Moments that highlight the brotherly dynamic between Mordred and Arthur:

1x08: Arthur breaks Mordred out of his cell, telling him not to be scared, he was there to rescue him and return him to his people. He offers his hand and Mordred takes it. They flee through the tunnels.

1x08: Arthur reassures Mordred that Merlin will be there to help them. When it looks like they will soon be found, Arthur draws his sword to defend Mordred if it comes down to it

1x08: Arthur delivers Mordred to the druids. Arthur asks for his name. Mordred tells him his name and Arthur wishes him luck (with dread inducing suspenseful music in the background, gotta love that) Mordred gives Arthur a little smile.

5x01: Mordred keeps Radnor from killing Arthur and Merlin. Mordred helps Arthur to his feet and figures out that he didn't recognize him. He tells him that he saved his life many years ago and Merlin names him. Arthur looks shocked/ confused. Mordred smiles and says "Hello Arthur" the smile drops.

5x02: Mordred brings food over for Merlin and Arthur and Mordred tells Merlin that Arthur saved his life and he owed him a debt

5x02: Arthur does not kill Mordred because "he could not follow us" and "he showed us kindness"

5x02: Mordred stabs Morgana to save Arthur and he carries an unconscious Arthur out of the cave until he finds the knights and passes him over to Percival

5x02: Arthur knights Mordred. They smile at each other

5x05: Arthur and Mordred train. Arthur bests Mordred and helps him to his feet while praising his progress. He gives Mordred advice and seems very impressed and proud of him

5x05: Arthur includes Mordred on the patrol to search for Osgar. Mordred is very enthusiastic and eager. Arthur tells him he earned it and gives him a little slap on the shoulder. Mordred tells Arthur "You won't regret this. I promise." After he leaves, Gwen observes that Arthur has grown fond of him and Arthur confirms this.

5x05: Once Arthur is clued in to the prank the knights are pulling on Mordred, Arthur joins in and poor Mordred is so confused and has no idea he's being messed with.

5x05: Mordred laughs at Arthur’s jokes. Arthur toasts to Mordred and his first successful mission

5x05: Mordred requests that Arthur allows him to go with them to the white mountains. Arthur initially says no, for he has little experience, but Mordred convinces him.

5x05: Mordred jumps in front of the Disir's spear to save Arthur. Arthur is very upset and concerned for Mordred. He holds Mordred's head while Merlin examines the wound. Arthur removes a glove to check Mordred's pulse.

5x05: Arthur sits at Mordreds bed side and is upset when Gaius can't guarantee he will survive.

5x05: Arthur and Merlin return to Camelot and Mordred, alive and fully healed, walks down the steps to greet Arthur with a smile on his face. Arthur is very happy and relieved, grasping Mordred's arm and pulling him into a hug.

5x05: Arthur and Mordred train and Mordred finally bests Arthur in a fight. Arthur picks him up in celebration and Mordred grins

5x09: Mordred was one of two people (the other being Leon) that Arthur trusted with the new levy route. Arthur doesnt tell him why and just asks that he trusts him, which he nods at.

5x09: Mordred finds Arthur brooding and asks if there is any way he can help. Arthur is distracted and when Mordred reminds him that he is always at Arthur's service, he tells him "I never doubted it, Mordred."

5x09: Mordred appears at the top of the cliff with rope and calls down to Arthur. Mordred is smiling and Arthur laughs in relief.

5x09: Arthur fills Mordred in around the camp fire and he apologizes for not confiding in Mordred. Mordred brushes it off saying it was a good thing he hadn't or he won't have followed. Arthur says its good to have Mordred with them.

5x09: Arthur goes to get Mordred saying "I won't leave a knight behind" and Merlin convinces him not to go back because of Morgana.

5x09: Arthur is pleased to see Mordred and clasps his arm in greeting. He says he thought they lost him and Mordred agrees that he thought the same. Arthur questions how he escaped Morgana and he asks him to be serious after he gives a jokey answer.

