Holy moly a rendered drawing!? And it's Flatland!? AND it's sort of gijinka-fied?!?!?!? Crazy.

Drip or drown fellas? Be honest lol.

Okay, so some design choices I wanted to point out and "explain":

A. Square does not look any different because he is peak performance. The whole thing of 2D creatures who live "water" and look like amoebas was too good to tarnish. I kept it simple, gave him some boots to help with gravitational pain n stuff on his feet, and he has glasses cuz I saw some character in the movie with them and I thought it would vibe well. He looks a little older because of them, but whatever. The nerd needs to look like a nerd.

A. Sphere I took so many liberties with. At first, I went with the most basic CEO fit I could come up with, found it boring, gave him a vest and bowtie, cut the bowtie for a normal tie and gave him rainbow suspenders, then gave him the bracelets for funsies. The most consistent thing through all the versions was the analog watch (that he probably can't read lol).

He doesn't really feel like a CEO anymore, but c'mon, in canon he's a gold sphere and the only metallic solid. He's gonna look flashy and extra. It's a given.

Are you reeeally a Flatland fan if you haven't drawn or edited an image of A. Square being yeeted like a frisbee?

I feel like this is a staple, and I found this really amusing stock image that just fit so well.

I made the whole Flatland species friend-shaped. As an OSC person (yes I'm working on stuff related to it give me a sec), I could not see the Flatlanders as anything more than the silly stick limbed creatures of that community.

Spacelanders are different, but that's more so because of how the book refers to them. "Spacelanders" in the book, although the context is probably just different 3D shapes, are addressed as people who have people systems who do people things. So, I designed accordingly. (Also, I did NOT want A. Sphere to look like that one Pacman TV show. I think I would have combusted before finishing if he did.)

These were some doodles I worked with for just looks purposes. The tendrils(?) on their corners are the longest ones on their bodies. Circles have them all mostly uniform cuz they're boring.

and some veeryy specific things I do when drawing squippy are:

the little eye-highlights I give everyone aren't white dots like for everyone else (look at the pictures above to see), but instead are blue-ish ovals (kind of like pills) (at least when I'm not drawing them specifically as a human)

2. the hair-highlights also aren't just random white lines like with 'human characters', but instead blue-white-ish heartbeat pattern (for a lack of a better description (just look at it))

some things from the last couple of days:

the Halloween pumpkins lasted longer than expected but were finally trashed today. I bought a battery powered flasher to try out and it was dimmer than I expected but has three modes and they all look pretty cool. 1 is a yellow candle flicker, 2 is a strobe, and 3 is a rainbow color roll. We always mean to get some votive candles but were stuck with tealights this year that we had to replace often. But I did get a bleeding skull candle both this year and last year that lasted a really long time. So I put the older one in my big pumpkin and it still hasn't burned all the way out

though my mom doesn't often watch tv with my dad and I, I convinced her to check out LOST with us (first time checking out the show beyond its original run. She was cold and I got her an extra blanket and also gave her my old hot topic pacman beanie that I bought a million years ago. LOST somehow feels like a good show to be watching right now. She went to give my beanie back and I told her she can keep it. I also pointed out the little tag on the side that says EAT ME. She laughed.

in general this extremely depressing and unpleasant turn of events is making me want to be better for myself and for others, in all kinds of different ways. I stayed in bed for a while but I watered the plants and did the dishes.

I bought a portable hard drive that was on sale for a great price on the 5th and it showed up on the 6th. I also noticed it went back to its regular price the next day.

I lost 3 more pounds and hit 250!

Cut ties with 2 old work acquaintances I long suspected of having shitty politics. Found out for sure recently.

the night after the election result I had an extremely unsettling dream. In the context of the dream my grandmother (who passed away in 2016) was still alive. I went to her house and it was empty. She was gone. There were basic furnishings but it felt very large and very empty. I got a really terrible feeling that something happened to her. That she had left the house for some unknown reason and left important things behind, making it seem alarming. I searched for her but couldn't find her. And then while sitting in the house, a man came to the door. <Incidentally it was a guy I used to work with around 2001. He was the type of coworker who was a kind of funny casual acquaintance who was always cracking the same stupid joke over and over again. Towards the end of the time I knew that guy, he asked me (after I quit that job) if I wanted to go with him out to some rural type of place to work on some weird job he had information about. The way he described it sounded very sketchy and I avoided him after that.> So he comes to the door and is knocking but I don't want to know what he wants. I don't want him to know I'm there. I don't want him to come into the house.

Yellow – one more summer day in the forest

Pixel art for today based on videogame Fantastic Dizzy for game console Sega MegaDrive. Dizzy – it is a potato. As I get it. Like Pacman, such a circle. And it is very popular game series for computer Zx Spectrum 48k. It is amazing but Dizzy is walking there and he has there a whole adventure. And so, this way he walks up to 16 bit - Sega.

And this is my drawing about the same theme. Yellow today is in excellent mood, he wake up at the tree, at his little house. And start to run and jump. He lives at the trees. And that’s why he likes to jump and run. His adventures always lead him to some places. And at the new place he builds himself a new house.

There are lots of interesting in the forest. And lots of different habitats. You can collect stars. And fruits. And you better avoid little spiders. They are good and kind, of course. But, sometimes, they can bite you. Yellow has a dream to collect all the little stars. And bring them to the sea. And set them into the sea. It will be a very beautiful event. Little stars will start to shine and be bright. And later they start to have a different colors of rainbow. And will swim to somewhere deep into the ocean.

There is always a cool weather in the forest. Birds are singing. And every day – it is a new day of endless summer. Also, you can go as a friend to a crow. Crow also is living at the tree. And very often crow is flying from one place to another. Crow is also a traveler. And she has lots of different houses all over the forest. Also here is living a little owl. But it is hard to find him. He goes out only by nights.

It is said that there is so dark forest that even during the day it is dark there. And those place owl is living. You can go to his place as a guest. And crow to find it is easy. Almost at the end of every forest block. At the surface there are jumping rabbits. And they catch a carrot that are flying in the air. They have their own things to do. Everyone is living here with a fun.

So, it is such a good and kind summer fantasy about simple arcade. About collect and jump.

I understand Escape from Planet Pointy Head

I finally figured out the rest of my PMATGA Dan sequel.

Melody, a yellow one is a black Galaxy heart came to Planet Pointy head 67 years ago. Retrieved a rainbow prisim that the Pointy Heads stole and hid it somewhere safe the planet, and sealed it in a box with a spell that only she can break but she was killed and became a guardian ghost, Pacster found everything out in his dreams while he was in surgery under the knife.

The Overloards sent Pacman and his friends to Planet Pointy head 67 years after the prisim was hidden in hopes that the two worlds would make peace.
