And⊠Action?
[Colt Seavers x Actress!Reader]
Synopsis: In which a minor⊠stunt caused the meeting of the stuntman himself who always seemed too busy, too focused, and too far away {GIF Creds: fleursial}
WC: 1121
Category: Mega Fluff, Suggestive Ending?
Why is there still so little of Colt?? I donât understand it đ
ăâąâąââąâąă
It wasnât unusual for you to find yourself staring at Colt Seavers from across the set. You liked him, liked the mysterious presence he displayed. Sure, half of it was because you never had the courage to approach him, despite how friendly he was with the rest of the cast and crew, but he always seemed so busy. Plus, your character never needed to interact with the stunt crew so you didnât have a reason to walk across the lot. And even if you had, your scenes wouldnât have lasted more than a few minutes anyway.
However, when the very last scene of the day was called, everything changed for the better. You were moments away from leaving the set, having already said goodbye to almost everyone else, with the feeling you weren't going to see Seaver ever again.
Until he bumped into you, quite literally.
You let out a surprised gasp, almost dropping your script as you stumbled backward, but a pair of strong hands were quick to steady you by your arms.
"I am so sorry, miss⊠woah," he said as he looked down at you, taking in your face for the first time, his hands still resting on your upper arms. You felt yourself go red, suddenly unable to look him in the eye and instead opting for looking anywhere but.
"No, no, it was my fault; I should have watched where I was going," you said.
He shook his head and released his hold on you. "Youâre⊠man, you are really beautiful," he said.
"What?" you asked, surprised.
"I meanâuh, you were really beautiful⊠out there! On set, you know," he corrected himself, and you swore you saw a faint blush form across his cheeks.
You bit your lip and finally found the courage to meet his gaze. "I appreciate the compliment."
"Yeah, no problem. How come Iâve never seen you around here before?" he asked, crossing his arms and tilting his head in curiosity.
That right there⊠it took everything in you not to melt right then and there. You could see the indentations of his biceps from under his tight-fitted jacket, the arm cross just amplifying them. It didn't help that you also just barely came up to his chest, which, while intimidating, also made him all the more attractive.
You swallowed thickly and averted your eyes. "Well, I never needed a stunt double, soâŠ" you trailed off.
"Yeah, thatâs fair. Totally get it, yeah." He clicked his tongue and nodded, looking away momentarily. Before you could turn to see what he was looking at, he squinted, looking back down at you. His hand peeled away from his arm to hover in front of you.
"Colt," he said, extending his hand. "Name's Colt Seavers⊠Iâm kind of a big deal around here. You know, doing car crashing, rope climbing, cliff-diving stuff," he explained with a smirk.
You let out a small, quiet giggle as you reached for his hand, giving it a shake as you stated your own name. His hand was big, rough, and calloused, no doubt from years of hard work and training, but it was warm. A strong grip, but ever so gentle.
"I, uh, do the acting stuff." You repeated his words, and his smirk broke into a smile, one that nearly took your breath away.
It was then, looking at his smile, that you realized the opportunity before you.
You had to say something, had to tell him, and you weren't about to let this opportunity pass.
"I think you're pretty beautiful, too," you said, and that caught his attention, his eyebrows raising.
"You do?"
"Yes," you confirmed with a nod. "Out there⊠on set, I mean."
He let out a short laugh, his hands moving back to his pockets. He was sort of swaying, almost as if he wasnât sure what to do, what to say. It was adorable.
Alright, you needed to do something. The fear of letting another moment like this go to waste was far too much. So many guys had slipped through your fingers because of your hesitanceâa real shame, too, considering how most of them werenât even remotely attractive.
But Colt, thoughâŠ
"Listen, um⊠maybe I'm jumping the gun here, but would you like toâ"
"Yes," his answer was nothing short of immediate. âAbsolutely, yes⊠yeah hundred percent, yeah- yes⊠yes."
It took him a second, took him a long second, to realize you hadnât even finished your question. His eyes went wide as fear evidently started to creep in.
"Shit, uh- sorry. Yeah, uh⊠yeah, I'm listening. You can keep going." He motioned with his hand for you to continue, and you had to suppress a smile.
Well, this is definitely promising.
"Maybe we could hang out sometime? Have dinner or something?" you suggested.
"Dinner, yeah- dinner is good. Dinner is⊠great. I love dinner. Dinner is, uh⊠dinner is great," he stammered, and you couldn't help but give him a small laugh, one that was cut off when his eyes went wide yet again.
"Sorry, I'm just⊠yeah, sorry, I'm just- I'm gonna⊠hey, can I get your number?" His question was followed by him digging into his pocket and pulling out his cell phone, which was cracked beyond belief. âNot so I can bother you or anything, not that I would- I mean unless you wanted me to bother you, I guess, which- no, sorry. Just, like, text you, I guess, yeah.â
Your eyes went wide at the state of his phone. "How does that even work?"
"I'm a pro. Just a quick swipe to the left and a few presses, and it works fine, see?" He tapped the screen a few times before opening his contacts, and he handed the phone to you. "Here."
"You know what? I'll just put it in my phone if that's okay," you said.
"Oh, yeah, yeah- absolutely," he said, nodding. "Whatever makes you feel comfortable, yeah."
You quickly punched in his numbers and sent a text, a small, simple message. One that escalated to where you were now, weeks after that dinner, his hands roaming your body as he pressed you against the door of your new and current trailer.
You shouldâve known you werenât going to run lines that day.
A stuntman running lines?
Yeah, right. He runs through scenes instead, and⊠this was definitely a scene.
God, how ready you were for that first take to start.
[@kcisahoe + @adeesthetic] Since you guys asked so nicely, hereâs another Colt fic!! There needs to be way more out there because heâs just so⊠đ€đ€
For all you Tom lovers out there, donât worry!! I didnât forget about you. Heâs in the works so Iâm praying my work/study schedule aligns with me finishing it đ

PLSS DO prompt 3 and 26 with Megumi đ«¶đœđ«¶đœđ«¶đœđ«¶đœ
my favs yes. yes. yes. also threw in 53 :3 3: Drunk/Sloppy Kiss 26: Jealous Kiss 53: Against A Wall Kiss
**aged up characters!!** ___
megumi didn't get jealous, to make one thing perfectly clear. it was a silly insecurity that he had no business to feel. especially seeing as you weren't his to be jealous of. you were your own person, you could talk to, flirt with, hang out with whoever you so pleased.
what was he supposed to do? walk over to where you were talking to one of yuuji's friends, tell you that you weren't allowed to talk to him, and whisk you off to ensure that for the rest of the night, your attention would be on him and only him? that was pathetic. no, worse, that was toxic.
but from his spot on the couch, he could see clearly through the crowd of people at this lame house party that you actually seemed... happy. whoever this guy was, you seemed to be enjoying yourself. smiling, laughing, leaning in close to hear what he had to say when the music got a little too loud. he took a swig of his drink, barely even wincing as the bitter liquid went down. he wasn't normally a drinker, he usually only came to these things because you asked him too.
(yuuji and nobara did too, but it was only when you'd latch onto his arm and tell him how much fun he'd have. you'd give him your best pouting face and it was actually quite terrible but he was so amused by it and so enamored by you that he'd give into anything you asked)
and now here he was, with a nearly passed out yuuji on the sofa behind him, nobara was off dancing with a bunch of strangers, and you were chatting with this... guy.
"hey," megumi gently prodded the side of yuuji's head until the boy's eyes fluttered, displaying at least a little consciousness. "who's that guy?"
"heh?" yuuji squinted one eye open, keeping the other closed for some semblance of darkness to sleep through.
the party was in full swing, with flashing colors from the led strips all around the house, the music blasting was heavy in bass, and anyone talking had to holler to hear one another. and yet, yuuji cursed megumi for disturbing his rest.
"that guy," megumi repeats, nodding his head to where you were. "who is that?"
"talking to (y/n/n)?" yuuji rubbed the back of his head as he tried to focus his vision on you. "woah, she likes him, huh?" he let out a whistle as he watched the way your body language said more than he needed to know.
megumi's teeth grit as he glared back at his friend.
"that's todd. or tom. might be tom. thomas sounds right," yuuji struggled to put a name to the guy's face, and shrugs his shoulders. "think we had a couple classes together. don't remember him much. think he was nice though"
"you think he was nice?" megumi's brows furrow in displeasure. he casts another glance towards you.
this time, you catch his gaze, and you send him a beam as your eyes meet, but the moment is short lived, as you're turning back to todd or tom.
