with a nod and simply said, “you’re still perfect.”

[KAGEYAMA TOBIO]

Similar to Akaashi, Kageyama always had a hint about where your scars came from. Though, he never had the right opportunity to bring it up.

Kags respected your boundaries and upsetting you is the last thing he wants to do. He’ll wait patiently until you feel comfortable opening up about it.

Oh boy, when you were walking in a local park with Kageyama, some random man saw your scars and obnoxiously pointed them out. Kageyama was just like, “Huhhh?”

He went off on them. “Yeah, what about it, douchebag? Weren’t you ever taught not to point out other people’s scars? What’s your problem?”

Kageyama grabbed your hand and took you somewhere else. He was probably more upset than you were LOL

“Ignore him, [Y/N]. He was being inconsiderate,” Kageyama sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose in frustration.

Onew: 

“That was weird...” you mumbled to yourself as you left the cafeteria after receiving a sandwich from an idol you had never really spoken to before. 

On your way back to the waiting room you bumped into your boyfriend and the rest of SHINee and greeted them with a smile. Your relationship with Onew was a hidden fact but you were both under the same company so you could still talk and be friendly without it being suspicious. 

Onew quickly noticed that something was off and questioned you about it, to which you then shortly explained. 

“Someone just handed me this sandwich and said they wish to ‘get to know me better’ and it just seemed kind of odd to me...” 

Since you were still quite new to the industry you wouldn’t know what had just happened but Onew definitely would and he wouldn’t like it. Without explaining it to you he took the sandwich and threw it away, all while the other members tried to hold back their laughter. 

You couldn’t do anything but watch and feel a bit lost. In the end, Key decided to explain the situation, because the leader didn’t seem to want to do so. 

“That person just made a move on you y/n and gave you their number with that sandwich, that’s why hyung is sulking right now.” 

“Ah…” 

You couldn’t help but feel a bit embarrassed about not realizing the intentions behind the situation sooner and then turned to Onew with a small pout. 

Since you couldn’t hug or kiss him at the moment you decided to grab his hand subtly and give him a reassuring look. You also whispered that you only had eyes for him and that he had no reason to worry or sulk about someone else trying to approach you. 

Jonghyun: 

You and Jonghyun were currently promoting together for a collab and shared a private waiting room where you spent a lot of your time. You had left for a moment to get something to drink and would return with more than that. 

He watched in curiosity as you threw something in the trash and then walked over to sit next to him on the couch with a small huff. 

“Is something wrong baby?” 

“I received a sandwich on my way back. I threw it away, though, so you have nothing to worry about.” you explained quickly and then turned to peck his lips and lean into his side for a small cuddle. 

He didn’t hesitate to wrap his arms around you but still felt a bit lost. “Sandwich?” 

“Yes...from a male idol.” you added and he then understood what you meant and frowned a bit to himself. 

He was no stranger to people coming on to you. You were popular and people had even asked him for your number, since you were working together and were close friends in the eyes of those who didn’t know that you were actually dating.

He didn’t like it but he didn’t feel worried, because you had a way of reassuring him that he was the only person in your heart. He could see it in your eyes and in the way you smiled at him, since it was different from others and also through subtle skin-ship, just like you were doing at the moment. 

“It doesn’t matter who tries to give you their number. I know you only have eyes for me.” he said with a proud smile and leaned in to give you a sweet and romantic kiss. 

Key: 

Key was seated in the cafeteria at the music show and patiently waited for you to join him. Whenever you were promoting at the same time you would eat together but you were taking a bit too long just to go and get some food. 

His eyes then travelled across the room until he spotted you together with another male idol. It made him frown a bit, as the idol also handed something to you before walking off. When you finally returned to the table and sat down he wasn’t happy. 

“What did you two talk about?” 

“He complimented my performance and told me he was a fan.” You said with a small smile and then unwrapped the sandwich you had received to eat but stopped as something fell out.

Key noticed and then quickly grabbed it before you could only to shred it to pieces and toss it aside carelessly. He knew very well what the paper was and the fact that it came from the idol you had just been talking to made his blood boil.

“Okay… what was that?” You questioned, since you didn’t understand his actions or what it was that he felt the need to shred apart so violently. 

“Don’t worry, you don’t need that.” He told you and then forced a smile. “Let’s eat.” 

You could tell that something bothered him and after you continuously asked about it throughout the day he ultimately told you that the piece of paper he tore up was actually a phone number meant for you. 

The fact that he got jealous over something like that would make you roll your eyes since it’s not like you would’ve kept the number when you were already in a relationship with him. A relationship that meant the world to you and that you wouldn’t leave for anything. 

Minho: 

Minho was in his waiting room, playing a random game on his phone, when Taemin suddenly came over to give him a small nudge. 

“Hyung, I just heard through a friend that someone is going to give their number to y/n.” he told him and seemed to be a bit amused by the news. “Maybe you should go find her before that happens so she doesn’t keep it.”

Minho normally didn’t get jealous over petty things but something about Taemin's words got to him and he then quickly left to find you. When he ultimately did you were already in the midst of receiving the infamous sandwich that people would use for their love interests and it didn't sit well with him. Once the idol in question had left he didn’t hesitate to walk over and snatch the sandwich out of your hands. 

