What are your alien ocs thoughts on eating corn?

here's all my opinionated aliens! thank you for the question, it was very fun :) text transcript under the cut

YIEL: Um... I can't eat <nervous> but I wish I could. Apparently GAR'S old enough to have eaten before, he says it's nothing special but I think he's just never had anything good <skeptical>

LADY: I had corn once and, um... clogged the toilet. I'm sure your Earth exports are lovely, I just can't handle so much fiber.

GUNNELL: Ho-ho, corn? That's exotic exotic. I've had it before and I like the taste but I wouldn't eat it as part of a home meal.

THE PIRATE: Well maybe I'd have an answer for you if I could get my talons on anything other than NUTRIENT PASTE

CIPRIAN: Man, you can eat people for all I care, just clean up after yourself and we're cool.

STELLA: ...Bro

IUWAU: I HATE CORN. I don't even have anything against the taste, but the sound of someone eating it makes me want to leap out of my skin.

MOLLIMAR: Tastes okay, but pretty much everything tastes similar to me. I'll shamelessly piggyback off of Devon's opinion and say it's great.

BYZOW: It is unlike anything on my home planet! I like it. The taste is not good to me but the appearance is so funny.

PHIER-KEL: I love corn. I'm #1 corn warrior. Corn fears me. I'm the bane of corn. I love it so much, I have a t-shirt about it. The day I die is the day 70% more corn becomes available on the market. Corn. 4. Life. (He talks like this about all food he likes.)

DEVON: I'm no alien, but I'm out here for team corn.

what kinds of critters are in your story thing that aren't skuks? i see a lot of skuk posting (which is amazing) but i wanna know what other creatures there are!!!!

there is one other prominent alien species in the story and theyre called the rajmuhats, they sort of fill in the place of humans. i have no good fullbody images yet since im still figuring them out but most of the intrigue is in the head anyway

i was also toying with what the skuks looked like before they became mechanical but i think ill leave it up to viewer's imagination. heres a possible idea though

What is your original story about? Would you ever make a comic series of it? 👀

thank you so much for asking! unfortunately you might have to specify because i have (quickly checks document) 38 separate original stories/concepts

im going to assume you mean the one mentioned in the tags here because i havent talked about the others enough (if at all) for them to get listed on my pinned, and also that's my most recent post referencing anything original of mine. if you mean the "stellaris fic," which is now an entire worldbuilding project still sans a name, that got addressed here.

the story has yet to have an official title (i have an idea for what i want but im still toying with the phrasing to make it sound zingy) but if you'd like a (VERY) brief plot synopsis...

it's about the downfall of a short-sighted military-capitalistic space empire, whos ideologies get more extreme and destructive over time. the empire ends up eating itself inside out through frustrated citizens and explosive rioters, and their hubris also indirectly starts the chain of events needed for their 7 strongest war machines to become sentient. this leads to one of them disobeying orders and spurring conflict with a stronger empire, in the hopes that the stronger empire will declare war and put them out of their misery. this does happen, and the entire species is eradicated. the war, suffering, and distress stops, but all of the innocent civilians are taken out with it too, so it kind of begs the question of how much a clean slate is really worth. the aggressive empire's species are called the "rajmuhats," and the species that wiped out said empire are the "skuks."

the war-inciting battle machine is the main protagonist of the story and goes through a Lot. like, "leads her to think that starting the eradication of her entire creator species is a good idea in the moment" kind of events. this includes (but is not limited to) getting basically Matrixed (1999) for a time. she had no bodily agency, not even having full privacy and ownership of her own thoughts and memories. she was basically a walking resentment machine ready to strike back at her owners at any chance, and the first opportunity that presented itself happened to be... catastrophic. additionally, she believed she wasn't going to live after she set the war in motion, so she prepared to die before she had to emotionally process the fallout. spoiler: she ended up outliving her creator species and entering circumstances that prevented her from dying, so... get in the cryo chamber and think about what youve done!

if this were to ever become a tangible thing, it would be a novel, not a comic. i am eyeing a comic format for one of my other stories, though! (fandom this time, it's a fan rainworld campaign but i can't mod for shit.)

its really funny how skuk-posting has swarmed the [insert story name here] tag because theyre not even the main species in the plot. theyve stolen the spotlight already...

anyway, ill do some rajmuhat posting a little just to even the scores once i have some more finalized looking art. in the meantime, i should probably get to making the actual empire bio for the skuks public
