I think they definitely might, yes. Stormlight is a fantasy setting, definitely, but Kaladin has a lot of intimate medical knowledge using our-world science and terms.

 I’m thinking if Kal has detailed knowledge about Renarin’s epilepsy, it’s an indicator they would know of autism as well. 

Regardless of whether or not they have a word for it, though, Brandon has confirmed that Renarin is definitely on the autistic spectrum, so it’s canon either way! I am hopeful we get concrete ‘Renarin is autistic’ type confirmation in some of the upcoming books, though.

But yes dear lord he absolutely would and would just absolutely sufferrrr with those soaked towels making it hard to move and getting all lodged and refusing to let his stomach work away the food he shoved in on top of it, and also trapping gas in there too so he can't get any satisfying burps going. Stretched out and moaning and groaning on the floor like a beached whale, all bloated and beeeegging for rubs and attention. Even having others trying to convince him he should just spit it all out, it's not worth it, but he refuses because then the towels would win, and he can't have that.

I know and that's why it's kinda stupid I'm complaining about it but I'm also just...very irritated about it.

But my bro has celiacs so I already know restaurant stuff, although you'd be suprised how many restaurants say they have gluten free options but can't certify that it won't be contaminated or that they don't have a separate place to prevent that--we've actually had to teach sterile practice to a couple local places haha.

Like I know I'll be fine and all I just hate restrictions because I already have a bunch for other reasons. And again, would've been nice to know I had it before being in my 20s because I might actually be taller now if I did.
