18. Who are your favorite artists/writers in the community?

WAHHH there's so many!!

in terms of writers, the ones who i really used to ease myself into the ao3 feedism community and who i will consistently read the works of no matter the fandom would be @chubstilinski, @alittlepudge-neverhurtnobody, @superstringtheory, @snacckcident, and caloriebomb, who as far as i know doesn't have a tumblr, or at least one linked to their ao3. all of them are the reason i have an incredible knowledge of trc without having read past the first book (whoops) and even tho most of them don't post super frequently, i reread their stuff all the time! they all definitely influenced my writing big time.

i of course have to shout out my fellow mc/yt writer who also does incredible art, @sinningtamer, who actually has a work inspired by mine that i love and have reread a couple times! sparxwrites on ao3 also has great mc/yt works, and says they have a tumblr in their ao3 profile, but the link is broken for me :( i think i might've interacted with them on here before so hopefully they find me/someone knows their url!

in terms of artists, i love @seenfull, @chonkart, @pubblywub, @soft-fella, @b33t-r00t, @yahtiwakitakos, @nevarroes, and probably a lot more i'm forgetting!

Some ranting about AI art, no apologies needed.

Tumblr is being flooded with AI art of fat bodies, and most of it is frankly bad.

First, it provides a way for blogs and people that are fatphopic and hate fat people a reason to further target us.

Second, it's promoting wildly unrealistic body types. A lot of feedists use this lifestyle to find refugee and healing from body disphoria, eating disorders, low body self-esteem, and seeing shitty art of 1000 pound people being fed by machines is fucked for that.

Third, support actual artists who are making fantastic fat art! Personally, I am a huge fan of @cupcake-witch-with-sprinkles, @es-draws, @thefoolandthehermit, @ebc-art just to name a few artists in the feedist space that blow any AI art out of the fucking water!

If AI art gets you going fine but doesn't support blank blogs, that just posts for like or reblogs and gives nothing back to the community.

That's the reason why I went back to my r00ts: DESIGN. It's much more fun, beautiful, and there's more money to make in UX Research and Product Design, than in infosec...

I feel pity for all the unemployed Defcon attendees, who forgot that to have an impact it's not enough to patch.

You need to be at the core of secure-by-design to make digital/AI/IoT products secure-by-default, in order to provide a safe cyber experience to users.

That's how we can keep the Hacker curiosity alive to keep building knowledge and improve practice: to go beyond the cybersecurity industry walls, to fix things :)
