lyney who, when it turns out his cloak isn’t quite big enough to keep either of you dry, also offers you his umbrella, and twirls it needlessly fancily around before opening it above your head. then, too add to the already over-the-too gesture, he bows and holds out his hand to you. deciding to humour him, you take his hand, and before you can react, he spins you around and pulls you into his arms. (‘the umbrella’s only big enough for one, so we have to be close to each other or else it won’t work!’—that’s what you imagine him saying as he winks at you, tugging you closer by the arm he’s snaked around your waist.)

“do you know any magic tricks to get us dry, by any chance, mr best-magician-in-teyvat?”

he stops to think for a moment. “the burning passion of my love for you should do the trick, no?” he leans in for a kiss, and you playfully bat his face away.

“lyney, please stop. you’re painfully embarrassing.”

he shrugs, settling instead to press his lips to your forehead. his eyes are bright when he pulls away. “it was worth a try.”

i'm kinda bummed kieran never went back to his original hairdo and kept the onion topknot of his edgy phase even when he became friends with the player again

I actually like it! I think it suits him, and shows his growth personally. I think a good compromise would have been like, A mix of his old and new style. But I think his new hair fit's him seeing clearer now, no longer as shy as he used to be, and slowly working on his insecurities( him being more open with himself and other's too). Again, maybe a third hairstyle would have really capped his arc off, but I think what he has works. I felt like completely going back to his old hairstyle would mean Kieran is back to his old self....which isn't true. He's still a bit shy, but no where near how he was before he met the player. Again, third hairstyle, but ah well.

Fun fact! The reason his hair is tie up is bc he wanted to see his battles more clearly, and his hair wouldn't be in the way for that. That line actually made me appreciate his hair more! Carmine was actually calling his hair edgy and he told her why he did his hair like that lol. It was a cute interaction between the two!

I genuinely don’t think he was taken from the zekrom route given that he’s still Present there? (With an eye missing) but I do think he got taken from another reshiram timeline of sorts. or rather bits and pieces of it and then swirled together. basically time-space bullshit lmao

No yeah that's what I meant! Taken from a different Reshiram timeline and placed there. But again, that's still kinda unclear bc he seems to remember dying so. ????? And yeah, or like the bits and pieces of the current timeline and an alt Reshiram timeline. But yeah. Time space bullshit. This is the rebornverse, we should expect this by now-/pos.

I mean I get that’s it’s not the only contributing factor, but I’m curious exactly how much of the shelter dog over-population problem is actually due to poor dog ownership/management vs the housing crisis and economical stress. I’d be willing to bet by investing in social programs that give people the resources they need to care for their pets (cough cough affordable and free housing cough cough) that the amount of pets in shelters would dramatically drop. We can all sit here pointing fingers and screaming at each other until we are blue in the face, but if the owners basic needs are not being met, how can we hold them to a basic standard for their pets?

"Wyll is boring" he is the personification of daddy issues. he hides away at a beach TWICE and leaving the tav to go find him because he's not used to having people around who care abt him. he's been running around the sword coast for seven years just killing things and saving people because he got EXILED and chose to prove himself to his father and just help others. he spends his time training kids how to defend themselves. you find out his dad is the ARCHDUKE of Baldur's Gate. he almost drowned once trying to find mermaids. he has a literal devil haunting him that watches his every move. He managed to stop an entire cult of Tiamat AT AGE 17!!!!!!! he loves clowns.

Wyll isn't boring, ppl just haven't taken the time to explore his story and it SHOWS

I like that when Kieran finally realizes he messed up and decides to prove himself and fix the problem he caused, the little reflections in his eyes come back. It's a small and subtle detail but it says a lot.

Also if I recall correctly the same thing happens to Bede in SwSh after he becomes the new Fairy-type gym leader? His eyes become brighter and more lively.

I think Kieran finally snapping out of the abyss that was his own self doubt and loathing and finally deciding to help the player was one of my favorite parts of Indigo Disk. My favorite being when he asks if the player and him can start over and he friends :')

Bede is way too prideful to do that, but that doesn't mean I don't think he's trying. He's definitely a bit more kinder/ trying his best to not let that ego of his take over. At least that's how I see it. Also yes, his eyes did become more likely after he started to train under opal and become a gym leader.

I think the theme here is that part of growing up you will fuck up. Bad. But it's a matter of what you do after that and how you're able to grow from it. And I just think that's neat :)

Pre main story i don't think so. Xavier isn't really close to Nora ( she never liked him, he didn't really care about her).

During and post main story, the trio I feel are particularly close to Harmony! I imagine her to be the one that checks up on everyone as often as she can, and plays a part in Damian's recovery! So needless to say, she's one of the kids emergency contacts lol. Anastasia knows Harmony, but she's like the wine aunt to Harmony's mother figure. Adam being Yancy's dad kinda makes Nora and Damian get closer to him by default ( they all like crashing in his man cave to play video games)

Outside of that eeeeeeh hard to really say.

I'm not sure if East lives or not in this au. I want him to tbh, but worry that will lessen the severity of Jaern's actions. His relationship with the trio really depends if he ends up living again.

Diana you would think would be closer to the trio but I don't think she really is? Mainly bc they worked together for that little amount of time ( and within that time her boyfriend died so).

Soooo yeah. It's mostly Adam and Harmony that the trio as a whole are closest to.
