When Yusuke Urameshi is written to be mature and grown up by showing how he's not fighting anymore because of whatever reason, I feel like this is a big misunderstanding of YYH and Yusuke as a youkai in general. Yusuke descended from a Mazoku worshipped as a Toushin.

Toushin literally means battle god or a war god. Youkai that are S class and above are worshipped as gods in mythology. Raizen as a Toushin could have had his own worshippers like he was Ares from Greek myths (and better because he's not a coward). Being a battle god, you cannot take out the battles out of that creature and consider that maturity.

Raizen gave up fighting because he was missing his lover so basically not at his best shape mentally anymore. You can say he was depressed. If Yusuke loses the same joy he feels now from fighting, that's not maturity. That's him feeling the same melancholy as Raizen had.

Youkai like any other mythical creatures cannot be understood by giving them human interpretations or making them adhere to human customs. Maybe a 14 or 15 year old boy who doesn't get into street fights can be seen as mature but not a youkai who makes bonds by fighting friends. Raizen maintained friendships so loyal it withstood hundreds of years even with disagreements. Raizen's friends are loyal to him even beyond his death and all they could talk about him was how he was so strong and they all idolized him.

Yusuke building his own relationships by bumping fists is him just being himself. That's who he is and what he's comfortable with no matter if he was human or demon. It's not immature for a youkai like Yusuke to seek fights. His friends who all want to fight him aren't shallow in their bonding with him as the story already established by showing us how solid Raizen's friends were with him. If the Makai war proceeded because Yomi didn't accept the tournament, all of those youkai that allied with Raizen will be loyal to Yusuke and joining his side. They are friends who established friendships with fighting.

It's not unheard of in fiction and mythology and when this is misunderstood as immaturity by some fans, that's a disservice to what YYH is telling us. Youkai have a different society and social bonds that aren't lesser than what humans will consider as friendships. None of those bonds should be seen as immature or shallow. Youkai and human have differences but neither has to give up their identity to be seen as an equal.

I want Yusuke to fuck the way he fights. Forceful and no plans. He goes with whatever feels right, whatever's pleasurable for him. His demonic core thrums and makes his energy run wild. He gives as good as he takes but he's more selfish than you'd expect because in the end, he fucks for his own climax just like how he fights for himself. And all of his lovers are mesmerized when he cums just like how they admire him when he wins over them.