"i dunno," yuuji yawned, stretching his arms about his head as he settled back into the couch cushion. "(y/n/n's) fine though. so if you're so jealous, you should probably just do something about it"
" 's not like that" megumi mumbles, deciding to turn around and face forward on the sofa so he didn't have to watch you flirt and be flirted with any longer.
"i think it's kinda like that" yuuji's head rolls to it's side so he can give his friend a look.
megumi frowns, but doesn't say anything else on the matter. he'd like to go home now, but he can't ditch any of you. so he figures it's a night of pouting on this couch with only alcohol to soothe him.
yuuji's head falls to his shoulder, and his soft snoring is audible.
alcohol and yuuji, he corrects himself mentally.
before he can get too lost in his bitter thoughts, a pair of hands plant themselves on his shoulders from behind, and he tilts his head back to see none other than you leaning over the back of the couch, grinning down at him.
"want me to save you?" you tease, eyes flickering over to the sleeping yuuji.
megumi smiles at how you even look pretty when he's looking at you upside down.
"please" he replies, and you sound the couch, only to gab him by the arm and insist he follow you.
"good, cause i missed you. i wondered where you went" you told him as he carefully got up in the hopes of not waking up your sleeping friend. you both chuckle as yuuji seemingly has no issue staying asleep.
you have a drink in one hand and the other is wrapped around megumi's elbow in order to keep him close while you guide him through the crowded house.
"what was this party for again?" megumi asks, tossing his empty cup into a trash as you walked past. there were countless cups among the mess of the floors already, but he just couldn't bring himself to abandon his trash like that, even if he was intoxicated.
"i think it was someone's birthday," you ponder as you pull him into the kitchen so you can both make a fresh drink. "originally, anyways," you continue as you shovel ice into two cups. "but word got around it was at a big house, someone said they could get booze, and now here we are"
you loosely gesture to the crowded, trashed space around you. talk about crashing a party, megumi thinks. he can smell the tobacco and pot in the air, and judging by all the trash on the ground, whosever birthday it was, would surely have one hell of a morning tomorrow.
when he looks back at you, you hand him one of the cups with a sweet smile, before taking the other for yourself.
"are you having a good time?" you ask, leaning your back into the counter as you take a tentative sip of your drink. it might've been a little stronger than your last, but you could use some liquid courage.
"yeah, one friend passed out on me and the others ditched me to go find hookups" megumi replied honestly.
you gape at him in mock offense.
"i did not go looking for a hookup!" you argue, smacking your free hand against his chest. "what made you think that?"
"i dunno, probably that guy you were flirting with" he replies. he's smirking at you partially because a blush is starting to bloom across your cheeks, but his lip twitches with some other emotion you don't recognize on him.
"ted?" you laugh, and megumi's brow furrows.
"so you admit to flirting with him?" he asks, raising his cup to take a long drink.
"i admit to no such thing!" you laugh at him while you shake your head. "i was friends with his sister in grade school, he was telling me about how she's studying abroad in france right now," you explain, before raising a brow at him. "not that i owe you an explanation," you add, leaning in closer to him and tilting your head. "but if you're so jealous you must know, that is all we talked about"
"tch," the alcohol in his system was strong enough that it gave him the confidence to hold your stare. "so he was flirting with you then?"
you pause for a moment, unsure of what to tell him. truthfully? yeah, ted tried to lay some lines on you. did you respond to it? no, but he wasn't a creep, and you didn't really care.
"maybe" you shrug a shoulder, your eyes locked on his, trying to read the odd expression he wore.
megumi had never shown any signs of jealousy. he'd never said anything to you to make you think it would bother him if you were flirting with anyone. and you did find it a little funny, because he was so irritated and reserved all the time that you didn't think he could feel pesky things like jealousy.
but on the other hand... it excited you.
megumi was clearly annoyed that you were giving your attention to that guy, and whatever his reasoning was, it had your heart racing with anticipation to figure it out.
"but it's a party," you speak again. "a lot of people come here just to flirt and find a hookup"
"that so?" megumi raises a brow at you.
so with a puff of your chest and a bright smile, you nod back at him.
"it is," you confirm. "in fact i think i'll go chat with him some more" you declare, and megumi rolls his eyes, calling your bluff.
but sure enough you're heading off towards ted again, a saunter in your hips and a gleam in your eye as you approach him. megumi stands in the kitchen, his hand tense around his drink, keeping a watchful glare on the two of you.
he can't hear what's being said, but he can read body language pretty well. so once you're giggling and laying your hand on ted's arm, he's decided he's had enough of the little charade.
next thing he knows he's throwing back the rest of his drink and stalking over to the both of you.
upon his approach you give him a pretty smile, but ted completely pales as he watches the taller, angry looking boy come to stand behind you, his hand wrapping around your hip and pulling you into him in one fluid motion.
"megumi!" you cheer as though you hadn't seen him all night. your eyes hadn't left him since he'd approached you, but he didn't notice. his eyes were too focused on ted.
he bore no expression, but somehow it was worse than a nasty glare. ted winced at your new company.
"megumi, this is ted," you introduce, pretending to ignore the awkward tension that had just been created. "ted, megumi" you finish, gesturing between them.
"uh, hi-" ted sticks his hand out in an attempt to be polite, or maybe just to diffuse the tension, but megumi's pulling you away without a word, leaving the man standing alone with his hand still outstretched.
his stride is fast as he practically drags you alongside him. you're not sure where he's taking you, but you don't protest in the slightest as you follow along.
"well i thought he was nice" you remark, a coy smile curling on your lips.
"you're being ridiculous," megumi mutters, finally stopping you both in a hallway that wasn't as crowded as the rest of the house, so you could at least hear each other speak. "is that why you wanted me to come? so you could walk around and- and-"
"make you jealous?"
you lean back against the wall, folding your hands behind your back as you grin up at him.
"i'm not jealous" megumi rolls his eyes.
"you dragged me off like you were jealous" you shrug nonchalantly.
"well i wasn't"
"and if he gave me his number?" you tested, tilting your head at him challengingly. "would you still not be jealous?"
"he didn't" megumi replies as casually as he could.
"but if he had?" you ask, leaning on the tips of your toes to be closer to him, just to make your point. you watch as his eyes flicker between your own, then down to your lips, then back to your eyes.
he turns to look away, but just to his luck, there's ted, standing just across the room, and his eyes are perfectly glued to you. that is, until they see megumi's caught him red handed, and suddenly he's interested in the floorboards.
megumi scoffs, shaking his head, before looking back down to you.
you're still trying to be a tease, and he's about had enough of this whole party.
his hands are firm as he places them against the wall on either side of your head, leaning over you and caging you in quickly, just to make his point.
your eyes are wide now as you watch him, curious to see what he'd do next, your heart racing in your chest.
"he's still watching you," he mutters, lowly, and with more bitterness than you've ever heard him speak with before. your brows crinkle, starting to feel just a little bad for upsetting megumi this much.
you thought it'd be fun to mess with him just a little, maybe in the hopes of getting him to flirt with you a little bit, but you'd never imagined he'd react like this.
"you're here with me, and he's still got his eyes on you"
you offer him a small smile at his words, and then you're reaching out to him, your arms hanging loosely over his shoulders, before you bring your hands into his hair. your movements are slow as you begin to curl an unruly strand of hair around your fingers.
you draw closer to him, so close your nose almost collides with his, and your breathing is a little shaky against his lips before you speak.
"and i'm here with you" you repeat his words back to him softly.
megumi's eyes flicker between yours wildly, as this was completely new territory for the two of you. in a huff, he turns his head to see if your shadow is still lingering across the room, but you're quick to take hold of his chin between your thumb and forefinger, turning his attention back to you.
he licks his lips nervously.
once you're the center of his focus again, a small smile lifts on your lips, before you're tilting forward and capturing his lips in a soft kiss.
it's quick, over just as soon as it began, but it leaves him bewildered, wide eyed as you pull away and stand flat again. only a second passes before he's seizing forward to kiss you again, his hands coming off the wall to hold the back of your head, fingers tangling into your hair as your lips meet his passionately, and a bit drunkenly.
you forget your surroundings completely as you pull him against you until your back is against the wall and he's completely pressed into you. still, you continue to tug and pull him closer as your lips map each other out sloppily. you're panting in between them, both of your hands flying about, wanting to touch and grab at every part of each other you could reach.
had you been sober, you would have been so embarrassed by this public display, but the thought doesn't even cross your mind. in fact, you hum in utter delight as megumi eventually wraps his hands under your thighs, and lifts you against the wall so that you were at an even height with him, making it easier to kiss you. ithe house may have been stuffy, but his body is hot against yours in a way you enjoy just a little too much.
