Today we had a celebration of life for both Miku and me. I thank my community for sharing all their memories about Miku.

Knowing that she loved us and tolerated everyone else. Sorry everyone else, I know she was a snooty princess sometimes.

She was so much light in my life and I really wanna carry the love of her going forward. Help as many animals as I can. While missing and remembering her.

She could never be replaced.

Primarily Supernatural, plus a few of Jensen Ackles's post-Supernatural projects.  I used to write for Star Wars and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but those were the pre-AO3 days and the fics were lost to the Internet ether.  I shipped Buffy/Giles, so if you catch me talking shit about controversial ships, remind me I got no room to talk.

5.  Do you respond to comments?

Yes!  Yes, every time.  Even if all it is, is a smootch and a thank you.

6.  Angstiest ending?

'A Borrowed Life.'  A S6 canon divergence which does not end in a good place.  Full of Broken Thoughts.  A S9 canon divergence which does not end in a good place.  Make It Do (Or Do Without).  A S10 canon divergence which does not end in a good place.  Supernatural has a bad habit of wandering off and not ending in good places.

7.  Fic with the happiest ending?

'The Professional.'  Dean's mate and wife just told him she's pregnant.  Because God damn it, Dean should have an ending in a comfortable and cared for old age surrounded by family who loves him.

8.  Do you get hate?

I haven't yet.  Impatience is as bad as it's gotten.  So far.

9.  Do you write smut?

Uh . . . (a higher-than-clouds naked Castiel wanders by, followed by Jellot the pygmy goat) . . . yes?

10.  Do you write crossovers?

I can conceptualize crossovers.  I even started on a Werewolf the Apocalypse one, but that's unfortunately dead in the water due to flawed concept that's going to require a 90% teardown to fix.

11.  Ever had a fic stolen?

Not that I know of.  If anyone catches it, please tell me ASAP.

12.  Have you ever had a fic translated?

No.  I have had a couple narrated, by the amazing and wonderful @talltalesandbedtimestories

13.  Have you ever co-written a fic?

14.  All time favorite ship?

I don't have a particular favorite.  Destiel and Wincest don't speak to me the way they do to some people-- Dean's not gay, y'all, he's just not.  Who he should've ended up with in canon?  Oh Donna.  They'd've made a deeply happy couple, provided there's a therapist on speed-dial and Dean sobered up at some point.

15.  WIPs you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

More than I can conveniently count.  There's the AU where Dean's a Viking, another AU where Soldier Boy takes a hostage escaping cross-country, an Omegaverse fantasy piece where Dean's taken as a prize of war . . . the biggest suspect is The Days Of High Adventure, I'm simply stuck on the next plot point.

16.  Writing strengths?

Uh . . . an obsession with backstory and a too-cute turn of phrase?

17.  Writing weaknesses?

I fall in love with aforementioned too-cute turns of phrase and recycle them a lot.  I have a hard time juggling ensembles.  Characterizations without resorting to cliches.  Inconsistant output.  Inability to take input-- I don't use a beta reader.

18.  Thoughts on mixed language dialogue?

I think it can be obstructive if overused.  On the other hand, sometimes we're not supposed to know right off the bat what's being said, as a way to communicate a character's stepping out of the usual and customary.

19.  First fandom you wrote for?

(blushes)  Rainbrow Brite.  I was six.

20.  Favorite fic you've ever written?

I love all my awful, wonderful children.  Put a gun to my head and I'm most proud of 'Man Of Constant Sorrow,' a 'The Boys' post S3 canon divergence fic. That one took a lot of time and attention, and the feedback I got was awesome.

It was a broom handle. Alex knew what it was banging on the floor under him from his neighbor, complaining about the baby in the next apartment! Asshole. They always had something to complain about, it didn't matter what you were doing or the time. But it was late, and Alex had to admit, even if he hadn't seen much of his neighbor lately, she seemed stressed with her baby. He didn't really know why . . . He imagined having a baby around would be fun! But he wasn't going to ask questions. He was, however, going to knock on the door. If only to get away from his spiteful downstairs neighbor. "Uh-" Oh. She'd actually opened the door.

Alex stood, hand hanging awkwardly in the air before he moved to rub the back of his neck, looking away. "Sorry." God, this probably wasn't what she needed right now. Alex had no idea what the woman in front of him needed, but it seemed like she was just about to start crying. "Hey," Alex said, turning his attention to the baby instead, waving his hands about and cooing, grabbing the little one's attention just long enough to break the crying. "are you giving mommy a hard time, hmm? Why you doin' that?" He asked, smiling lightly as the young girl reached toward him, no doubt trying to grab a fistful of newly dyed hair. Not everyone went for that emo-meets-rainbrow-throw-up look, but hey! Life was short! "Downstairs thinks I have a baby." Alex explained to the other. "They also think I'm hammering stuff into the floor every other hour."

The baby was screaming her head off and in Miray’s studio apartment, the sound kept reverberating. She was stressed beyond belief and it hadn’t been two weeks. She hadn’t even had time to grieve. Miray barely heard the knock at the door it was so loud. She shifted Sophia to her other hip and opened the door, ready to deal with someone trying to lodge a complaint about the noise.

Rainbow Bridge Rainbow Bridge National Monument is the world’s largest known natural arch formation. The rainbow-shaped formation is 88 meters (290 feet) high and 84 meters (275 feet) wide. It’s located in Glen Canyon National Recreation Area in a remote part of southern Utah.

