Quite honestly, Byakuya had been in Stella City for a few days now. Having narrowly avoided confrontation with the sound of a certain famous singer, he waded his way through this unfamiliar place in search of information (and distraction). If Byakuya, genius prodigy, had learned anything from his past -- with this having been emphasized by Celestia Ludenberg and the Killing School Life specifically -- then it was the fact one had to adapt to a situation in order to survive.

Which is why Byakuya found himself frequently in Lollipop Library, browsing through books, mentally swimming through the amassed amount of knowledge that was available in this particular public institute. He had been rather efficient with his exploration. Notebook in hand, notes were taken of topics and certain pages that were of interest, while his eyes scanned the pages he flipped through. It was like he had been nothing but a machine lately.

Once done with his daily tasks in the library, Byakuya took the books he gathered and walked up to the front desk. As he dropped his books on the counter, he expected a sheep to meet his gaze once again, but he was met with the sight of a familiar short brunet instead. It was a pleasant surprise.

“So you are really lucky after all.” He teased, a smirk slowly gracing his own features. “How fortunate for you, that we run each other here.”

Kiibo had gone out today in search of answers, but had found himself distracted by something rather quickly. He was standing in front of a bakery, longingly staring at all the delicacies on display behind the glass. The cakes, pies, pastries, cookies and even the bread looked incredibly... appetizing? Kiibo wasn’t quite sure if that was a word he could use because he never had had an appetite, but how he longed to eat something as beautiful and carefully put together as the food this bakery was selling.

“...............So this is pining.”

Despite knowing now, without any uncertainty - that the girl he kept such a close eye on, Arle, was not here - Schezo felt that to not take in the sights and strange modern things of this world would be foolish. After all, they may help a great deal in his training and continued sparring: it wouldn’t do to have Arle come here and catch him unaware from behind, goodness no.

Right now, he was looking at a curious magic item indeed: a strange object that flipped open and closed, with a black screen that could potentially summon the darkest of monsters from within it’s cavernous portal, and a bunch of strange symbols of letters and numbers in squares below. Apparently, according to the price tag, it was a ‘mobhile phione’? This indeed was an advanced summoning device.

“What secrets could you possibly obtain? Whisper sweet nothings of your power to me, summoning item.”

Gently shaking the ‘phione’ the sheep had handed him to look at, it seemed very mysterious about withholding it’s secrets from him. Thankfully for the sheep, something sent the dark mage reeling, forgetting to shake the phone. T-this...this powerful aura: it was like an ultimate level of prowess.

There was no denying it: it was coming from an owner of Light magic. Light magic ran strongest on positive feelings like he seemed to be sensing, after all. Was the light magic coming from this portal?!

“Ah...w-what are you?”

His eyes were wide in surprise and shock at how potent the aura he was picking up on seemed to be. Of course, he didn’t seem to realize that he was talking to a phone for no reason and what he sensed was coming from another customer nearby, yet. Socially adept, he was not.

“Someone I hold dear?” Hakuno didn’t expect the question, but it was something that hit an aching she’s had since she’s arrived in Stella City, one that hasn’t quite been quelled, perhaps never will. “Yes, there are several people I hold dear. I...honestly miss them a lot. I wish to see them again, even the ones who are no longer with us. The beautiful women and noble men who stood with me, either by my side or against me....I wanted to explore a beautiful world in the moon with them...”

Hakuno noticed she was starting to tear up, and quickly wiped her faces with a impromptu brushing off motion. “Sorry, you probably didn’t want to hear me ramble or anything. Um...let’s see, I try not to play favorates but there is one particular person I hold most dear, if that answers your question.”

     don’t ever lose hope, happiness, kindness, anything of the like, okay?

     It seemed like such a simple promise, but it felt like there was more weight behind the words than she knew. Alyssa was probably missing something; something big, wasn’t she? But she wasn’t the type to pry, especially if it was something painful that caused Makoto to say these words.

     It wasn’t her place to know, right now or maybe ever really, but she could promise that, couldn’t she? If it would help him, then she could do that. It was something she didn’t want to lose sight of ever herself, so she could promise that. She wasn’t the type of person to turn someone down, especially if there was something she could do to help them.

     So she would promise that.

     Alyssa wrapped her pinky around his, giving it a gentle squeeze before looking at him. A small smile graced her lips and the soft, gentle look in her eyes showed that she was taking this seriously.

     “Alright, it’s a promise. A promise between me and you, okay? I won’t lose sight of it, no matter what.”

Aru did not know where the shriek of terror came from, but as soon as it reached her ears she sprang into action, dashing in the direction of the screaming as quickly as her legs would take her. Arriving at the edge of the Liquorice Bridge, she found the source, a startled yet firm teenage boy starring down below.

“What’s wrong? Are you OK? What happened?”

Looking down to what the boy was reacting to, she saw what she could only describe as a malevolent ball of fluff. Oh dear.

Turning back to the boy, she shot him a thumbs up and attempted to give a reassuring smile. “Don’t worry, that thing should be harmless. After all, it’s down there and we are up here, right? If worse comes to worst, I can serve as a distraction for you.”

Hello, lovely mods! Since we had a question a few days back about television series and movies within our setting, what can you tell us about music? Would people in Stella City have access to the same music that we can find worldwide or would it have some tweaks of its own? Thank you in advance!

Heya heya!

When it comes to music, there seems to be a vast variety from many different places! That one summer hit you kept hearing on the radio? Yep, you guessed it- totally popular in Stella City as well! Other than the original song, some real popular hits have their own Stella City baarodies as well. 

Sheep make music, too, however, so there are some Stella City eweriginals as well! As there is no language barrier in Stella City, even the sheep’s bleating in the songs will be understood by you.

Sometimes, however… Some songs are suddenly very hard to find. Songs that reference historical events of different worlds (or, uhm, series) are impossible to come by, for whatever reason, as are songs that contain any in-world information that is specific to the series it originates from.

We hope this answered your question! Just as with the TV shows, feel free to come up with some popular hit song parodies of your own!

🌲= My muse’s favourite season

Before coming to Stella City, Hakuno hasn’t really...experienced seasons properly before, just climates and settings with variance in temperature and weather between them based on factors she was unaware of. However since arriving in February and living through winter, spring, and summer, she would probably say she enjoys spring the most.

🦁= My muse’s favourite animal

Foxes, though that may be because someone close to her would get jealous if she said otherwise but she does enjoy the little creatures. She is also very fond of cats.

🌨= Something my muse does on a snowy day

She’d like to stay home and just bundle up with a good book, but the facilities of the Moonpie Motel are hardly equipped for that really. Instead, she’d trek her way to the library and spend the day buried in reading there.