"i didn't know you got so jealous," you sigh out while megumi unashamedly begins to kiss down the column of your throat. "we should-" you're cut off by your own lack of your breath as his mouth works delicately over the full explains of your throat. "we should go to parties more often"
"absolutely fucking not" megumi mutters into your skin, but he seems to relax again as you comb your hands into his hair, tilting his head back and admiring how swollen his lips look.
you smile at him lazily before you're drawn together like a magnet and your lips are crashing together again. your hands are moving so wildly through his hair it's somehow more messed up than normal, and you both delight in the feeling.
"oh shit," a familiar voice snaps you both out of your lust-blinded haze, and you release megumi's bottom lip from your teeth with an audible pop! as you both turn to see nobara standing (well, staggering) before you.
she let's out a giggle of amusement, her eyes crinkling and her grin drunken.
"i didn't know you guys were together?" her words are slurred, but she doesn't seem all that shocked, or weirded out to catch her friends furiously making out with each other.
"uh... surprise?" you say weakly, adjusting one of your legs around megumi's hip to get more comfortable.
nobara nods, and gives you wobbly thumbs up.
"yuuji's asleep on the lawn," she tells you the reason she'd come looking for you both. "i'm gettin' us water and snacks for the walk back. meet out there in ten?"
"uh," megumi blinks rapidly to try and clear his mind enough to understand the new information and plan. "yeah, yeah that's fine"
"a'ight, see you out there lovebirds" nobara clicks her tongue and then disappears in search of the sustenance.
you and megumi turn back to each other, frozen for a moment before breaking out into grins and laughter.
"so, ten more minutes?" you suggest.
"yep"
his grip under your legs tightens as your lips meet again, this time even more hurried than the last, since you had a passed out friend to carry home soon. ___

14 - Foreshadowing
But always, just as he was about to fall asleep, the other, darker thoughts came creeping back, and made him afraid to close his eyes. Finally he did sleep â a shallow doze filled with nightmares. He was back in Sheba's hut. But now its four walls were made of rock, dripping with water and slime. And Sheba was huge, her nose long and pointed, her hair greasy grey tails swinging like thick ropes around her grinning face, her eyes red and piercing. Strong Jonn and his mother stood there with him, but they made no move to help as the Witch bent towards him, closer and closer, till her face was all he could see and her breath scalded his cheeks. "If you are the only one afraid, skinny rabbit, you are the only one with sense," she croaked. And she opened her mouth to scream with laughter, but she had no tongue, and the inside of her mouth was as yellow and smooth as cheese. ROWAN OF RIN Ch 3 The Heroes
i was planning on doing one of sheba's prophesies because those are always đđ idk theres something so fun and i guess also satisfying about having a cryptic riddle foretelling the future and having it slowly unfold over the course of the story
the fate's hand prophesy in Zebak is probably my favourite because i looooove the symbolism of the group as the hand and also what a cast of characters đđ
the plot arch of Travellers is also one of my favourites and big fan of the secret enemy prophesy too. big fan of all the themes of change to embody metamorphosis throughout the whole story!!!
i just did a maris art so i didn't want to use the prophesy in Keeper of the Crystal and honestly when i chose sheba i honestly was envisaging the one in Bukshah where she and unos were huddled in the hut with a raging fire and the whole intense atmosphere, piercing eyes of intent, her snarky wisdom.
but i ended up going with the original, the first, the beloved, probably for nostalgia lol. Rowan of Rin was my first rodda book but thats not the only reason it's one of my top tier favourites. i love its story and its themes of bravery and how the saviour of the village was not a mighty warrior, but a gentle and kind soul.
but oh my god before i started sketching i randomly remembered rowan's dream after visiting sheba and like. ive read this book a bajillion times okay. but i only jUST saw a parallel?? i dont think it's a coincidence??? but i remembered that sheba's eyes were described as piercing and red, and i remembered that because i was like woah thats intense. aND YOU KNOW WHO ELSE HAD RED EYES. THE DRAGON. i remember this only because of when i drew the dragon of the mountain that one time.
so i go back to look at the dream scene. obviously this whole scene kinda went over my head the first time because i was like. eight. give or take. but when i picked it up again when i was older, i quite liked how kinda whacky it was? and i was like wow this is the weirdest and truly the most dream ive ever read lmaoo. i was like wow rodda really wrote things that rowan experienced recently and was thinking about aND made it whacky and weird.
and something i always thought was the most weird was that sheba is described to have a mouth full of cheese, and i always took it as yeah. rowan gave her cheese. it's haunting him now lol. but now?? with my eyes opened??? cheese = food, stuck in her mouth. you know who else had food stuck in its mouth?? the dragon of the mountain.
i was intending of drawing the dream itself but it was going to be a whole thing lol so i just drew when rowan was helping the dragon hahaha but behold my madman red string connection parallels âš
He was back in Sheba's hut. But now its four walls were made of rock, dripping with water and slime.
mountain top cavern, snowy and icy and probably a bit gross
And Sheba was huge, her nose long and pointed, her hair greasy grey tails swinging like thick ropes around her grinning face, her eyes red and piercing.
ngl i've found this description to be a bit [raises eyebrows] because stereotypes, but now it's like. oh maybe big nose is actually just dragon snout.
sheba definitely has an intense gaze normally, but a red and piercing gaze is like the intimidating but pained and fearful gaze of the dragon.
i got nothing for her hair. could just be description for her. could be folded wings maybe. maybe the dragon of the mountain is an Eastern dragon type even.
Strong Jonn and his mother stood there with him, but they made no move to help
jonn is, of course, weak and pinned to the wall by this point and cannot help.
i don't think jiller is as literally relevant, but we can kinda say that she cannot help also because she had to stay behind to look after annad etc
the Witch bent towards him, closer and closer, till her face was all he could see and her breath scalded his cheeks.
drawing rowan's attention to the face, uh. divine? guidance towards the answer.
sheba's breath was hot like the dragon's fire breath.
"If you are the only one afraid, skinny rabbit, you are the only one with sense," she croaked.
im choosing to interpret this as like, his fear gives him pause and allows him to consider. he seeks knowledge, before he acts, in contrast to his elders who act first, know later. kinda like benefits of Deer In The Headlights mode O-O lmao
could also just be a reminder, even affirmation that he and he alone can solve the villages problem and save it from disaster
And she opened her mouth to scream with laughter, but she had no tongue, and the inside of her mouth was as yellow and smooth as cheese.
perhaps opening her mouth to cackle can parallel the dragon unhinging its jaw, looking like it's about to eat you whole, but doesnt
cheese stuck in mouth = animal bone stuck in mouth
..oh my god??? i actually think this is just my headcanon but at the end of Bukshah sheba says "that the medallion she gave [rowan] may look like base metal, but it is made of pure gold, and she expects it back the moment she returns. she says that you could not take her place in a thousand years, whatever you may think" via allun, and idk when it happened but i think i did in fact imagine that rowan would be the wiseman some day. due to his insight, his experiences, his level-headiness and stuff like that.
sheba could just be messing around, enforcing being a spiteful and jealous old woman, but just passing on the message that she wants the medallion returned.
but also. maybe she knows he's gonna take her place someday, and she is hinting at it to him. i would imagine this definitely going over his head at the time, since he's you know. a child. but who knows, he's pretty discerning. anyway
it could perhaps be argued that sheba gave rowan the dream alongside the map, but i doubt it. i choose to believe it's his own. maybe im grasping at straws here about it being a supernatural dream, but if it is,,,,,,,,, it could be just the beginning for rowan.
#roddacember 2023#roddacember#lyn's roddacember prompts#postlyn#postlyn art#emily rodda#roddaverse#rowan of rin#jonn of rin#dragon of the mountain#//#maybe thats why sheba tells her riddle prophesies#she gets whack ass dreams and she's doing her best to translate ;-;#she's trying#sheba misunderstood mean bitch my beloved <3#i would be so scared of her if i lived in rin but as a character i love her

Hello welcome Bck from your vacation for A request can I request headcanons for A lazy male precure reader with the healin good precure (plantonic of course)
I imagine them joining shortly after Hinata/Sparkle and tends to be quite lazy dragging themselves with the cast during there slice of life moments and doesnât tend to exert much uneeded energy unless needed (and fiercely protective like that episode where that guy from the photography club low key stalked Nodoka they would have to hold him back from transforming and beating him with A stick) and there easily the most aggressive precure in A fight
Also can his fairy partner be A red panda fairy.
A/N ~ Sure! I liked the fairy idea, though I didnât end up including it. I just couldnât find anywhere to add it, and I felt it was a tad too specific. So, sorry about that! Hope you enjoy!

