although they weren’t born in greenview, odie was adopted at a young age by a fisherman and his sweet wife; the couple couldn’t conceive a child of their own, and they fell in love with odie from the get-go

they’d always been a free spirit, marching to the beat of their own drum and making their own rules, but the one structured thing about their life that they loved was going out on the boat with their dad; he taught them the family business as soon as odie was old enough to speak in full sentences, and his heart swelled watching them take charge of the ocean and their catches

sometimes their mother would worry about when they were out on the boat, as odie could never get control of their limbs and was always hurting themselves; they have a nasty scar on their palms from an unfortunate encounter with a lobster trap, and they’ll show it off to anyone, and they’ll do it proudly