“Oh? Minho- yah that’s mine!” you tried to claim it back, which was impossible once your giant of a boyfriend decided to use his height to his advantage and hold it above his head. It made you frown. “That’s not fair. If you are hungry you can get your own. Give it back.” 

“Wait” he said and then unwrapped the plastic around the sandwich to take something out and then handed it back to you. “There. Now you can eat it.” 

You took it with a puzzled look and also looked at the piece of paper Minho tossed away in the nearest trash can. It then suddenly made sense and you couldn’t help but find the situation a bit humorous. 

Your boyfriend didn’t really get jealous that often so when he did, you couldn’t help but tease him about it. 

“That was a number, wasn’t it?” 

“It doesn’t matter.” he muttered with a cute frown, which would make you laugh a bit. 

Taemin: 

After finishing your rehearsals, you and Taemin decided to meet in the cafeteria to eat a quick lunch together. You were known to be friends, which was a good cover when you wanted to spend time together but still keep your relationship a secret. 

You were already seated as Taemin returned with a sandwich for each of you to eat. However, you already had one, which would make him look at you in question. 

“Where did that come from?”

“Ah, someone gave it to me just now…” you mumbled and felt a bit puzzled.

Taemin, however, immediately knew what was going on, since he had seen it with other idols before. He didn’t like it and then quickly thought of a way to avoid it. 

He asked you to point out who had given you the sandwich and when your attention was elsewhere he quickly switched the sandwiches around, so the one with the number inside would end up with him. However, he didn’t have time to open it and discard the piece of paper before you turned back around, so he desperately ate it all in one go. 

You watched him in worry as he ate way too much at once and then chewed in slight discomfort. 

“Are you okay Taemin?” 

He nodded, since his mouth was too full to speak and then slowly finished the sandwich with an awkward smile. 

In the end, you never found out about the number and when he later told the story to the other members they would find it hilarious that he actually ate paper just to keep it from you.

Howie Stark is enticed by you and you are so fucked. Bad boy, never afraid of a fight, such a smooth talker, womanizer, and always on your mind. It just wasn’t fair. It wasn’t right, you have a boyfriend. Howie’s making everything’s a little blurry. You’re a little cynical and bad boys just aren’t your type. Or could that change with a flash of Howie’s crooked grin?

First day of Fall semester of your second year of college. You stop in front of the steps, replying to Wanda’s text. Waiting for you in class, with a seat saved. Your hair fell around you, your hoodie and leggings were a easy run on a early morning. A large hand cups one side of your ass, a large body pushes up against you a second later. 

You whirl around on the heels of your sneakers. Your palm slams across his cheek with a loud smack. He looks down, startled. But his head pulls back, surprise on his face, his cheek turning bright red.

You’re momentarily surprised as well. He’s ridiculously gorgeous, strong jaw line cleanly shaven, rumbled, wild dark brown hair, his eyes are the shade of whiskey aged to perfection. He stands taller than you, but he’s not a massive guy, well built. Arms taunt with muscle noticeable with the way his long sleeve hugs him.

“Damn girl.” He smirks, and the breathe left your body. “Early in the morning for a swing like that.” He chuckles.

“Early in the morning for your hand on my ass.” You manage to bite back. Keeping your composure so the random gorgeous stranger doesn’t realize the affect he has on you.

“Sorry, mistaken identity.” He grins, eyes running over you. “I could have sworn those legs were in my bed this morning.” He licks his lips, pressing them together as his eyes slowly work over your legging covered legs.

“Oh fuck boy, these are legs that’ll never be wrapped around you. Keep wishing though.” You scoff, rolling your eyes. You turn heading up the steps, you only make it to the landing before the door.

“I’ll add it to my Christmas list!” He calls after you. You glance back, pulling the door open. He grins, backing away from the steps. You shake your head, stepping into the building without so much as giving him another look.

You settle into the seat with Wanda, pulling out your notebook and pen. You settle in, as Wanda speed texts next to you. You were waiting for the History course to start, your hand absent mindedly rubbed over the palm that had slapped the gorgeous stranger. There’s a soft sting in the skin still, but the stranger thing. You could still feel the warmth of his hand on your ass.

The doors of the hall open once more. You glance back, double taking as the gorgeous stranger stands inside. His eyes run down the tables, looking for an opening. But he double takes as well when his eyes skip across you. A smirk on his lips, he starts down the stairs, you force yourself to turn back around, facing front.

“What’s that look for?” Wanda looks over at you.

“What look?” Your brow pulls down.

“You’re scowling, but your cheeks are flushed.” She points out.

“Just ah, tired.” You shrug, running your hand through your hair.

“You should try a good slap. Really wakes you up.” A smug voice comes from behind you. You suck in a slow, deep breathe. Wanda looks from you to the guy behind you, and back. You slowly turn your upper body, to look back at him. A crooked grin on his lips, sleeves pushed up on his arms, and eyes tracking you.