~Nodoka Hanadera/Cure Grace~
~~~đž~~~đž~~~đž~~~
~ Nodoka enjoys your company a lot! Your lazy personality provides a nice contrast in the friend group, which she likes. And your laziness doesnât bother her. After all, you still hang out with them and have fun! And she knows that even though you can seem out of it, youâre almost always enjoying yourself.
âAre you alright, (name)? You donât seem to be having fun.â
âIâm fine. Why donât you think Iâm having fun?â
âOh, well youâre slumping and acting pretty sluggish.â
â(name)âs just like that, Chiyu! So donât worry!â
âYeah, what she said.â
~ She always related to you a bit. I mean, sheâs not lazy, but she definitely doesnât have as much energy as everyone else. So itâs nice to have someone who ends up panting like a dog after running for only a few minutes.
â*huff* Hang on guys! Wait for *huff* us!â
âYeah! Weâre not as fast as you!â
âOh yeah, sorry. How about we rest for a second?â
~ She was surprised at how protective you could be. Youâd be all chill, but when someone messes with any of you, youâd basically be baring your teeth in anger. Sheâs always the one to calm you down in these situations. She just doesnât want any conflict.
â(name), calm down. Itâs okay!â
âNo, itâs not! That guyâs literally stalking you! Thatâs a crime!â
âI know⊠but if it will convince him that Iâm not responsible for the Megabyogens, then I can deal with it for a while.â
âIâm sorry, but I canât!â
~ Although, she was grateful when you defended her from that creepy Michio guy. Even if you were really aggressive, it did help to get him to back off a bit, which lowered her stress. So she made sure to thank you after the incident.
âHey, stalker! Leave Nodoka alone, or Iâm calling the cops!â
âIâm not stalking her, Iâm investigating!â
âDoes âinvestigatingâ require following her everywhere she goes?â
âWell-â
âExactly. Now get out of here before I get the police!â
âOkay, okay! Iâm going!â
âThanks (name). But Iâm sure heâll come back haha.â
~ When seeing how aggressive you are during battle for the first time, Cure Grace was speechless. She had no idea you had all that energy in you! Though, she found it incredibly admirable!
âWoah! (name), were you always this energetic?â
âNot really. It must have to do with me being a Pretty Cure.â
âCool!â
~~~đž~~~đž~~~đž~~~
~Chiyu Sawaizumi/Cure Fontaine~
~~~đ§~~~đ§~~~đ§~~~
~ Itâs a bit difficult for Chiyu to keep up(or keep down?) with your laziness. Sheâs a busybody, and very athletic, a stark contrast to you. But nonetheless, she enjoys having you around. Even if she has to slow down because of how slow you are.
âSo I was thinking that weâd all stop by my familyâs inn to relax in the hot springs, then we could- wait. Whereâs (name)?â
âHere! Why do you walk so fast?â
âOops, sorry!â
~ It scared her quite a bit when she saw you get protective for the first time. You went from being completely out of it, to fuming all in the span of a few seconds. It stresses her out quite a bit. Especially considering she was raised to only be kind to others, even if you donât like them.
âWhatâs going on Chiyu? Youâre not jumping nearly as high as you always do today.â
âSo? You got a problem with that? Have you ever considered that sheâs, I donât know, tired? After all, sheâs always working so hard. Give her a break, okay?â
â(name), calm down. Itâs fine.â
~ Sheâs always the one who holds you back when youâre getting really protective. She hates conflict, so she really doesnât want you to get involved in any.
âThis creep is really pissing me off. He really needs to leave Nodoka alone. Hey (partnerâs name), why donât we get that through his thick skull?â
â(name) no!â
âHey! Let go of me!â
âPlease calm down! Letâs not make any rash decisions!â
~ Cure Fontaine was super surprised when she saw you fight for the first time. You were the last person sheâd expect such feistiness from. But she likes your spirit! Even if it can be a bit much sometimes.
â(cure name), I think the Megabyogenâs down. So you can stop punching it nowâŠâ
âOh, okay. (partnerâs name), letâs purify him.â
â*sigh*. Typical (cure name).â
~ She always finds it funny how after the battle is over, you immediately go from aggressive to your usual, lazy self. Itâs almost as if itâs transforming that makes you like that. She really wants to ask you, but isnât really sure how.
âWell⊠that was a quick battle. We didnât even get to do anything.â
âYeah. I guess (name) kinda did all the work, huh?â
âYeah. And now heâs slumped on a park bench, half asleep.â
~~~đ§~~~đ§~~~đ§~~~
~Hinata Hiramitsu/Cure Sparkle~
~~~âš~~~âš~~~âš~~~
~ Hinata appreciates how (mostly)chill you are. She couldnât care less if you tend to lag behind while walking with everyone, or if you may not seem as enthusiastic about things. She knows itâs just how you are!
âIâm glad everyone is having fun! Especially you, (name)! I didnât think youâd enjoy this as much.â
âWait, (name)âs having fun?â
âYeah?â
âOh. You just seemed so out of it.â
âReally? Heâs way more into this than he is with other things! Canât you tell?â
âNo?â
~ She always wants her friends to have as much fun as possible, so she always makes sure that the activities she sets up would be enjoyed by you as well! This means that there are always some less active things for you to do. Things that donât require moving your body so much.
âWhy donât we take a break? We can get some ice cream and sit down!â
âYes please.â
âI knew youâd be all for it (name)!â
~ Hinata was also surprised when she first saw how protective you got. But she was impressed! She even started joining you in defending others. If youâre helping, then so is she!
âHey! Stop picking on her!â
âYeah! Find something better to do!â
âIf you wanna get to her, youâll have to fight us first!â
âYeah- wait, âfightâ?â
~ Your aggression during battle surprised her as well. But it definitely got her pumped up! Your spirit rubs off on her, and the two of you end up being the ones doing the most work during battles.
âHyah!â
âWoah, nice punch! Lemme have a turn!â
âSure, go ahead!â
âUh guys, this isnât a game you knowâŠâ
~ She sees nothing wrong with your aggression and protectiveness. In fact, itâs some of her favorite things about you! The fact that you can go from lazy and chill, to defensive all because you care about your friends is never bad in her mind!
â(name), I get that youâre trying to protect Nodoka, but you need to stop being so aggressive! Youâre just making us look even more suspicious!
âBut Chiyu, Masuko is being a nuisance. He really needs someone to knock some sense into him!â
âSee, Hinata gets it!â
~~~âš~~~âš~~~âš~~~
~Asumi Fuurin/Cure Earth~
~~~đ~~~đ~~~đ~~~
~ Asumi is a simple girl. She has the appearance of an adult, but she was only born a while ago. So there are some things that she fails to understand. One of those things being your laziness. Itâs not the lazy part itself, but itâs how it makes you always look so out of things. She ends up thinking youâre in a bad mood, or not having a good time. She even began to think that you didnât like her.
âHinata, I think (name) dislikes me.â
âWhat? What makes you think that?â
âHe never seems interested whenever I talk to him. And whenever I spend time with him, he doesnât seem to be having a good time.â
âOh! Donât worry, thatâs just how he is! I promise, he sees you as a friend!â
âReally?â
âYep! He always acts like that. Heâs just not an energetic person. I know he may seem bored, but heâs not!
âOh, alright.â
~ The rest of the girls, having known you for longer, quickly informed her that wasnât the case. So she now understands how you are. Though, it still confuses her sometimes. So she still occasionally asks if youâre having fun, just to be sure.
âAre you enjoying yourself (name)?â
âYeah, Iâm having fun. Why?â
âJust making sure. Itâs hard for me to tell.â
âYeah, I get that a lot.â
~ Asumi is very protective of Latte, so she relates to you when she sees how protective you are of others. She may not be as aggressive, but she understands how you feel. She appreciates the care you feel, even more so when itâs aimed towards her.
âOof! Oh my, Iâm sorry. I didnât mean to bump into you!â
âGeez lady! Watch where youâre going!â
âHey! She said sheâs sorry! Why do you have to be a jerk about it?â
âShe couldâve avoided me better! I mean, is she blind?â
âAre you blind? Canât you see sheâs carrying a bag and a dog? Itâs hard to get around with your hands full. So show some compassion, why donât you?â
~ Sheâs never one to stop you when you get super defensive for others. Sheâd only ever hold you back if you began to get physical. Although, she doesnât really need to, because Chiyu always has it covered. As long as youâre not hurting anyone, she always defends your behavior.
