Chiyo (2024)

This unique kitty is Chiyo (@chiyopurrs )! She is a brown tabby and white cat with a very unique piebald marking pattern. I found her account a few months ago and fell in love with her unique style. Then I had the honor of creating her portrait in my signature vibrant colorful style! Her portrait was painted with acrylics on an 8x10 inch stretched canvas.

My portrait of Jethro the cat!

A little about me since I'm a Tumblr newbie:

I'm a Taiwanese American born and raised in California who always dreamed of being a professional artist.

After pursuing a career as a lawyer and then becoming a stay at home mom of two amazing boys, I discovered the art of toner foiling in May 2021. I drew and foiled my friends' pets and shared them on social media. It blew up into my first business!

Since then, I've expanded to digital paintings (mainly of cats and capybaras) and stickers.

I've also done a lot of charity work with my art:

- Raised $2k for Ukraine

- Fundraised $18k for rescue kitties including Wisp and Tater Tot

- Donated and displayed 18 foiled portraits of Queer Icons for the SF LGBT Center

- Painted a baseball base for the SF Giants' Pride Game

Heey @notanotherblogbyadumbass remember your question? :D So yeah this collection is on the fine line between family au and the default.

The last Goretober painting #3 and Autumn Collection #4! The main headpainting. If they had them hanging on their walls or smth. This artpiece was heavily inspired by Mili's video of Duetting Solo.

The idea for Magnus' role in the Family AU came from his family member status in the band, that died at its birth. But as we've seen in the movie too, Nathan was still upset about it, even blames himself thus the knife symbol, although it was doomed from the beginning (that's why the blood is green more like a rot/puss).

Previous Goretober painting (Toki)

The only reason this one is red is thanks to the goretober colorscheme I've been going with, otherwise we all know Nathan's color, and funfact, this way Magnus' blood is actually red:

I know it's a bit of a heavy topic but art is here to comfort the disturbed, and disturb the comforted, Happy Halloween!

#this also makes Toki into a rainbow baby in the family au #the red in the blue version were simply the tethers tying Nathan and Pickles together as it is emptying out of the tiny body #leaving only green behind in Pickles' pov (top). for me green is Magnus' color bc rgb #as we know Pickles was pretty badass about it later on in the requiem post I wrote about it. so the main painting is about Nathan's grief #as the band-father this is his portrait #the background behind the guts btw is a blackhole ejecting another one or a star I think. I forgor #that being said. Junior (2024)

A colorful pet portrait of a brown tabby cat named Junior in bright rainbow colors. In the original reference photo, he was laying on a white sheepskin blanket. I changed it up a bit and decided to make it look like he was sleeping on multicolored clouds! Acrylics on 12" x 16" stretched canvas.
