Porsche 911 Dakar, 2024. Porsche has completed their special edition run of 2500 Dakar models with the last car being sent to their Sonderwunsch division for extra special treatment. It has been liveried to pay homage to the 911 that won the 1984 Paris-Dakar rally. The combination of Signal Yellow and Gentian Blue Metallic take inspiration from the Rothmans-sponsored rally-winning 911 driven by René Metge and Dominique Lemoyne.

wild wild WILD to me that at the current moment only FOUR women on the current grid qualify to be in F1 Academy next year
Everyone else either fits the age limit, two year limit, or will get automatic promotion to FRECA
Like?? That’s insane! Next year eleven new female drivers will try their hand in an F4-level series. Hopefully at least one of them will be straight from their karting program!
I have a lot of qualms about F1 Academy and how it’s run but you cannot deny the impact of bringing eleven new young female drivers into this sport would bring!
And even the fourteen women leaving F1A are not leaving motorsport! Even if they don’t get the spot in the next level they are STILL going to continue doing professional motorsport whether that be stock or rally or other open wheel or wec for what is hopefully the rest of their lives!
I have a lot of problems with F1A and it is NOT a perfect series. But you cannot deny that it has succeeded in bringing more women and made it easier for women and girls to get into motorsport

Lancia Rally 037 Gruppo B, 1983. This is the actual Martini Racing 037 similar to the car that won the 1983 WRC, the last rear-wheel-drive car to do so. The 037 refers to Abarth's project code: SE037. It was developed by Lancia's rally team in collaboration with Pininfarina, Abarth, Dallara and project manager, engineer Sergio Limone. It was based on the Pininfarina-designed Lancia Montecarlo though seared only the centre-section and some body panels. The Montecarlo's transverse mid/rear engine was turned through 90º and moved forward for better weight distribution and to allow more flexibility with the rear suspension design. It was powered by a supercharged version of the Fiat's 2.0 litre DOHC 16 valve that produced 265hp