5x09: Arthur asks Mordred if the Dolma looked familiar and Mordred agrees

5x10: Arthur puts around Mordred's shoulders and leads him away to give him the task of apprehending the sorcerer Gaius tipped him off about

5x10: Arthur isn't happy about the sorcerer getting away but he continues to direct his questions to Mordred, who headed the mission, instead of Leon, the experienced head knight. (Just something I found interesting and I think it points to Arthur still having faith in Mordred despite not catching the sorcerer.)

5x11: Mordred confesses to Arthur that he was the one that helped Kara. He begs that Arthur reconsiders her sentence. Arthur becons for Mordred to get off his knees and puts a hand on his shoulder after Mordred confesses to loving Kara. Arthur looks troubled and regretful as he tells him "you know there's nothing i wouldn't do for you. You're a knight of Camelot. Its a bond we share. But what you ask... this girl, she is a danger..." Mordred vehemently denies this and insists he can change this. Arthur says he can't risk the lives of his citizens regardless of who asks him. Mordred is crying and again begs Arthur to reconsider. Arthur’s voice is quiet and regretful as he tells Mordred that she admitted her guilt and it left him with no option. He apologizes. Mordred leaves, crying and looking numb

5x11: Mordred goes to Arthur's chambers saying he wanted to apologize. Arthur assures him there's no need. Mordred says he hopes Arthur would forgive him. Arthur tells him "I'd never let something like this ruin our friendship." Mordred smiles slightly at that and tells Arthur he will always remember that Arthur took him in and all he had done for him. Arthur says that Mordred has become Arthur’s most loyal of knights. Mordred thanks him, gives him a nod, and leaves. Arthur did not recognize it for what it was: a good bye.

5x11: Mordred begs Arthur to let them go, that he had Mordred's word they would leave Camelot and never return. Arthur remains silent and resilient as he stares back at Mordred.

5x11: Mordred is thrown in a cell and he asks Arthur what hes going to do with him. Arthur doesn't know. He turns and leaves

5x12 deleted scene: Mordred is not entirely comfortable at the prospect of killing Arthur and he says that he believes Arthur to still be a good man and there is still hope for him.

5x13: Arthur is poised to strike a killing blow but he falters when he recognizes his opponent is Mordred. Mordred takes advantage of this hesitation and stabs Arthur. Arthur falls to his knees and Mordred says "You gave me no choice" Arthur surges to his feet and runs Mordred through with his sword. Mordred gives Arthur a deranged smile and collapses to the ground, dead. Arthur looks upset.

Much of Arthur’s dynamic with Mordred through season 5 is very much big brother little brother which makes the fall out in 5x11 that leads to them killing each other in 5x13 so tragic.

- instead of Mac being a cheerleader, she does all of the sports; she's centre in netball, striker in football and bowler in rounders - bc of this she is almost never is school

- veronica does four A-levels and an EPQ (psych, english lit, history and politics) and lives off coffee, she is also friends with all of the humanities department and english department

- martha is grade 8 piano, and everyone uses her to hang out in the practise rooms when its raining

- kurt and ram are never seen without either 1) a football 2) puffer jackets or 3) radnor fizz

- duke is a burntout gifted kid who is on top of her classes but GOD at what cost (she also always brings echo falls wine to motives) and she also does four A-levels (chem, economics, english lit and politics)

- chandler smokes outside the school gates, is ALWAYS told to take her makeup off, her tie is non-existent (so is her skirt) and has a handbag instead of a rucsac

- i firmly believe that, if the heathers went to private school, they would have all gone to the private primary school

- now a list of things jd and veronica constantly argue abt: geography v history, marmite, which flavour crisps are the best (jd likes prawn cocktail), and whether or not they should drink curry sauce

- chandler drinks pink gin and her house is where most parties are, she is never a messy drunk but refuses to hold ppls hair back if they're throwing up

- mac also drinks wine, but can and will shotgun beers and cider, she dances a lot when she's drunk

- veronica and jd will drink anything, they also know all of the bartenders at wetherspoons by their first names (they love jaegerbombs)

- veronica loves doctor who and morgana from merlin was her gay awakening

- also i know chandler isn't straight but to cope with internalised homophobia she's that one girl who shouts 'who's a lesbian is here?' in the changing rooms

Hi! Sorry to bother you but I have nothing to watch: Would you recommend some TV shows to me? That aren't 10 seasons long, please.

