Voronwë Appreciation

(Shoutout to @starspray for sparking the idea and gratitude to @polutrope and @melestasflight for fic suggestions)

Voronwë was related to the House of Fingolfin through his father, Aranwë, a nobleman of Gondolin and to Círdan himself through his mother, who was one of the Sindar Elves of Falas. He was sent by King Turgon to seek a passage to Aman and call on the Valar for aid against Morgoth. He delayed on the road, tarrying in Nan-tathren and because of this he was the final one to embark on the last ship that Círdan, at the request of Turgon, had built for them. After sailing for seven years without reaching the lands in the West, his ship attempted to return to Middle-Earth defeated. In a storm within sight of the coast the ship was wrecked and all save him were drowned. By the grace of Ulmo, Voronwë was saved from the wreck and washed ashore in Nevrast, near Vinyamar. He was sitting at its wall when he encountered Tuor and heard his story as the messenger of Ulmo and led him back to Gondolin.

Important moments: ✨There Was Only One Cloak ✨ and ⛵ Sailing West With Tuor and Idril 🌊. This character deserves way more love!

Last Book: um finished?? The Girl Who Fell Beneath the Sea by Axie Oh. Twas a fun time. :) I am in the middle of... 4 books right now <w<'

Current Obsession: baking. I haven't had a ton of energy but my brain has been yelling at me to BAKE and I finally got some more yeast so I can make rolls. I've made 2 loaves of ciabatta bread with the yeast I had left and I've got bananas to make some vegan cookies. I also want to make some muffins but less intently than I want to make other goods. I have a rosemary bread recipe. I have culinary lavender for some reason so maybe I'll try a lavender tea bread. Am considering cupcakes as I've got dairy free butter and confectioners sugar to make a buttercream icing but my arms probably aren't up to it. Yes I've got a mixer but it can't do all of the work xD also I cannot possibly eat all of this, I'm taking things to neighbors and the community kitchen at work.

Which reminds me, anyone know how to 'muddle' lavender? The recipes using lavender I find mostly all mention muddling but not what the heck that actually is. I've managed to gather it's some kind of letting it sit in water, I think, but I haven't had much more luck than that.

Chapter 4: Melkor discovers natural selection!

Thing no one told me about applying for jobs:

Nowadays, most applications are processed through an automated system before they get seen by a human. The automated systems are basically search engines that scrape through your application looking for keywords and phrases related to the job description.

In order to get through the automated system and get your resume in front of human eyes, you need to have the right keywords, and those keywords are given in the job ad. So when you're editing your resume/cover letter for a job, you can and should literally copy and paste phrases from the job ad into them. Save being original and interesting for your interview.

Whatever the "required skills" are, list them in your required skills section by pulling out the most important one or two words. For example, if the ad says they want someone with, "Experience using integrated data systems to manage client information" you would list, "data systems management" in your skills. Then, whichever job you list that gave you that experience, put "Using integrated data systems to manage client information" in the job description.

It doesn't actually matter if that's exactly how you would describe the work you did. If you think it counts, write it out that way. When you go to the interview, you can talk about what you did and why it is basically the same thing that they want you to be doing.
