I've been using the Rad Health Oral Irragator for the last while and it has made my gums so much healthier.
I always hated flossing and would end up skipping doing it daily, but this has made is so much easier.
This one is well priced and works a lot better than some that I have previously used in the past!
Dr. Dar Radfar created it and has their own small business on etsy selling a variety useful dental products. I love supporting small businesses and was so happy to find this product.
You can check out his store here!
and purchase the water flosser here!

Plans. Probably over multiple years:
Wait for my two new left lobe piercings to heal and then find some neat earrings
Then get a double helix piercing (left ear), followed by a conch, then maybe a daith (waiting for each to heal in between so I can manage aftercare in fewer placements. Will probably take at least a year)
Then figure out piercings for right ear. Maybe just mirror the left ear but maybe not. Industrial looks rad but seems troublesome.
Also MAYBE as a birthday present for myself next year, get those custom dental enamel cosmetic fang caps (removable). Maybe just top two canines, maybe also bottom two canines. All entirely finance depending
Also go attend the Sydney Tattoo Expo next year as a research trip to figure out how and/or if I want my tattoo idea done. Dot work? Bold lines or fineline? Colour? What colouring style? And then find an artist and make a booking when appropriate.
Actually properly look into voice training to make my voice just a liiiittle bit deeper than it is. Or maybe decide I don't care but then I'll know
Get a binder both for cosplay reasons and when I feel like wearing one. Wouldn't be daily since I don't really feel gender DYSphoria too much, but some days or in some outfits I feel I would be :D to have it as an option
You know the thing about how queer people have a second self expression agency/coming of age period in their 20s? I think it's hitting me

I just wanna say I love your style. I'm in dental school right now, and I'm trying to go back to my safe haven of drawing (the stresses just keep on comin'). I've dabbled in drawing on my iPad and such, but would you be willing to share what apps you use (or recommend) and your process of creating a complete work?
Whoa!! Dental school! That sounds so rad--I wish you all the best in your studies!! ^__^
Thank you so much for the kind words about my style!! Aaah... It really does make me so happy!! Said it before in the previous ask, but been having some style insecurities lately, so hearing this helps :'D
I've never used an iPad to draw, but I know a lot of people use Procreate! :) Myself, I use Photoshop (thankfully I work in a job that provides it for me for free!), and a Wacom tablet. But if you're in need of some other alternative software, try:
-Krita
-Clip Studio Paint
-Paint Tool Sai
-Fire Alpaca
There are plenty more, but I think these are the more commonly used ones! (:
I'd also be happy to share my process! Maybe I'll upload a video on how I usually draw stuff soon! I think that'd be fun...
Thank you so much for the ask, and I hope you have a ton of fun drawing! <3

got music tagged again, this time by @summerwoodsmoke! i've done this before but there have been new additions to my playlist since then, and so i will do it again and this time include some fun facts :D
rules: you can usually tell a lot about a person by the type of music they listen to. put your playlist on shuffle and list the first 10 songs, and then tag 10 people. no skipping!
Walk Like An Egyptian - The Bangles. This is here because it was one of the songs my dad downloaded to my Very First MP3 Player when i was 8, alongside lots of primary songs and SPAM by Save Ferris, and so it holds fond memories for me :)
Rainbow - Kesha. My fun fact about this song is that i cry every time i sing it but i also feel the need to sing it every time i cry. it's a good song
Pay No Mind - Madeon ft. Passion Pit. First heard in this video which i adore and it's also on one of the official store radio stations at work lol. always makes me happy when it pops up
A Better Version - Jessie Shelton, 36 Questions. I heard this song independent from its source musical and thought it was a self-contained story and also thought it was about lesbians. have never been so disappointed to learn about the involvement of jonathan groff in something i like. like why did he do that to me personally. its now been over a year and ive yet to listen to anything else from this musical. still adore the song to death though
Dental Care - Owl City. I did the math and if adama young truly had been to the dentist a thousand times as he says at the time this song was written, he would have had to go to the dentist almost every single week for his entire life. which i doubt
Bedroom Eyes - The Knocks ft. Studio Killers. fun fact is idk who the knocks are but i like em and i like studio killers and i keep mistyping them as the kocks
The Diary of Jane - Breaking Benjamin. Another nostalgia hit that also just bangs forever. Breaking Benjamin was the definitive band for good songs about the edgy hybrid supersoldier meow meow oc i had with my friends in c. 2013-2017 and with whom we are all to this day just a little obsessed
Nenya - Celestial Aeon Project. this is probably the main source of the 'ethereal' in my ethereal angst gender
Aisling Song - Christen Mooney, The Secret of Kells. i saw the book of kells in person in 2019 and the exhibit also had the poem from which the movie takes the name Pangur-Ban for the cat and it freaking rules
Eclipse - Vivian Roost. Got this song from one of spotify's pride month playlists lol. queer composers ftw. it's rad
and that's all! idk if there were any repeats from last time but uhhhh yeah. who we gonna tag! idk if i will repeat here too lol but we'll see top ten in my activity @obesecamels @keepsbeeeees @just-a-toad @usernamesaresohardimconflicted @justthatspiffy @calciferscurse @crooked-mantis @evenshadowshavestories @roquereptil @herb-princess
go forth and musicy!

