Hey, y'all! As you might know, I recently moved, downsizing to a smaller place. Unfortunately, that means I don’t have as much room to store my manga collection as I used to, so I’ve decided to sell some of the series that I don’t see myself ever having the desire to reread. What I don’t sell by the end of October will end up on eBay, but for now, you’re getting first dibs. If you’re interested, message me to let me know. (Sorry, the offer is only available to those living in the U.S. All shipping will be media mail through USPS and the shipping cost is already included in the price. Only Paypal accepted.)

A lot of these I bought secondhand myself, so they’ve had at least one other previous owner. I’ll mark those with an *. Most are still in pretty good condition, though, and all series are complete other than “Suppli”, which was cancelled in English before completion. I didn’t post pictures of all these, but I’ll be happy to provide them on request.

Tomoko Taniguchi Collection - This is a collection of mostly one-shot manga by the same author. The included titles are “Let’s Stay Together Forever”, “Miss Me?”, “Aquarium”, “Popcorn Romance”, “Just a Girl” (2 Vols.), and “Call Me Princess”. “Call Me Princess” comes in hardback and is a former library copy. The rest I bought brand new. $30

heard a song on the radio in acapella form (because it’s acapella hour on wers), felt like i somewhat recognized the song but not from hearing it on the radio or anything, so when i got home i looked up the lyrics and listened to the original and now i’m almost less sure i’ve heard it before

if i have, it was from an amv or something (thought it might’ve been a song i’d performed to with the juggling club but that was definitely a different song), but i have absolutely no idea what amv it would’ve been or even what anime the amv would’ve been about, so now i just get to let this song simmer in the back of my head for twenty nine months until it jumps out at me and i have to remember why i was trying to remember where i knew it from

also as a ZLS fan, Lily Hoshikawa being trans seems to be a Western interpretation and not the original intent of the artists. they haven't given confirmation either way but the Japanese fans seem to interpret Lily as a trap, and they have the cultural context for the media, so I'm inclined to trust them over anitubers

First Fandom: I think Kingdom Hearts- but YGO has been the only community I’ve been involved in. I try to keep out of the mix with fan communities most of the time.

Books I’m currently reading: (I am reading a lot of books at the moment) Toxic Parents, Necronomicon, Fool Moon (Dresden Files), Wheels of Life (a book on chakras), and Samurai Strategies. I have others I need to read, but I’m working on those for the moment.

that’s one of the azumanga daioh clips, right? that was a full reference to the rah xephon amv, haha (which i guess gives some independent verification of how famous it was, at least at one time)

It is frou frou, it’s the same band who did euphoria from that rahxephon amv you mentioned. I think that particular song was in garden state too??

ooooh, if it’s the same band i might just be feeling vague recognition feelings because same singer and style and all that jazz - and if that’s the movie it was in i definitely don’t know it from that because i had to look up garden state to tell if it was a movie, let alone me having watched it at any point

since i’ve been talking about it, here’s THE rah xephon amv - apparently made in 2003, which goes to show how much staying power it had, considering i wasn’t into amvs until like 2007 or later