Rainbow Bridge is made of Navajo Sandstone that’s about 200 million years old. The base the bridge sits on is Kayenta Sandstone that’s well over 200 million years old. Kayenta Sandstone was laid down by shallow inland seas that dominated the region in the Paleozoic Era (542 million to 251 million years ago). The Navajo Sandstone was created from sand dunes deposited over millions of years during a dry period. Both formations were subsequently buried under 1,500 meters (5000 feet) of other material, and the resulting tremendous pressure exerted on them compressed them into sandstone. About 20 million years ago, much of the Four Corners region, where Colorado, Utah, Arizona, and New Mexico intersect, was uplifted by approximately 3 kilometers (1.9 miles). As the land rose, streams cut more deeply into the landscape. Water erosion played a significant role in sculpting Rainbow Bridge. A stream used to flow around the rocks that now make up the bridge. At some point the water found a path of least resistance through the sandstone that was under the modern-day bridge. Sandstone consists of grains of sand, ranging from fine to coarse, bound together by water soluble materials such as calcium carbonate. Water dissolves the bond and washes away the sand. As parts of the sandstone are eroded, the remaining intact rock is subjected to greater downward forces from gravity and supporting the weight of everything above it. Instead of collapsing, the added pressure (pressure = force divided by area) causes the sand grains within to lock together, increasing stability. Eventually a critical pressure is reached where the sand grains are locked so tightly that they resist erosion, while areas under low stress will continue to erode away revealing an arch or other formation. The specific shape depends greatly on the location of any weakness in the sandstone where erosion can be most effective. Eventually the erosive forces will overcome the stability, and Rainbow Bridge will collapse. I have to buy Christmas gifts for my highkey homophobic relatives because if they’re gonna shun me for being trans they better be upfront about it, I’m not going to give them any other “reasons” for it by God I am going to give them good gifts and they are going to have to justify hating me for other reasons. 

Anyways. I spent 1 night searching etsy for the queerest stores I could possibly patronize, while also having products with plausible deniability for homophobic relatives bc I don't want to start a riot on the spot I just want to have a nice innocuous gift that comes from a source that would absolutely make them furious if they knew. My goal was to find someone who donates to a charity like the Trevor Project so I could get An Innocuous Non-Gay Looking Item but cackle inside knowing that the gift money is actually going to The Gays.

Here's some stores that I was delighted to find but didn't quite make the cut for the incredible specific things I was looking for. 

JabaCrafts: sells a variety of what looks like very nice soaps, some are Normal and could be used for Homophobic Relative Gifts, a percentage of money (they didn’t say how much..?) from the sale of only the Pride-themed soaps goes to local LGBTQ+ charities. 

TrandleBoutique: Transwoman-owned shop with Pride candles. Also sells plain colored candles that could be used as Homophobic Relative Gifts whilst directly funding a trans artisan.

TBrosSoapCo: LGBT-owned (I”m assuming they’re a trans man based on the prominent T pun in the title, which also includes a hypodermic needle so heads up if you hate those, the soaps look like they come stamped with the design so unfortunately I can’t use these as Homophobic Relative Gifts but I love this store and may one day have to patronize them For Me) and their soaps look very nice 

SpookiiBubbles: Has spooky/Halloween-themed stuff, which I love; also has a bi and a neon rainbrow pride design, donates the profits from the pride-themed soaps to the LGBTQ bail fund. 

WildRaeBoutique: donates 3 dollars from the sale of every rainbow pride soap to the Trevor Project. Also has Innocuous Non-Gay Items For Homophobic Relatives. 

Runner-ups: stores that are just very fun and also have 1 or 2 Pride options so like, casual allies 

JiroSoap: INCREDIBLY CUTE soaps, some are CAT THEMED, have 3 rainbow designs and all are gorgeous

HarnettHeritage: just some very cute molded soaps in a variety of themes (I was sorely tempted by the Halloween potions set) and they have one rainbow pride option 

HoneyBubbleSoaps: has one Pride design and some other very nice items (the rose loofah soap is beautiful and would make a great gift) 

PeppyLittleSoapShop: has some very interesting soap designs/scents, also sells some pride designs and offers to custom-make any pride flags they don’t currently offer.

LA Ramen Girl: cute ghost pride pins, donates 10% to the Trevor Project. 

TabKimpton: has a sparkly headstone patch that says CAN’T BURY THIS GAY and I have literally never in my life vibed with something more omg

The Ultra Stealth Gay Christmas Present for Homophobic Relatives

FlambeboyantCandles. 

They have subtle pride-color candles and candles inspired by drag queens. The entire shop is gay as hell and donates a percentage (again idk how much but I believe them) to the Rainbow Railroad, a Canadian organization that helps queer people escape from persecution in other countries. And the candles just look cool and based on the reviews smell quite nice. They are a bit more pricey than some other stuff on this list, about 20 bucks per candle, but I’m willing to pay that price for a once-yearly Gay Rights Stealth Homophobic Relatives Gift. 

((Additionally... not 2 shill but... I also have an etsy and it sells necklaces, mostly cottagecore-themed, I have some cute mushroom pendants, skull beads, fish vertebrae, one design is trans pride themed, hi im trans))