“You’d think you’d learn to mind your own business.” You lift a brow. 

“I don’t know. I liked having my hand on your, business.” He drags his teeth over his bottom lip. Your mouth runs dry. “My mom says I never learn the first time.” He chuckles softly.

“You apparently didn’t learn how to treat a woman.” You scoff. He grins, leaning forward on his table, closing in on you from the level behind you.

“Baby girl, you have no idea how I could treat you.” His voice soft, with a gravel to it. His bottom lip tucked between his teeth again as he drops back against his seat. 

“I’m good.” You snort. “I’d rather not catch whatever you’re passing around, that keeps the school nurse busy.” You pop your shoulder, batting your eyes.

“I like a girl who can bite.” He grins.

“What fuck boy doesn’t?” Your head tips, watching him.

“Ouch. Baby girl, no need to be mean.” He pats his hand on his chest, grinning at you.

“Stop calling me that.” You huff.

“Tell me your name.” He chuckles.

“Hell no.” You retort.

“Dude, I’m ten minutes late and you’re tormenting someone already?” Another guy drops into the seat next to him. Holy fuck, they look ridiculously alike. Your eyes flick from one to the other.

“Is the puppy yours?” You lift a brow at the guy. They both exchange the same grin before looking at you.

“He’s my little brother if that’s what you’re asking.” He laughs. Brothers, holy fuck those are some strong genetics.

“Well put a leash on him. He’s barking up the wrong tree.” You roll your eyes.

“What did you do now?” He looks at his younger brother.

“Nothing.” He laughs.

“He grabbed my ass.” You explain.

“Howie.” The brother looks over.

“Mistaken identity. Swear.” He grins, but never looks away from you.

“Yet you’re still hitting on me.” You lift a brow.

“It was a really nice ass.” He shrugs, that grin plastered on his lips.

“I can’t be the first person to slap you.” You shake your head.

“You slapped him?” The brother grins.

“Yeah Peter you hear that, she slapped me.” Howie grins, nodding.

“You clearly deserved it.” Peter laughs, looking at his brother.

“That’s an understatement.” You roll your eyes, turning back around.

“Come on, just your name. You know mine.” You glance back, he’s leaning forward again.

“I didn’t ask for yours.” You smirk back at him. “You’ll have to work for mine.” You sass, turning back around. Wanda lifts a brow, a grin on her lips.

“Red, what’s her name?” Howie turns to Wanda. Wanda presses her lips together, looking from you to Howie. “Come on, pretty please?” 

You knew he was flashing that grin at her, you could practically feel the heat coming off it. You press your lips together, holding in the smile building. Pulling your hair over your shoulder you shake your head slowly. Wanda grins at you.

Part One! Im sorry its taken me forever to reply!!!! i really am sorry if i made you worry, its just been very hot where i am so its been a little hard to focus on writing a coherent response :D ----- Ive written a few FAHC fics! (about 4 of them) my most recognised one is a raywood fic called 'A Handsome Stranger Called Death' (thats the real long boy). ----- I dont think you've done a fic rec for any of them but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯, im also not in the FAHC chat! but it sounds cool! - brie xx

... seeing them on twitter is so lovely, everytime i see them it becomes real UWU hours ----- my book is kinda a mix of funny and ouch! its called 'dumb things to say in a street fight' and its a collection of sentences that range from "you eyes say bedroom but you knife says ER" to "you hit like my dad" and its in a ergodic kinda style (house of leaves but not quite) i love writting because its so fun to put words together and make something heartbreaking and beautiful. | Salem is a bastard boy! but i love him-hes got a grey and white coat (underbelly, nose, and paws white, grey the rest) i adopted him from a pound while looking for my sisters cat (he came home eventually dw!) because i saw him and fell inlove instantly, i named him salem because to me hes magic. Im very glad to hear that Lady is doing better!!! ----- my favourite drink is either super cold water, or straight up sprite! what about you? | yeah im starting uni in feb! ill be studying creative writing with a minor in japanese language! it took me so long to decide as originally i wanted to do astrophysics but took a physics class and decided it wasnt for me and dropped physics the next year for english extension! i learnt so much about literary theory 10/10 very cool and makes you question everything- YOUR SERIES SOUNDS AMAZING!!!! i would read the heck out of that!!!!! | honestly i could see myself getting sucked into that world instantly! writing can be slow going and as a fellow ADHDer i know how it feels when you set up a lot to write but! let each milestone you hit, whether its deciding a characters last name or writing 1000, 100, 50, or even just 5 words, fuel your monolithic desire to weave together words and make something beautiful like an old god pulling meaning from the stars!

Lady is doing much better and is back to her usual prickly self. She still doesn’t like me, and unfortunately she has now equated me approaching her for pets or holds to “oh god the bad things are about to happen” so she runs away from me a lot now :( she still cuddles with my dad, though, the little assholes!! Creative Writing FTW!! Hell yeah! Japanese language will be hella fun, too. I’ve always wanted to learn an Asian language. So far I’m stuck in North American languages for the most part since my goal is to use these languages and I hardly ever encounter Japanese people in my small section of Texas haha