â(name), please calm down.â
âItâs okay Chiyu. Heâs just trying to protecting me.â
âI know, but heâs kind of making a scene.â
âItâs alright. I donât mind.â
~ She was definitely the most shocked when she saw how you fight in battles. She doesnât really have much experience with people, and how different they can be in certain situations. So she assumed you would be as enthusiastic with it as you are with everything else. Though, the shock soon turned into pride. Sheâs happy with how dedicated you are with healing the earth, and sees you as an irreplaceable member of the team.
âYou purified that Megabyogen very quickly (name). Latte and I are very grateful.â
âOh, it was nothing. Just doing my job.â
âYes, but you do it very well.â
âAw, thanks!â
omg ellie I would LOVE a long form zelda fic from you. I love your zelda writing and I think you're one of the best zelda writers around! your one shots are amazing and I love them but I found you through your mha fantasy au (woah was that really 3 years ago??) and I just remember having so much fun reading that. Speaking of that series, I like that format quite a bit, having one "main" romance that has a solid through line and development but having fun with the whole cast featuring in different chapters (and different kinks!) but whatever you decide to do I will BE there! đ
I LOVE YOU??? ok anon ur mine. /grabs u.
!!!! FR THO that's such a huge compliment omg đ„șđ„ș I'm so happy you liked my old series!! i had inklings to do smthn similar with this zelda one n now that i know u like it đđ I'll definitely go with it!!
for "main romance" I've got a few ideas too!! i think Link is an obvious choice LOL, but i was also considering Paya or Zelda maybe! idk yet I'm still workin out the kinks & just writing out whatever i think of atm, but!! you can always ask/recommend w/e you want !!! i love ur ideas and all u lovelies brains are so wrinkly <3 maybe I'll stick this unofficial poll right here to get a gauge since u gave me such good feedback MWAH (also all these characters r definitely going in the fic too this is just who you'd like to see as the "true romance" that threads throughout!!)
#legend of zelda#loz#tears of the kingdom#totk#i love u so much actually anon i will kiss u on the mouth#as a diehard loz fan these are the highest compliments ever <33#ellie chats#anons
*New to me
Thoughts on the New to Me films:
New Year's Eve we watched RRR, a lot of fun, energetic, bright and action-packed. I enjoyed the way that little attention was given to the British characters. They were straight up villains in ill fitting ahistorical costumes, kind of like the way Indian/Asian characters are treated in Western films most of the time...$$$
New Year's Day we watched Peter's Friends, a drama/comedy from the early 90s starring all of the famous Cambridge Footlights. Big Chill-ish film set in a country house over the Christmas holidays. $$$
How to Get a Head in Advertising was weird and also really good. Had a similar vibe to Withnail and I (possibly because of Richard E. Grant, but also possibly the mixture of the surreal with the realistic). Quite stage-y in some ways but clever and savage in it's satire of life in the 80s. $$$
Frieda: Oh I loved this! Weird World War II melodrama about a German girl marrying a British boy and all the trouble it causes with his complex family situation. Such a stellar cast including the late, great Glynnis Johns. $$$$
The Quick and the Dead: I set my expectations quite low for this and was pleasantly surprised. I liked Sam Raimi's comic book-y take on gunfighters and esp. loved Sharon Stone's character. We love to see a female action hero with no love interest. A nice twist on the Man with no Name trope. Excellent cast as well with Russell Crowe, Gene Hackman, Roy Scheider and Woody Stroud in his final film. $$$
The Barefoot Contessa: Joseph Mankewitcz is one of the geniuses of old Hollywood but this ain't it, chief. Just kind of all of the place melodrama that makes no sense and relies too much on Ava Gardner looking amazing in technicolor in the South of France. A bit of a commentary on Grace Kelly who a few years earlier married minor royalty on the Riviera. Even Rossano Brazzi can't save this mess for me. $
Rhubarb: Two genres I usually kind of hate (family-friendly animal centered film, sports film) combined into one and it's actually a lot of fun. Ray Milland and a bunch of classic character actors as the baseball team (also Leonard Nemoy has a tiny part as a mobster) in this slight/ predictable romp. $$
The Birds: Woah, shit this was good. I should have known. Amazing tension created and Hitchcock just sells the surreal horror with lots of rear projection...so. much. rear. projection. $$$
House of Yes: How about House of NOPE. Ugh what a mess this was. Some good performances and intriguing story, but it was very stagey and I don't know why the 90s couldn't make a story about adult children and their parents without reducing everyone to cliches and stereotypes but this and Six Degrees of Separation are definitely guilty of that, but the latter is just a better film. $
Cassandra Cat: Takes a long time to get to the cat which given that this was a family film from the 60s might be a problem for some viewers, expecting a more cat-centric movie. Interesting riff on fairy tales from the Czech New Wave. Beautiful Demy-esque technicolor and settings make this 60s nonsense fly by. $$
The Day the Earth Caught Fire: 60s nuclear panic disaster film that really just shows the earth as it is now in the throws of global warming. Yikes. Thoughtfully written and well acted by a bunch of folks I'd never heard of. $$
For Me and My Gal: Directed by Busby Berkley and starring Gene Kelly and Judy Garland and set in the 1920s on the Vaudeville circuit, I was expecting a lot more fun, dancing, color, costumes etc. This is actually more of a black and white war time melodrama with some music shoved into it and the dancing is very rudimentary. (I think this is probably because Garland esp. at this stage wasn't in the same league with Gene Kelly and I think it would have been too noticable...). Filmed at the entry of America into WW2 this was quite a deliberate propaganda piece. $$
TLADOCB Commentary: I've watched this movie 20 times at least but the commentary really made me think about a bunch of things differently. Can't say I recommend unless you are fanatic though as it's obviously pieced together from interviews Michael Powell and Martin Scorcese $$
Water (1985): If you smoke the exact right strain of sativa and ignore some of the more dated aspects of this 80s comedy, that reads as if Local Hero were a Cheech and Chong film--this is a total classic. Irreverent Michael Caine just straight up breaking character the minute he turns into a guerilla fighter in the jungle and being far too competent and cool, and then snapping back to sweetly shy, inept British Civil Servant, finding he actually loves his hated backwater post (the invent Casara part Caribbean, part Devon Jurassic Coast) while having to actually do his job. Political satire and fully both barrels to Maggie Thatcher and Reagan. Good on em. Filmed in St. Lucia, the movie has a zany heart and little taste, hoovering up vast quantities of competent TV players from my youth: Herman Munster and Reginald Perrin to name but two. Awkward love story and some uneven acting from Valerie Perrin and Brenda Vaccaro. I enjoyed myself, heartily, anyway. $$$
The Ballad of John and Yoko: Technically a video essay with amazing production values (the licensing alone was epic) dragging together disparate topics around the central theme of women being blamed for bad things happening to infantalized male geniuses. Is it the most coherent argument? No. Does it absolutely tap into many unexpressed or implied ideas that have been floating around since me too? Absolutely. $$
Track 29: This was some of the worst casting I've ever seen in a film. When I think of Texas nurse who is into trains and spanking, I don't automatically think of comedian Sandra Bernhardt. When I think of an actress of that era who was old enough to play Gary Oldman's mother, I don't think of Theresa Russell who is the same age as Oldman and looked every bit as young as he did in the film. Maybe that was the point? I'm not sure. The story was weird, like a Southern Gothic melodrama/black comedy ala Flannery O'Connor, but there was something off about the whole thing.
Woah wow. Jay writes ideas for the HTTYD au for NPMD because he's enough of a nerd that they'd get killed in that musical.
Right. Gonna go over each of our main cast a bunch. It's gonna be a lot probably. But it's gonna be fun. Because of that. Below the cut.
Peter
As I said in my original post, I think Pete would be out stand in Hiccup. I don't think the Spankoffskis are quite chief status. But I also don't think they're the lowest class. Middle class Peter. Thanks to research, this actually is present in the types of clothes that each character would wear so I'm also gonna talk about that.
Being middle class, I think Pete has access to furs and new fabrics. Maybe some leather from their ancestors has been passed down from when their clan was a higher class. If so, I think it would be found as belts or bands around their wrists. He's not in tattered clothing, but I also think he's crafty. He'd likely prefer to repair his clothes himself instead of getting new ones.
Now onto the dragons.
As I said. Pete is our Hiccup. I think he tries to kill a dragon - to impress Steph - but only manages to wound it. He's unable to kill it and nurses it back to health.
I want to avoid having them fly night furies. So I think Pete's dragon would be a Grapple Grounder. Because I think it's very Tinky. And that's what I'm going with for their dragons. Each of our main sixes dragons are the LIB I associate with them most. :) (Also I'm not going in depth with regards to the dragons. I'm using the wiki for it.)