Understanding X-Ray Detectors for Digital Radiography: A Comprehensive Guide
Digital radiography (DR) has revolutionized the field of medical imaging, offering enhanced image quality, faster processing times, and reduced radiation exposure compared to traditional film-based systems. At the heart of this technological advancement lies the X-ray detector, a critical component that captures the X-rays passing through the body and converts them into digital images. This blog delves into the world of X-ray detectors for digital radiography, exploring their types, working principles, and the benefits they bring to modern healthcare.
Tumblr media
What Are X-Ray Detectors?
X-ray detectors are devices that capture and convert the X-ray energy emitted from an X-ray source into visible images. These images allow healthcare professionals to diagnose and monitor various medical conditions, ranging from broken bones to complex diseases. In digital radiography, the role of the X-ray detector is crucial as it directly influences the image quality, resolution, and overall efficiency of the imaging process.
Download PDF Brochure
Types of X-Ray Detectors in Digital Radiography
There are several types of X-ray detectors used in digital radiography, each with its unique advantages and applications:
Flat-Panel Detectors (FPDs):
Indirect Conversion Detectors: These detectors use a scintillator to convert X-rays into visible light, which is then detected by photodiodes and converted into electrical signals. Indirect conversion FPDs are widely used in general radiography due to their excellent image quality and relatively low radiation dose.
Direct Conversion Detectors: These detectors directly convert X-ray photons into electrical signals without the intermediate step of light conversion. Made from materials like amorphous selenium, direct conversion FPDs offer higher spatial resolution, making them ideal for applications requiring detailed imaging, such as mammography.
Charged-Coupled Devices (CCDs): CCDs are semiconductor devices that convert X-rays into electrical signals. Though less commonly used than FPDs, CCDs are still prevalent in specific applications like dental imaging. They offer good image quality but are often limited by their smaller size and lower sensitivity compared to FPDs.
Complementary Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor (CMOS) Detectors: CMOS detectors are similar to CCDs but use different technology for capturing and processing X-ray images. CMOS detectors are known for their low power consumption, high speed, and durability. They are increasingly used in various medical imaging applications, including portable X-ray systems.
Photostimulable Phosphor Plates (PSP): Also known as computed radiography (CR) detectors, PSP plates store the X-ray image in a phosphor layer, which is later read out by a laser scanner. Although CR systems are less expensive than FPDs, they are gradually being replaced by more advanced digital radiography technologies due to their slower processing times.
Key Advantages of Digital Radiography with X-Ray Detectors
The transition from traditional film-based radiography to digital radiography has brought numerous benefits, largely due to advancements in X-ray detector technology:
Improved Image Quality: X-ray detectors in digital radiography provide superior image quality with better contrast resolution, enabling more accurate diagnoses.
Reduced Radiation Exposure: Digital X-ray detectors require less radiation to produce high-quality images, which enhances patient safety.
Request Sample Pages
Faster Results: The digital nature of modern X-ray detectors allows for immediate image processing and review, significantly speeding up the diagnostic process.
Enhanced Workflow Efficiency: Digital radiography systems are integrated with Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS), enabling seamless storage, retrieval, and sharing of images within healthcare networks.
Environmentally Friendly: Unlike film-based systems, digital radiography eliminates the need for chemical processing and film storage, reducing environmental impact.
Conclusion
X-ray detectors are the cornerstone of digital radiography, transforming how medical images are captured, processed, and analyzed. With the ongoing advancements in detector technology, digital radiography continues to evolve, offering ever-improving image quality, patient safety, and diagnostic accuracy. As healthcare providers strive to deliver better care, understanding the different types of X-ray detectors and their benefits is essential for making informed decisions in medical imaging.

