Finally. I got to redo his colors. His dark red never sat right with me, no matter how I adapted it, I still was left feeling like he and shirayuki looked like close relatives. So I took out the red, then gave him dark olive eyes to go with the new brown. Like, his palette no longer feels like an afterthought, if that makes sense.

Eventually came the time that she was dreading, having run out of things to do and feeling her anxiety skyrocket into her chest. How was she going to go about this?. . . How was she going to save what part of her dignity was left from this whole scenario?. . .

The entire situation had the poor girl unnerved, worried about what could've been the cause of such a state. Even if she was aware of the most likely case, she hoped that it wasn't so. Dianne was, indeed, more than aware that her involvement was causing plenty of issues, even if she wasn't told it directly.

"Raj," She pulled him up and into the nearest chair, making sure he was leaning back and not about to fall out of it. "Raj, wake up. You need to go back to your room and rest, please." The concerned look on her face only became more obvious with time, lips pursing together in thought.

“Huh. . .” She looked over the letter from over his shoulder. She wanted to be sure that she heard him right the first time when he stated that it was asking for both parents to make attendance for his siblings next parent teacher conference. Dianne had decided to keep them in the same school for the time being upon having gotten them adopted, but they were made aware of the changes. Perhaps the teacher wasn’t aware of the situation since it was a new year? Or perhaps it was simply a mistranslation in regards parents/guardians. . .

But what he said was, indeed, correct in it’s wording. 

“Perhaps they mean the adults of the household. . . Nonetheless, perhaps it would be a good idea for the both of us to attend, just in case.”

"That is rather true. . . Isn't it?" While it had not been something she had been expecting or taking into account, the small animal before her made it hard to refuse. A small, helpless kitten that she had come across in a drain that she managed to get out. A quick back and cleanup of the animal, and well. . . It seems the kids have taken to the little creature already.

"Have any of you had pets before? Or would be a new experience for all of us?" She gently rubbed the top of it's head, trying to gage how this was going to work if she did take it in. . .