Pete has a general dislike to killing dragons, but he understands why they do it. I think when he kickstarts the island into liking dragons, Ted doesn't go against him as much as Stoic does to Hiccup. But I think Ted does try to steer his brother into a better approach to helping them understand. This only comes after finding the Grapple Grounder wrapped around the wood pillars of their house.
-
Steph
Steph is the Astrid stand in but she's the daughter of the Chief (Solomon). She's got all new cloths and furs and leathers to show for it, too.
I think she's entirely capable of killing a dragon and has done it before. She just doesn't want to do it a lot because. Of course she doesn't. Whether it's out of a genuine dislike for killing dragons or her wanting to go against her dad is yet to be seen (it's a bit of both).
Before Pete finds the dragon, I think she still thinks he's cute. But in more of a "you're gonna die out here, let me protect you" way.
When Pete takes her on the first flight, I think she fully starts to fall for him then.
I think her dragon would be a sand wraith because it has a big mouth. And her dragon is nibbly.
I don't think Solomon ever opens up to the idea of dragon riding. Not even when everyone else starts to. I think it gets him killed and because of this, Steph takes over rule of the island. And she does it well, I think, once she learns to.
-
Ruth
Oh Ruth. I think Ruth is lower class - in an orphanage with Richie, honestly. Both of their parents were killed by dragons. Thanks to this, they wear mainly cloth clothing and have plenty of repairs they've done to them, themselves.
Ruth wants to kill a dragon but she underestimates herself because everyone else does. She's the smallest adult on the island and is incapable of killing even a smaller dragon like a Terrible Terror.
Her dragon is a Slithersong. Because Pokey. And the slither-song is black and blue and that's too perfect to pass up.
I think she's less inclined to trust the dragons when Pete tries to get everyone behind him. But when she sees that Richie trusts them - and probably even Steph trusts them entirely first - Ruth comes around to it.
-
Richie
Already did this opening part on Ruth's part so. No need to go over it again.
I think Richie loves to read about the dragons, he wants to learn all about them and learn how they tick - he also thinks they're just very cool. But I think he understands and is - at first - encouraging of the killing. He's probably killed a few himself.
I think he's incredibly open to the concept of not killing the dragons, despite this. I think he's willing to change his mind because he knows so much about them outside of hunting them. He's one of the first to trust Peter when he says about training them.
His dragon is a Changewing (wiggly) because they can come in green and honestly. Read the wiki for this one. If you're gonna do it for any of them. This is the one where you'll be like "oh this is wiggly as a dragon".
-
Grace
Grace, like Pete, is middle class. She's got cloth and fur and family leather, but not as much as a chief or other higher class families would have. But she does have more than Peter.
I think she's a firm believer in killing the dragons thanks to her parents filling her with the same fear and hatred for the creatures that they were.
She's not very open to riding one, until she does, and then she almost definitely goes the complete opposite extreme. As I said in my original post, I think she'd be very likely to be an ally in the first movie, and an antagonist in the sequel. I don't know what her motivation would be. Just know that I think she would be.
Her dragon would be the Hobblegrunt. (Blinky). It's sensitive to emotions and changes colors due to them, so I think having that with a villain Grace would be an interesting concept.
Her parents don't ever really change their minds on dragon riding, though. Even if their daughter does ride. Mark was always fine with dragons.
-
Max
Max is one of the high class families who are connected with the chief through either old business or blood. They have plentiful fabrics and leathers and furs, and they're all in the best quality.
Max is probably one of the strongest young killers of dragons in the establishing universe, pressured to be that way from his family who are the cliche viking strongmen who want nothing more than to kill the biggest/toughest/strongest dragon and probably mount the head and take the scales and hide for personal use.
This is why I've decided to break the thing I said at the beginning. Max gets a light fury. Because Webby. And also I think he'd be so deeply cautious of trusting them that having something as ethereal as a light fury (who Webby was always going to be) would be a good reason to open his mind a little bit.
I think his dad deserves to die in his hatred for dragons and wouldn't survive the first installment. :)
-
Anyway that about covers the main cast of characters. I don't have much other thoughts right now considering it's taken. So long to write this post.
Quick disclaimer that it's been a few months since I've seen the movies and those are the only installments of the series that I've ever actually seen. The wiki helped me with the dragon types. I plan on watching my way through the show eventually.
Please!! If you want to add to this I am very open to it!!! Especially if you're more knowledgeable on the franchise than I am!
28. do you flirt with your tc? do they flirt back?
I HAD A CHANCE TO BUT CHICKENED OUT i just do it subtly, he does tease me a little though
29. if you could ask your tc absolutely anything and get a completely honest response, what would you ask them?
what cologne did he used to use cause it smelt insanely nice
30. how do you think your tc would react if you told them your feelings?
i don't know... i think he'd just wave it off or maybe smile and look away and scold me or something maybe?
Tri-Lights - Wheel of Fortune: Chapter 5
Location: Yumenosaki Tennis Court Characters: Sora, Natsume, Tsumugi & Madara
Tsumugi: âŠThank you for waiting, Mikejima-kun.
Madara: Oh? It seems you two finished talking a lot earlier than Iâd expected, but have you come up with a good strategy?
Tsumugi: Yes⊠well, itâs a strategy from amateurs, though.
Natsume: But I think it was settled in a simple mannER. Letâs continue with our tennis gaME.
Madara: Hmm, Natsume-san at the front and Tsumugi-san at the back⊠That hasnât changed. Letâs see this strategy you two have come up with.
Alright, you two serve first. Bring it on!
Tsumugi: Right. Here we go âȘ
Take thatâŠ!
Madara: (Hmm, that was an ordinary serve â and one thatâs easy to hit back.)
Natsume: âŠâŠâŠâȘ
Madara: (Theyâre aiming for a volley, arenât they? Seeing as Natsume-san is in front of the net. But their teamwork is as messy as always.)
(If Natsume-san is standing in front of the net, then that means Tsumugi-san has to cover a lot of space in the back.)
(So the right thing to do would be to throw them off balanceâŠ)
Your back is wide open, Natsume-san!
Haah!
Tsumugi: Whaa, that went into a difficult spot. WoahâŠ
Madara: Oh? Tsumugi-san was able to catch that
But running around the court like that would be disadvantageous for you. If Natsume-san isnât going to move, then how about a shot right between you guys?
Natsume: What a shaME. Thatâs my territoRY.
Madara: HuhâŠ!? They predicted how Iâd actâŠ?
Natsume: What do you think of thIS? A volley with plenty of backspIN â That must be quite difficult for someone as big as you to hit since it falls right in front of the nET âȘ
Madara: UghâŠ! So thatâs how it is!
Sora: âŠHooray! Team âSwitchâ is the first to gain a point~â
Madara: Well, well. Tsumugi-san, get the ball for us.
All the volleys and serves headed towards Natsume-san will be hit back to me at full power with a spin that I cannot return â thatâs your strategy, isnât it?
Tsumugi: Ahaha⊠Iâm good at long-distance running and marathons.
I donât think youâll know that since you were overseas at the time.
I had so much fun when we were doing tennis rallies in our P.E. classes to the point I wouldnât stop running if the teacher didnât stop me.
Natsume: I feel sorry for your partner who had to keep up with yOU.
WeLL, Senpaiâs numb to pain so he probably doesnât care about thAT.
Tsumugi: Mikejima-kun would start getting tired of rallying with me and will start returning easy balls. There, Natsume-kun will immediately hit back with spinning curveballs â theyâre miracle balls with a magical touch.
Iâll support Natsume-kun as he casts a spell on the balls. Thatâs how our roles are split. I hope itâll be somewhat of a challenge for you.
Natsume: Inadequate ideas are worse than none at all, after aLL. This is the simple result of us putting our heads together and thinking of what we can dO.
Reading peopleâs minds is my forTE. By creating openings on purpoSE, Mikejima-senpai will act in a way thatâs advantageous for uSâŠ
So weâre different people nOW.
Sora: HaHa~! Master and Senpai are both amazing!
That was a wonderful strategy that made use of Masterâs ingeniousness and Senpaiâs stamina!
Madara: Indeed. That was a great example of teamwork that made the best of your strengths. Things wouldnât have gone so well if you werenât usually working together as a unit.
But if it only happened once, you can say it was just pure luck. If you can win one game from me, then Iâll release Sora-san. That was the condition for winning.
I wonder how far this strategy will take you? Iâm starting to get excited too âȘ
Sora: Itâs finally match point~! Letâs see if they can get lucky the third time!
Tsumugi: We wonât let you catch up this time, Mikejima-kun.
Madara: Iâll change the tides with my service ace! Here I go!
Natsume: âŠSenpai!