DOGS WENT TO VET TODAY it went pretty well. Noods did fine and is fine. Ella could stand to lose 2lb or so and one of her canines is cracked!!! So they took some blood to see if she's a good candidate for going under for a dental, since she's getting up there.
Blue, they said her arthritis is really bad. Her knees as well as hips, now. They are having us so adequan injections ourselves 2x a week for a month and then we will see how she is doing and take some knee rads if it doesn't help :( Poor Blue. Our vets are so good though. They're always very kind and helpful and come up with a variety of treatment ideas based on what we can afford
Miss Chop is being Extra Haunted and actually like. Her behavior is impossible to manage right now. Which I haven't talked about bc it's so so stressful. We are now consulting w Sarah Stremming & a veterinary behaviorist AND our local vet to try and find a med cocktail that will help her nervous system regulate itself enough that we can actually work on training in any meaningful way.
Ughhhh. She's such a project dog. I love her so much but it's really more than I can handle most days 😭

Hello!!! Just wanted to say how much I love your fanfiction "Mates", it's def my favorite one in the fandom and I'm always reading it all over again. It's so amazing and well written that I want to cry most of the times! Cam wait for the next chapter haha
Just a question: does Billy or Steve likes David Bowie? I was listening to "Heroes" and I couldn't stop thinking about how fitting that song is for them!!
Anyways, love your work ❤
Thank you! Reading this made a frustratingly unproductive day a little better.
Billy initially pretends he doesn’t like David Bowie, of course, since he’s got this denim-and-leather, ‘Rock You Like a Hurricane’, tough-guy image to consider. He’ll even say bitchy things about him, like “Hasn’t that dude made enough money to afford a little dental work, by now?”  Steve, on the other hand, likes him a lot, even though he really only knows the radio hits and this one cool instrumental track called ‘A New Career in a New Town’ that an ex-girlfriend put on a mixtape for him a hundred years ago.
I like to think that the boys’ tastes rub off on each other the longer they’re together. It’s not immediate; it takes months, maybe even a couple of years. Steve might never grow to understand how anyone could genuinely enjoy thrash metal à la Anthrax and Slayer, which to his pop-accustomed ears sounds more like bottle caps being dropped down a garbage disposal than actual music, but he DOES develop an appreciation for hair metal (he especially approves of Ratt’s ‘Round and Round’ and Saxon’s ‘Bad Boys Like to Rock n’ Roll’). And Billy? He’ll eventually drink too many cans of Schlitz one night and when ‘Space Oddity’ comes on the radio he’ll surprise both Steve and himself by NOT reaching for the tuner knob. Instead, he’ll sit there with heart-eyes listening to Steve, who is at this point tipsy and uninhibited enough to start singing along (he fudges a few of the lyrics but he's got a voice like the Archangel Gabriel, as far as Billy’s concerned). Then Steve will admit that he “used to think ‘Major Tom’ was a Beatles song for, like, an embarrassingly long time” but instead of laughing at him or telling him that he’s got his song titles screwed up again, Billy will just lean over and give him a blow job.
In the summer of 1986 Steve convinces Billy to see ‘Labyrinth’ with him and they both get uncomfortably turned on during all of Bowie’s scenes. Afterwards, Billy grudgingly acknowledges that “the thing he does with the crystal ball is pretty rad, I guess” and Steve begs him to dress up as Jareth the Goblin King for Halloween.
Anyway, yes! Heroes is a great song, too. Many thanks for your kind words :)

You heard about those people claiming to receive radio stations with their dental fillings?
Chop Top obviously doesn't has any fillings, but he thinks he can receive radio stations via his plate! When he suddenly starts to hum a song or says something out of context it's him responding to his plate radio. He can't choose the station, but though he thinks it's rad as hell and is very proud that only he can hear the voices and music! They're completely in his head, just like his thoughts (of course he never wastes a single thought about that it might not be radio he's hearing there). When it started, he asked his brothers to put an ear to his plate and listen, but it hadn't worked, they heard nothing. Drayton tells him his mind has gone to shit completely, Nubbins is extremely jealous and Bubba is very confused.

