Day #10: White 🧜🏻‍♀️🤍

Aaaah I survived a nasty blackout that lasted 17 hours, but at least I made it in time to finish this series! ;n;

The first mermaid as an aquatic mammal and to highlight that Maika is a beluga, I added baby belugas like the friendly puppies they are! ><

Day #4: Green 🧜🏻‍♀️💚

I know it's not the first time I've done these poses for mermaids (see my Mermay Rin), but anyway, I hope I haven't made a mistake in the anatomy :"3

I have to admit that a dear mutual has helped me with most species of fish this year. And that is why I agree with her for helping me make Nana as a Green wrasse, she really fits well with the green tone of those fish (⁠•u•⁠)⁠♡

Day #7: Purple 🧜🏻‍♀️💜

Like last year, I used the Betta species (specifically speaking, the Rare Magenta Purple Dumbo Betta Fish...what a long name) due to the reduced number of purple fish species. I could have chosen others, but I couldn't find one that completely fit Yukari.

Unlike my Mermay Avanna and Luka, I made Yukari as a sort of marine Sorceress (a good one!).

Day #5: Light Blue 🧜🏻‍♀️🩵

Now that this will be a year-by-year series, this color will change depending on the shade of the Loid (last year it was Teal/Turquoise for Miku).

I had planned to make Koto as a Flying Fish mermaid, but I ended up saving that option for the next MermayLoid, and I chose that the Blue Guppy suits her better. Anyway, I'm very happy to draw this Vocaloid once again <3

Day #9: Black 🧜🏻‍♀️🖤

The vampire squid idea is one I had in store for Fuiro if she had won the poll...

But I must admit that this idea holds up well anyway when giving it to Mayu ^^

Day #3: Yellow 🧜🏻‍♀️💛

Like last year with Meiko and Gumi, Lily as a Moorish Idol was an idea I decided to redraw.

I have to admit that the anatomy of adapting these fish into a mermaid tail was complex, but I admit that it turned out very well 🐠

Day #6: Blue 🧜🏻‍♀️💙

I felt that the Flying Fish species suited a Mermay Lapis well.

Just think about it, a small fish with the ability to fly out of the water in a limited time. As if it were a sea fairy 🧚🏻‍♀️

Day #1: Red 🧜🏻‍♀️❤️

I can finally upload drawings even with such stressful weeks! ಥ⁠_⁠ಥ (I'm at the end of the semester, so that means a lot of homework and exams to do...)

That is why I delayed uploading my Mermay drawings, which a few weeks ago were finalized with polls of the chosen Loids, so have this Iroha as a Crown Squirrelfish mermaid! ;w;

Day #8: Pink 🧜🏻‍♀️🩷

I returned to the concept of Mermaid Betta fish (a black-pink hybrid) as royalty.

Only instead of making IA with that elegant and majestic one, she is a 'weird' princess who loves human artifacts like my concept of Miku Mermay...only in the case of IA, they are garbage things.

You already found out that I didn't make polls for orange mermaids since I had reserved that for Mirai Komachi on her 6th Anniversary 🥲

I understand that of all the VSynths that exist, few care about this Vocaloid. But, I still wanted to contribute something for her (like a large majority of Loids this year ._.xd) and make Mirai as a Female Lyretail Anthias mermaid for this series!

I know very well that Gumi is a Vocaloid that represents the color green, but another 50% also represents orange uu

Day #8: Pink 🧜🏻‍♀️🩷

The day has come...with you, Her Highness Princess Luka!! 💖💖💖

Yep, the answer to who would be the princess in this section was already kind of obvious since it was one of my favorite Vocaloids, predictable, but it was worth including and designing it qwq

Like Avanna, I was based on the Betta fish species again (specifically the Betta Bicolours Butterfly) I don't know, the very large and expanded fin of these fish makes for me very identifiable with mermaids who live as part of royalty. Oh! and let's not forget Tako-Luka, the adorable octopus companion that obviously couldn't be missing here hehehe 🐙🌺

Day #5: Teal/Turquoise 🧜🏻‍♀️🩵

If it were that these colors are not in the Rainbow and Miku is cataloged as a "Blue" character in the polls accounts, I still wanted to include her in this series of drawings! uwu

There are three things that I base for this mermaid design; it is somewhat inspired by the NT design, I wanted it to be the equivalent of the little mermaid attracted to the human world and yes, you will see that it looks like a traditional mermaid, but I based it on the species Chromis Viridis for the design of the tale!! ;3

Day #1: Red 🧜🏻‍♀️❤️

In my old drawings of 2019 I made one with Meiko being a stingray mermaid, and I wanted to adapt it for this series!

As you can see I was highly creative when it came to drawing her, because well, stingrays are not naturally red with black but with this Meiko I wanted to make it as fancifully creative as possible xD
