Admin's notes : When planning for this blog, whoever it was going to whether it be Alex, Bee, Lare, or Murasaki, I knew from the beginning that I wanted to give them a butterfly motif because of all the symbolism it gives! In the beginning, I had a bit of trouble with what I wanted to go with his look. Before the butterfly dress, I initially thought to give him like a scientist-ey look with the whole collared shirt and lab coat (it also tied in for the first idea on what his motive is) but then thought that it was too fancy for him to wear considering what the original Mastermind wore in the game (literally just a hoodie). HOWEVER! When I was drawing his concept, my friend blurted out the idea of a butterfly dress and even though that IS more glam than the scientist idea, it fit more with his current motive. So I went "Fuck it!" and the butterfly dress became a reality! I didn't really do much research onto what wing pattern to give to him because I thought "Oh Monarch just give him the monarch butterfly pattern" but eventually settled with the spicebush swallowtail instead.

Admin's notes : There isn't really much to talk when talking about Mimi at first. Her whole purpose was to round out the numbers to 9 like the original and honestly that was about it... I am however planning more lore relevance on her in the future! She also has a connection to one of my characters so that'll be a fun easter egg!

"What is a more beautiful, more elegant, more accurate symbolism of death than butterflies? Maybe I could have gone for a certain type of flower but a butterfly seems more fitting in my personal opinion... A representation commonly used for the circle of life."
