Ramtov Umgove is a Jadeblood, and is of the few male Jadebloods. He lives in a series of underground caves and is raised by his ant lusus. Ramtov fears for his future as in the past Jadebloods used to have a set job, caring for the Mother Grubs. But, with all trolls who reach a certain age having to be set off planet, he feels trapped and anxious about what his off-planet duties are going to be and if he has a choice on the matter. In the past he has expressed this worry to his lusus, only to be waved off.

Like most Jadebloods, Ramtov is very nurturing and caring, fully able to come to anyone’s beck and call should they need it. However, this kindenss can be used to his disadvantage for those with more selfish intents. He likes to help and give advice to others, especially his palecrush, Yellah. Ramtov is very sociable and likes interacting with others.

While Ramtov, like others of his caste, can stand the intense heat of the Alternian sun, he much prefers to be nocturnal. It’s easier to talk to his friends that way and he likes that darkness a lot more. His lusus thinks he should get out more.

He also likes to sometimes cover up his symbol with his jacket, in fear that he would get treated better or differently of others due to his caste, and travel to the city for a night on the town. He often thinks about running away, but always comes back as he doesn’t know what he would do if he did.

Ramtov likes to play video games, especially older retro ones. sharing intricate yet abstract inside jokes that often borrowing from already existing media, and sharing them on sites like Trollian, making costumes based on his favorite fictional characters and dressing up as them, mining for rare metals and gems, attempting alchemy (but being not very succesful at it), and when the mood strikes him, roleplaying.