hey, anon, i could take you on the familiar spiral of shows that everyone has watched (twice), so let me recommend some that no one ever watched/watches and are either cancelled after one/two seasons or just started (and no one ever talks about them). cause i think it’s a shame and maybe you’ll discover something cool here...

now, anon, you didn’t specify the genre, so i’m just gonna throw here everything. here is my 10 shows, that you might want to check out:

origin (2018, YouTube) - brilliant sci-fi. 10/10 recommend, forever bitter they cancelled it after 1 season natalie tena, tom felton reunited after hp. sen mitsuji being flawless and eye candy. he... he is a lot... like *coughs*

dominion (2014-2015, SyFy) - angels, apocalypse, season 2 is great, so of course they cancelled it. it was a great ride

kings (2009, NBC) - fictional modern day kingdom and david & goliath re-telling. baby sebastian stan, playing gay spoiled prince. no one watched this. no one. and yet it’s probably one of the best shows i’ve ever seen. great soundtrack btw

avenue 5 (2020-, HBO) - surpise surpsise, this one is renewed for season 2! hugh laurie. space ship. there is a main character with a name of karen, who is the quintessential “karen”. mix of the good place and veep in space. love it.

mercy street (2016-2017, PBS) - in case there is too much sci-fi for you, here is a period drama. totally overlooked. you never find it on anyones watchlists from some reason. cancelled after 2 season, civil war and mary elizabeth winstead with josh radnor play the ship

legend of the seeker (2008-2010, ABC) - i don’t even want to talk about this. the betrayal of cancelling this show is still real after 12 years. i don’t think there was fantasy show since then this good (except maybe merlin)

once upon a time in wonderland (2013, ABC) - the overlooked spin off of OUAT, that was actually better, cohesive and they cancelled it after one season. of course. cyrus/alice was the true love. (not the mention super cute)

ravenswood (2013, Freeform) - boy was i upset in 2013. pretty little liars spin off, that was better and more interesting and that’s why they cancelled it. ghosts and past lives? i ate it up.

condor (2018 -, Audience) - 2 seasons and not cancelled. based on ‘three days of condor’ - you know, someone killed people and someone else takes blame and runs. max irons in a spy drama. i dig it.

blood & treasure (2019-, CBS) - you know, how you wish how the mummy never ended and how relic hunters is the best show ever and indiana jones is the best movie and lara croft the best game and... yeah, so this isn’t it, but they try and sofie pernas is hella cute. (fyi, ignore the lexi/danny romance and ship lexi with gwen instead -> it’s better)

Dewi was found as an egg by Sawyl and Finlay near the summit of Mount Snowdon in 2793 BC, along with two other eggs, having been almost turned to stone after remaining there for so many millennia. The two could barely carry all three, but they managed to transport them back to Aberystwyth, where Sawyl had been living, where they were cared for as best as the brothers could manage. After being ‘accidentally’ dropped into a fire by Finlay some years later, the three eggs hatched, Dewi, Brennus, and Elisedd appearing from them, each only being 50 cm long and 30 cm high at that point. Dewi was adorned with bright red scales, Brennus with shiny green, Elisedd with glossy purple.

It was rare that Dewi would ever leave Sawyl’s side, even to go off with Brennus and Elisedd. The other two had equal love for Finlay and Sawyl, but Dewi seemed to have favoured Sawyl out of the two. He was considered the most aggressive out of the three dragons, Brennus and Elisedd seeming almost tame and calm compared to their brother.In lieu of him “accidentally” killing members of the Ordovices, who lived near them, they resolved to make sure he had a rider, hoping it would ‘tame him’. Rhodri ab Ieuan was chosen for this. Although Dewi did not get along with him at first, the two grew to bond with one another, Dewi even beginning to consider him to be almost like a brother to him.

in 36 BC, when the two were sitting atop a mountain, they were surprised by the White Dragon. After trying to shake him, Dewi was forced to engage him in a battle, but the White had the upper hand. He managed to triumph over Dewi, his rider killing Rhodri in the process. After knocking Dewi down to the floor, Llud appeared and offered him mead to help. He left it for the White too, who soon came down to drink as well, his rider boasting about his triumph. The magic in the mead had begun to take ahold of the dragons, however, causing them both to fall into a coma-like state. Lludd then built a cavern around them to house them, in what would become Dinas Emrys.