Online Schooling Advice
Hi all,
I have not been active on this platform in many moons, but I feel like as someone who has ample experience with online distance learning, hybrid learning, and reverse-the-classroom settings, I could give some advice to those who are not as accustomed to this type of school experience. Please be aware that I am NOT an aesthetic blog, its just never been my type of thing to upkeep, and I’m not perfect so these may seem a bit unconventional compared to what other studyblrs are out there saying, but these tips helped me graduate magna cum laude with my associates degree, so maybe they'll be helpful.
1) Find your space.
It can be any space, one that works for you. For myself, I have a desk in my bedroom but I mentally decided long ago that my bedroom would be for sleeping purposes only. My space is the living room couch and coffee table. Albeit not the most ergonomic especially in my career path, but it has worked for me for the past 5 years. Keep it as distraction free as possible. Even though you're at home, your lecturer still demands your 100%.
2) Keep it comfy.
Many people say that to put yourself in a productive mindset, you must not study in your PJ’s; Being in regular clothes will make it less likely that you'll just relax all day and get nothing done. *I think that’s BS* Because if you have the discipline, you can be productive in anything you wear. But if changing into better clothes works for you, by all means do it. But I don’t think sitting for 3 hours of oral pathology lecture in blue jeans made oral pathology any more enjoyable or gave me a heightened sense of focus, compared to when I just showed up to class braless, in a sweatshirt, and in leggings.
3) Pomodoro.
A pomodoro set to any time you want is how I took the last 5 years of college by storm. Some say to schedule your pomodoros for 30-45 minutes with a small break. That doesn't do it for me. If I am taking notes or studying, I’m in it for the long haul. I get really into taking my material at the 20 minute mark, if my pomodoros were 30-45 minutes, I wouldn't get anything done. I set those puppies up for 1 hour plus a 15 minute break. I can get much more done.
4) To Do lists:
To do lists are basically how I kept myself sane when schooling online. I do my to-do lists Dave Ramsey style (a debt snowball style), meaning that you knock off the easiest activities first. For me, say last semester my Sunday to do list looked like this:
-Dental Materials: Vocab Crossword Puzzle(s) -Process of Care: Answer Learning Objectives for Exam 2 -Pre-clinic: Write reflection on how pre-clinic went.  -Radiology: Normal Radiographic Anatomy Study Guide
Then I would rearrange it to whatever was easiest first, and most lengthy down the list.
1) Preclinic reflection. 2) Materials: CW puzzle(s) 3) Rad: Anatomy SG. 4) POC-Objectives.
Do the easier stuff first because if you did it in reverse, you’d be too mentally burnt out to do the easy stuff. It was a good way for me to bang out multiple things in a few hours.
5) Go outside.
This one is a little more risky business with quarantine mandates in place, but you dont need to go downtown for a coffee or hang out with friends, anything like sitting on the porch for a little bit or even going out for a drive in a nice part of town, or going for a walk at a place where not many people check out. I often compare myself to a dog because I need to go out for my daily walks, especially if it is a nice day. I have a visceral need to go out and do something or else no matter how academically productive I was that day, as far as I’m concerned it was a waste of a day. Doing something, anything non-school related to relax is good, it’s healthy, it’s encouraged.
6) Music.
Ironically at my school, the library is treated like a cafeteria. Everyone goes there to hang out, talk, screech, eat, and make a lot of noise. So Ive gotten into the idea of using background noise. Any noise will do if you feel like you can concentrate with it. Coffee shop jazz doesn’t do it for me, but here are a few that I’ve used and they do a great job at helping me focus.
Piano Music: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XULUBg_ZcAU

OPINION: Sanji Might Have The Coolest Anime Introduction Ever
This article written by Daniel Dockery was originally published on March 02, 2020
As anyone that's ever worked as a waiter or cashier can tell you, people will be absolute jerks when they know they can get away with it. I used to work at the concession stand in a movie theater, and it was absolutely bizarre just how often people would try to flex their perceived authority at you, as if I was supposed to treat them like a medieval king because I happened to be the unlucky person filling their popcorn bag that day. Sometimes they'd obviously do it to impress their dates and man, good luck with that. You've got about thirty seconds before your significant other leaves you for someone with actual personality traits.
Tumblr media
I know this all sounds pretty non-anime-related for an anime website, but it's one of the reasons I like Sanji's debut in One Piece so much, a debut that I consider to be a top tier, S-Class introduction to a character. Luffy has just broken part of the Baratie floating restaurant and is tussling with the owner Zeff. Meanwhile, "Double Ironfist" Fullbody is being mean to people outside and inside the Baratie and eventually tries to show up Sanji with his wine knowledge. But when Sanji is around a kitchen, he is in his element, and he leaves Fullbody embarrassed. Already it's good stuff.
But then Fullbody puts a fly in his soup in an effort to display the Baratie as a place with inadequate food preparation. However, Sanji knows that 1) Fullbody is a lying doofus, and 2) The Baratie would definitely get a 100 percent rating from the East Blue health inspector. No flies in the soup there. Fullbody, feeling disgraced twice, smashes a table and then tries to assault Sanji. And so Sanji, master of kickin' stuff, kicks the crap out of Fullbody, leaving him more hamburger than man. In fact, that's how Luffy first sees Sanji—Holding up this dimwit who thought he could be mean to waiters at a restaurant known for its fighting cooks and leave without needing extensive dental work after.

So yeah, maybe I get a little bit of emotional retribution after seeing Sanji stand up to someone like that. But it doesn't make it any less rad. I'm all about characters that aren't gonna take it lightly when blue and pink collar workers get trashed by customers, and I can't wait for the One Piece arc where Sanji begs the Straw Hats to unionize.
