tomorrow Friday, February 23 will be the 13th of shabaan, which means the ayaame bidh (days of the full moon) fast will fall on:

✨ Saturday, February 24

✨ Sunday, February 25

It was narrated that Abu Dharr ‏رضي الله تعالى عنهsaid: The Messenger ﷺ of Allaah ﷻ said to me: “If you fast any part of the month, then fast the thirteenth, fourteenth and fifteenth.”

Narrated by al-Tirmidhi (761); al-Nasaa’i (2424).

This hadeeth was classed as hasan by al-Tirmidhi, and al-Albaani agreed with him in Irwa’ al-Ghaleel, 947.

if you have missed fasts from ramadan, consider this a golden opportunity, especially as these are some of the shortest fasts in the entire year! and if you need extra encouragement, i’d be happy to be fasting buddies☺️

Ramadaan Goals 19′

1. pray on time.

2. memorize surah Taha.

3. contemplate over the verses of the Quraan.

4. make sure I stay away from backbiting etc

5. go for Taraweeh if possible, if not just pray at home.

6. stay up for qiyaam. 

7. listen to more tafsirs by Omar Suleiman and Mufti Menk.

8. do small good deeds every day, between me and Allah.

9. smile often, be more positive- tawakuul.

10. give charity daily.

11. avoid music, instead, listen to more Quraan.

12. pray sunnah, LOTS of sunnah.

13. make lots of dua especially when in ruku and after salaah or even while reading the quraan.

14. ask Allah for forgiveness throughout the day.

15. continue memorizing the names of Allah and their meanings.

16. read Yaseen daily on my way to work.

17. read surah Mulk at night.

18. gain even more knowledge about my deen.

19. practice a new sunnah daily.

20. make lots more Zikr.
