I also did not trust Baggs as far as I could throw him at this point, so he came out much more menacing than perhaps needed. 8'D

IT'S WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY, FOLKS!!!!

So, I wanted to post something a bit different!

A common prompt I use with my clients is a positive affirmation jar which is a project in which the client decorates a jar and writes positive affirmation on slips of paper to keep in the jar. In the case that I run out of jars, I make boxes out of paper. A couple weeks ago, I had an idea while and that was to fuse this prompt and Superhero Therapy.

Superhero therapy was initially conceptualized as a form of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy that used superheroes or other characters from media to facilitate the acceptance of oneself and one’s emotions and the commitment to move forward. 

Clients engaging in superhero therapy may be prompted to reflect on their own experiences in life and identify a “superhero” they may relate to or look up to. “Superheroes” don’t have to be the cape-wearing people with superhuman abilities. They can be any characters we find in any media. What defines a “superhero” in superhero therapy is a character that you can relate to on some level and one that possesses strength, wisdom, or other traits you admire. 

Especially when diving into the topic of change, clients might be encouraged to imagine: if that “superhero” showed up at the exact moment you needed them the most, what kind of message would they tell you? This prompt takes that part and creates a physical object that can relay those messages when you need it most. 

Basically, what I did is I thought of characters that I felt I could relate to or look up to. These are my “superheroes”, characters that have strength, wisdom, or another trait that I admire. I drew these characters out and collaged them onto a box.

After the box was done, I wrote short lines that each character might say to me during times when I need encouragement the most. I made sure to label each one so I knew who was talking. I'm still adding some messages, so it's almost "done".

Since I tend to need encouragement the most when I’m at work, I put it in my office!

It was a fun project and I wanted to share it with y’all.

Quick disclaimer, this isn’t therapy nor any kind of substitute for therapy. This is more of a project I did to essentially play-test a prompt. Still, I think other folks could benefit from doing it, too. We’ve all got our own self-defeating thoughts rampaging through our brains and, sometimes, we need a reminder from our inspirations to direct us towards our values. Superhero therapy is a lot about naming and recognizing our unhelpful thoughts as thoughts. Then, we make the commitment by pursuing our values through the characters we admire

Heyy, im looking for a fanfic I lost! It's on ao3, and features a reader who gets kidnapped by the bad sanses. The setting starts with them in a warehouse, the star sanses try and rescue them but fail (?) And reader is prisoner in nms castle. They manage to charm their way out and become a member of the gang. They kind of absorbed nms magic and are able to use it later. Big plot focus was on the fight against xgaster as a team. They also had the sans that hypnotises? Also in the end the twins make up. Reader chooses a new name for themselves? Thanks for your help, I really appreciate it!

Okay so I've been thinking about this scenario for a while now and I want to rant this to someone but my anxious and stammering ass won't let me so I'mma just say it here

There's more that I could think of but those are the main fics that give me this idea (these fics are soooo goooood I just want to *proceeds to eat this fics with aggression*)

5 years, it's been 5 years since the bad sanses decided to give up there 'villainy' and go to this 'rehabilitation' (the star sanses words not theirs) to make a 'better' versions of themselves (again).

Living in this type of life seems..... peaceful as time goes buy but it seems like their progress of being 'good' would be thrown out of the window upon meeting 'you'.

You my dear readers seems to caught the eyes of this group of skeleton monsters that were trying to be a 'good' monsters, could it be because of you're...... beauty? Your kindness? O̶r̶ y̶o̶u̶r̶ 'j̶o̶b̶' t̶h̶a̶t̶ r̶e̶q̶u̶i̶r̶e̶s̶ t̶h̶e̶ e̶x̶a̶c̶t̶ o̶p̶p̶o̶s̶i̶t̶e̶ o̶f̶ w̶h̶a̶t̶ t̶h̶e̶y̶ a̶r̶e̶ t̶r̶y̶i̶n̶g̶ t̶o̶ a̶c̶h̶i̶e̶v̶e̶?̶

Now here's the question that would most likely to questioned themselves in time, would they continue living their ̶B̶o̶r̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶ peaceful life of 'rehabilitation'? Or to finally give in to their urges?

(AHHHHHJNSHXBXB this is written in the most disorganized and just down right confusing way 😭😭😭, yeah but to summarize my scenario it's basically just the bad sanses in rehabilitation to doing good(?) And then they all meet ( ̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶f̶e̶l̶l̶ ̶H̶E̶A̶D̶ ̶o̶v̶e̶r̶ ̶H̶E̶E̶L̶S̶ ̶o̶f̶) a reader who is a mafia leader who does many bad shit and all.

Arrrhggg just imagine the drama, the angst, (the eventual smut) and the eventual fluff and romance owoejebdbd

@wishing-stones I absolutely love your fanfic. The characterization is on-point. The plot is *chefs kiss*. So I just drew Dust based on how you kind of portrayed him in the first few chapters before (spoiler) NM did the severing of worlds and we joined his gang. There will probably be more where that came from. Anyway I’m so excited to keep reading it and can’t believe you wrote it so quickly.

While not specifically in your list of tasks, you are also more than welcome to help out with day-to-day tasks as well, if you see they need doing! Your extra help is always appreciated, although… some of the residents here aren’t always very vocal about their appreciation. It doesn’t bother you much, though. Everyone has their quirks.

Dream hired you after seeing and admiring your work, and you’ve lived in his domain since. You have free room and board and all the time in the world to work on your passions.

You’ve lived here for a few weeks now so you know your way around, despite how big the palace and its surrounding grounds are. You’ve met lots of interesting characters along the way, too! Blue, Adze, Varlet– even Dream himself shows up from time to time in spite of his busy schedule. It’s always flattering when he makes time to see your latest creations.

You don’t have a set work schedule so you decide to spend today exploring. While you don’t need a guide to get around anymore, you can still familiarize yourself with the palace more. Plus, there are certainly places and people you haven’t met yet!
