I was makin myself a potato waffle. And had a fun realization/idea.

I bet that there's at least a small waffle restaurant in Gotham. Look me in the eyes and tell me there isn't a place that sells Spoiler-themed waffles.

Craving warm soup, a visit from my f/o, and for them to pepper my face with kisses. I want them to hold me and take care of me, and I want them to giggle as I burn the soup on my tongue and then tell me they will kiss it better once I'm no longer sick.

A couple weeks ago I was peeling potatoes at home and thinking, “Man, why did I complain about this so much as a kid? It’s not that hard. How much of a wimp was I?”

Then earlier today I was peeling potatoes at my parents’ house, using their peeler from the 80’s/90’s, and I was like, “Childhood Dave, I owe you an apology.”

personally i do when they’re mashed or roasted etc but i’ve heard that you shouldn’t count it. which i think is wrong but i am also really bad at eating all of my food groups so i need to feel like i am winning on days i eat potatoes 😔

Things In Newsies Live I Think About A Lot #2

During 'Carrying The Banner' you can see the newsies jumping around, playing with eachother etc, etc. One of my favourite examples was that if you look in the background, you can see a line of newsies all chasing after eachother before they all move towards the front of the stage to dance.

(I know this isn't the greatest picture of it, but it'll have to do.)

I'm not sure why this has stuck with me as long as it has, but something about this specific part is just so memorable to me.

I don't really know why, but this scene in particular has always sort of been a pretty big reminder at how young the newsies truly were. Like, this is a fairly fast paced scene with plently of movement and energy, and who do you normally associate with high levels of energy? Children.

And in life the majority of these newsies would have been 10-13 years of age. Kid Blink (strike leader and inspiration for Jack Kelly in the musical) was only ~16 years old, and he would have been a lot older than many other newsboys and newgirls in his time.

This might be a strange take on the scene, but it has been gnawing on the inside of my brain for ages, so now you all get to hear about it too.

I have no idea how these little fruit fly things come to be in our house. There's no fruit or veg on the counter. I'm guessing the pipes? Or the 2 plants I haven't killed yet attracted them?

There was one buzzing around my face and coffee. It landed on the inside of the cup and I covered it with my hand and tapped the cup to drown it. Today's coffee sacrifice

We have these night light looking things with sticky tape and I also have window traps. Every summer it's the same thing but I always thought it was produce related.