Dewi and Ainsley slept until 426 AD, when King Vortigern had mistakenly awoken them from their slumber when he was trying to erect a hillfort atop Dinas Emrys. Contrary to the myth, the dragons did not instantly resume their fight; Ainsley had awoken first, leaving Dewi in the cavern in which they had been buried to return to his own home in Yorkshire. Dewi awoke some time later, confused at first over Ainsley’s supposed disappearance, but flew back to where Sawyl was all the same. He had thought to be reuniting with his siblings, but soon found out he was unable to, as they had been killed some century and a half before, by who Sawyl believed to be St George. After being reminded of his ‘duty’ to battle the White, and of Rhodri’s death, Dewi flew over to Yorkshire to engage with the other dragon once again. Resuming the battle between himself and Ainsley, his grief and revenge being the forefront of his mind aided him in winning this battle against the Diafol Gwyn. Having killed Ainsley, Dewi took him back to the cavern, in an attempt to resurrect him, feeling a great level of remorse over his actions. After a week of begging the gods, primarily Arawn and Gwyn ap Nudd, Ainsley returned to life, and Dewi spent his time awake caring for him and ensuring he was as back to health as he could possibly be. The two then both fell asleep alongside one another once more, though Dewi was to wake after only a few years. Seeing that Ainsley was still asleep, he left the cavern on his own, travelling to Sawyl once more. He then lived with him, Morgan, and young Emlyn until 540 AD, whereupon he journeyed back to the cavern to fall asleep once more.

Sleeping until 1288 AD, Dewi then attempted to fly over to where he believed Sawyl was at the time, but was attacked by human hunters on the way over, sustaining great injuries to himself as a result. Landing a few miles out from Machynlleth, Emlyn and Aeron eventually came upon him, who helped to nurse him back to health, though he had to remain in the hills for fear of being seen. This time he was only around for a few years, before he had been drawn back to Radnor Forest due to the magic catching up with him and forcing him to sleep once more.

Being woken up in 1565 AD this time, he found a calling to venture to London this time, his journey taking him to the outskirts of the city. It was there he found out Sawyl was married and living there, though the latter was unaware that Dewi was awake once more. After finding out how Sawyl had been treated in the then-20 year long marriage, Dewi was overcome by rage, burning down the house whilst ensuring Catherine remained within. He was the last thing she saw before she perished within. Almost immediately after this, he journeyed back to Radnor Forest to fall asleep once more.

He managed to sleep until 1999 then, waking up as Sawyl made a usual visit to Dewi’s resting place. This time, however, Dewi found himself waking up in his human form rather than his draconic one. Sawyl managed to instantly take him back to Cardiff and nurse him back to health, also teaching him about what had happened in the 711 years he thought Dewi had been asleep, neglecting to mention what happened between him and Catherine. Dewi moved with Sawyl to Harlech when the man moved there a year later, but remained in Harlech when Sawyl moved to Aberdyfi.

Dewi has lived alone since, still coming to grips with the modern world himself. He enjoys the visits he gets from his family, always welcoming them.

Every once in a while, he’ll shift to a dragon just to get a feel for it once more, always flying up over the North Sea.

Upon learning Ainsley has recently woken, Dewi had become more paranoid and fearful, even despite the fact that they have acted amicably to one another in the past.

Recently, he has become greater friends with Ainsley, finding him to be good company.

In a trip with Ainsley to Llanfair PG, when they stopped off at the cavern, they found a dragon egg, which they have kept with them since. It had always been in the cavern, but due to the levels of hostility between them, they were unable to find it, due to magic placed upon it by Merlin - the only human to remain from that time that is aware of their existence.After finding a calling from the Tylwyth Teg to head to a small lake not far from Dewi’s house, they found Merlin, who appeared to have made the pair admit their feelings for one another. Once they had done so, the egg began to hatch, Ceridwen then entering the world not long after. It took them a few more days to truly admit their feelings, but they were able to do so enough that they got together with one another.