Tsumugi: (What a sharp serveâŠ! But itâs lacking in power compared to the ones from the start of the game.)
(It seems Mikejima-kun has lost a lot of stamina as well. Which means, I canâŠ)
(Hit back with a serve that just barely passes the net!)
(Iâve tried this exact shot numerous times for the past few hours, so Iâm getting confident in this shot. Mikejima-kun will surely not be able to get this in timeâŠ!)
Haah!
Madara: âŠâŠâŠâŠ
Ohh⊠it seems a victor emerges.
Congratulations, Tsumugi-san, Natsume-san. Itâs your win!
Sora: HiHi~ You were both so cool! Sora knew Master and Senpai had the strength to overcome anything~âȘ
Natsume: âŠâŠ UgH, Iâm so tirEDâŠ
Tsumugi: Good job out there, Natsume-kun. Youâll catch a cold if you lie down on the court drenched in sweat, you know~?
Natsume: Youâre sitting on the court all exhausted yourseLF. Why donât you worry about yourself instead of otheRS?
Tsumugi: Ahaha⊠I was pretty confident I could hold out for a long time, but it looks like all the exhaustion hit me the moment I breathed a sigh of relief.
Madara: Well done, you two. Iâve got sports drinks and towels here, so feel free to take them.
Tsumugi: Oh, thank you. Youâre so well-prepared~ Here you go, Natsume-kun âȘ
Natsume: âŠI want to relax for a bit so later is fiNE.
Tsumugi: Ahaha. Youâre totally exhausted, huh. Shall I wipe you down?
Natsume: No neED. I can do it myseLF.
Tsumugi: Whaa, donât snatch the towel away from me~ You gave me a fright.
Hehe. But Iâm glad we were able to win. Itâs good that Sora-kun was also released âȘ
Sora: HuHu~âȘ Sora is also glad that Sora got to see Master and Senpaiâs fiery âcolourâ!
Sora is happy that everything went according to Soraâs plan~âȘ
Tsumugi: Your⊠plan?
Madara: Right. Itâs fine to tell them now, right, Sora-san?
Sora: HeHe~ Sora will explain!
To tell the truth, Sora was reading a sports fashion magazine yesterday and realised that âSwitchâ isnât desperate enough.
Itâs a new challenge so weâll end up failing if we donât get into it with feelings that are new and desperate. Sora thought that sort of serious feeling is what we needed.
So Sora asked âMr Giantâ to help with bringing out your desperate feelings.
Sora apologises for tricking Master and Senpai! But you two carried out Soraâs plan successfully.
Sora is really happy about thatâŠâȘ
Tsumugi: So thatâs what this was all aboutâŠ
We thought we were being serious, but we must have looked like we were lacking in some areas in the eyes of people who actually do sports.
Madara: âSwitchâ has always been about elegant performances, after all. I think seriousness is part of devoting yourself to your skills, but itâs not something you should pursue physically.
That sort of unrefined side of you two was what Sora-san was looking for, right?
Sora: Yes! âMr Giantâ does a good job at accurately guessing what Sora wants to say.
Madara: Hahaha, intercultural exchange is one of my strengths, after all âȘ
In any case, if you want to show a new side to yourself, you must throw away the perfect self youâve had all this time.
Youâve both realised through this tennis game that itâs important to not show yourself too much, right?
Natsume: I ended up completely exhausted after running around for no good reason all thanks to yOU.
But I think Iâm starting to understand nOW.
The experience of physically driving yourself into a cornER â so thatâs the âreality that will refine yourself and make you shiNEâ.
Tsumugi: Come to think of it, diamonds also donât shine unless you polish and refine them.
Maybe thatâs what the company is looking for.
Sora: Thatâs what Sora thinks!
Senpai and Master were shining sooo muchâŠâ
I've been looking at your Pizza Tower art and I could have sworn your artstyle and name was familiar, then I realized you were the one who posted some of my favourite submas art back when that fandom was bigger. Either way, still glad to see your stuff!
woah really? I'm actually curious, which sbms art specifically? đ I'm known for a few things until I started doing AU stuff and weirdly personal pieces that is sbms esque but not quite đ
And also most of my art is on Twitter, I haven't finished inserting all the sbms logs here too đ„
As for the pizza tower stuff, it felt like a breath of fresh air for me. I haven't done something like this ever, dunno, it's a different fandom experience IMO. I'm only a few months in so I can't describe how it feels but it feels so much more wider?
Like the sbms are literally open sourced OCs for everyone to use tbh, similar to Sun & Moon Drop from FNAF: SB and sans/spamton. In Pizza Tower due to literal sense that there's barely any story, almost anything so it's kinda the same thing except now apply that to EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER.
Like not just one or two guys and you have to force yourself to make them replicate like making multiple AUs of the same guy, no they ALL ARE SO MOLDABLE AND EASY TO CHURN AND STUFF.
You can do SO MUCH with the cast alone. I'd say it's comparable to undertale AUs except for now this feels SO SO much more tame and it's so peaceful to me.
I'm just having fun, and that's so serene.
I don't have constant displeasure of simply existing in a space and it's so awesome, same thing with sbms too. Everyone I know personally had been wonderful people, even if there are a couple of bad eggs.
Pizza tower is the same to me. I can do anything, and at the end, it doesn't matter and that's simply so fun.
My previous fandom experiences had been a paced gateway from hell itself, getting into sbms and now pizza tower has literally gave me a boost to a much more stable life and that's so cool to me. That's why I hope everyone who stumbles upon my art gets what they deserve the most!
These arts are made from passion, determination and so so much. I wish greatly everyone all the blessings the world has to offer!
Cheers!
Hi Days! I hope you're doing well and taking care of yourself and your family.
You're probably really busy, but I would love to know if you watched the new Netflix adaptation of kimi ni todoke.
It came out in March, it's quite new so no worries if you haven't.
If you have, give me your most honest opinion about everything because I haven't watched it myself yet and, as a fan of the manga and anime, I'm still hesitant about it.
Thank you very much and have a lovely day!
Because of this ask, I accidentally binged like 5 or 6 episodes yesterday when originally I was only planning on checking it out.
It is EXACTLY like the manga. At least it feels that way to me. The casting feels really good, I'm personally super impressed with Sanada Ryu's actor! Pin / Arai-sensei looks like he popped out of the manga. Yoshida is also fantastic. Yano is darling, she looks like a doll, which is a surprising yet amazing contemporary interpretation of her original 2005 character design. My funny fave is Kurumi, whoever styled her did an amazing job.
About the main couple haha, Sawako and Shota are of course super sweet, just like the manga. They both have such nice eyes, it's like...woah. Where'd they find these kids. ohhh, oohhhh I just, I love the Japanese drama cliche of "staring into each other's eyes for an inexplicably long time" and yes, yes, this drama delivers on that. The actor for Shota has a wonderfully youthful charm, too. The actress for Sawako does a great job at capturing the character's poise imo.
The framing with the Hokkaido countryside is beautiful.
My husband was watching with me, and he likes it so far!
My one concern is there were a few English subtitles I disagreed with. Like what the subtitles said were awkward compared to what was actually being said. oh well.
So that's my rave review for the first 5 or 6 or however many I watched episodes!!
I hope you are also taking care of yourself! I hope you're having a wonderful week! Feel absolutely free to talk to me about Japanese dramas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you for having me start watching this!!!!!!!!!!
ngl, i feel like episode 4.. it's a great example of v-force's attempts at stakes not exactly working out. like, i don't quite know how to explain it but it just feels kind of silly, especially once you get hit with the BEYBLADING ROBOT.
psykick also just... doesn't really land, like you compared gideon to volkov but.. idk, gideon feels a lot more like a saturday morning cartoon villain, y'know? meanwhile volkov feels like a genuine threat. my best guess is that since psykick is kind of distant from the rest of the cast and we mostly just see random goons they don't really have the presence that volkov and borg have
i think a big part of why the digital sacred beasts worked so well is because of how they hit you with the gravity of the situation. it's not like, "woah!! how will our heroes get out of this one?", or atleast it's not like that for most of it, as soon as you see what happens to yuya you realize that yeah, this time they AREN'T screwing around. the fact that we actually get a glimpse into team cybers helps aswell
overall, it's hard to define what exactly it is that v-force misses that s1 succeeds at (g-rev has tonal issues of its own but that's an entire other can of worms), but it's definitely There
Sometimes I feel like it was not Gideon but Dr. B that was the problem. Gideon felt truly evil to some extent but we got to see more of Dr. B who was working for him. He was your everyday psychotic scientist who was batshit feral and that might have ruined the entire vibe.
The people working under Volkov have a terrible and dark past. He was less of a scientist and more of a genius menace and this fact stands out in comparison to the villains in v-force. V-Force picked up elements from season 1 but the introduction of new villains might have been jarring. They were different and had nothing to do with anyoneâs childhood. It was all the present, making it less palpable in comparison to s1. This in fact is a huge mistake taken from the writers of this season. They should have associated someoneâs background to the villains. This is exactly why the Yuya/Wyatt arc saved the entire first half of V-Force. The interaction between Rei and Salima (practically everything after the Yuya arc) saved it as well.
Also Barthez and Volkovâs connections are basically a repetition of Dr. Zagart and Gideonâs but againâŠit wasnât just anyone..it was Volkov. Hence it was deeper.
Overall the inner conflicts, conflicts within every team, misunderstandings, the charactersâ uncertainty and their musings and panics were a few elements that were executed very well in this season, much better in comparison to the other two. The Kane/Zeo betrayals for Takao +his rival Ozuma, Yuya for Kai, Salima for Rei and Mariam for Max were some awesome interactions this season and it does make me wanna go watch V-Force again.
Also V-Force antagonists are criminally underrated. I love Ozuma and I think he deserves fame too.
The GRev part is definitely true. I see all itâs flaws now and the one season that used to be my favourite has managed to tick me off real good. In my eyes itâs no where close to s1.
Halloween Film Frightstival Day 22: Haunting of the Queen Mary (2023)
Back on my âobscure random movies no oneâs ever heard of or seenâ shit
The setting of the Queen Mary helps to the creepy atmosphere since itâs supposedly haunted as shit
I appreciate a disabled character in horror who isnât depicted as scary, evil, or the big bad of the story. I canât speak to whether his portrayal is good or not since I am not a little person and donât have the lived experience, but it seems appropriate to me that the character could have been any kid in light up shoes and the directors decided to cast an actor with dwarfism (coming back at the end of the movie Iâm sure his character wasnât the best representation, but I still donât think it was bad per se)
Okay so the kidâs dead and being possessed by a ghost right? Am I understanding this correctly?
The dual era timeline adds to the interest of the story but does make it more confusing than it probably needs to be. The cuts between the times are actually really cool and interesting though
It kind of screams âWe watched Titanic and wished it was a horror movieâ but if it wasnât for all the possession and stuff, the 1930s aesthetic is nice
I think itâs funny how in horror movies with hotels, ships, etc the victims always end up staying in the haunted room where the murder happened
Woah so so so bloody, Iâm trying to think when I last saw a scene that bloody (I guess technically The Shining? By volume of blood at least lol). I donât mind gore but even I felt a little sick
Jesus fucking jumpscare holy shit I havenât gotten jumpscared in ages because I tend to avoid jumpscary stuff
Ooo a ghost playing Clair de Lune how lovely, Iâm sure that wonât turn terrifying (spoiler it did)
Itâs really confusing whoâs dead and whoâs not or who knows what about the hauntings
Okay so that wasnât a bad movie despite its reviews. I think its biggest problem is it tried to do too much and didnât quite hit all its marks. It was pretty confusing, but I think most of the questions were answered or at least implied? And if they werenât it was more to make you wonder than anything else. The only thing I donât exactly understand was whether the modern âcaptainâ (or security guard? if I caught the dialogue correctly?) was a normal human who just knew stuff about the ghosts or if he was also possessed by one of the spirits, I felt like they implied he mightâve been the original captain or maybe a literal embodiment of the ship itself but idk. I actually think I liked it. Itâs a little disappointing that it wasnât able to achieve everything it was going for, if it did I think it couldâve been really good. It was spooky, it was visually appealing, it had limited but well executed nods to Titanic, and it was interesting but it was a lot and the pacing was a little off. Still, pretty good film, if youâre looking for a decent horror movie that does kinda make you think, itâs not a bad watch
Just saw Hamilton in Bristol and woah..... So good...
My biggest complaint is the guy playing hamilton, he was weirdly emotionally constrained, he delivered his lines in a flat way, like the punchline to a dry joke. This randomly got a lot better starting from "one last time", so it kind of feels like he treated everything before that point as a comedy?? Really weird vibe - Hamilton's defining trait is his unrestrained passion and drive, his too-strong ideals - it's what separates him from burr! He also kept doing weird things with his hands - sort of a constrained, awkward gesture that mayyyybe could have made sense for early hamilton but certainly not later on. Luckily, burr was DIVINE. Definitely a close interpretation to the Broadway original, but it didn't feel like a total copy, his delivery was just unique enough to set him apart. "The room where it happens" was amazing, and his rapid descent after losing the election even more so.
Eliza was also INCREDIBLE. seeing this live definitely made me pay wayyyy more attention to eliza and her and Alexander's drama than ever before when just listening to the album, and part of that was definitely her performance. She did that sliding up-and-down thing with her voice that i would in isolation find kind of grating, but in her early songs it really emphasised her youth and cheerful naivete - but then, starting with "I'm not sorry", the gradual transition into a more serious and thoughtful - and assertive! - character was executed beautifully. "Burn" was incredible, the way she begins by reminiscing on her lovesick youth - you've just seen hamilton descend from that giddy state all the way into his lowest moment, but here is a sharp contrast of eliza keeping his letters all these years, identifying with and maintaining that first moment of adoration this whole time. It makes her burning the letters hit all the harder. And when she goes "you, you, you" - it drives home Alexander's egocentrism and cruelty all the more.
Angelica had a very different voice from Broadway, and i felt like she struggled a little during the faster moments, but her singing parts were lovely. Her voice and the way she often stood still while singing gave her a very imposing, serious air.
Maria Reynolds had the voice of an ANGEL. HOLY SHIT
Lawrence and Lafayette didn't make that much of an impression on me, but philip was delightful and Jefferson was fantastic as well. Jefferson has always been my favourite performance and daveed d diggs is a hard act to follow - and this guy did do a slightly different take on Jefferson i think! Diggs' Jefferson has a sort of... Predatory note to him, like under the joviality there's someone formidable and aggressive, ready to spring into action. This Jefferson felt more... Laid back, but still threatening in his own way. This might just be from the addition of visual performance but i thought he was a bit more foppish and dandyish, bordering on camp at times, and this combined with his delivery of some lines - "and I'm already senate approved!", for example - gave me the impression of someone defined by his privilege, who embodies this threat that hamilton will NEVER be accepted by the members of this upper class no matter how hard he works, precisely because this caste is defined by their not having to work hard for anything. A lot of the time he seemed so laid back that it worked to strengthen the impression of his danger.
Mulligan was an incredible presence - totally delivered on his character archetype of loud, brash and in your face. I loved his showing off his leg after Hamilton's "i think your pants look hot". I did think he maybe carried a bit too much of this presence into madison, who didn't come across as quite so diminutive as he should have.
Washington was wonderful as well, very close to his Broadway version except maybe a touch more down to earth and pragmatic. I thought it was really impressive how much was conveyed about his and Hamilton's relationship in "one more time" just by tone of voice, body language and general rapport.
I've always found it a bit distasteful how king george gets a disproportionate amount of attention compared to all the other roles - I don't dislike his songs but they don't do THAT much for me. I will say tho, he had some impressive lungs on him.
Lee was kind of a snack ngl
Most of what i have to say about the story is not really based on the specifics of this particular production but just the experience of watching Hamilton on stage after years of memorising every lyric from the album... Like i said, the drama of eliza and Alexander hit so much harder for me - only now do i kind of get the impression that it IS the core of the story. It feels like the Reynolds pamphlet is where Hamilton breaks and irreversibly fucks up his life, and everything from there is a slow, inevitable descent into his unavoidable death... And the sheer cruelty of his actions towards eliza hit way harder. Seeing him standing there during the end of the Reynolds pamphlet, feebly and pathetically insisting "at least i was honest with my money" after it has been specifically said that he received maria in his own house - somehow that brought home just how humiliating and horrible this moment would have been for eliza. And then Philip's duel, with the emphasis on how he did exactly as Alexander had told him... And then the torturous process of reconciliation between Alexander and eliza, the way they end up clinging to each other again in their grief - and best of wives and best of women, where you can see so clearly the cruelty of this action. You can see that Alexander knows he won't be coming back, and how much it pains him to be setting Eliza up for this new heartbreak, how he can't let go of her hand and yet he still goes through with it... The actions of a man so resigned to his fate he doesn't seriously consider trying to change it. Heartbreaking. I cried like crazy
jotting my thoughts on pokemon rejuv so far since im just finished battling hazuki.
likes:
hell yeah more utilization of double battle scenarios. those are my jam and butter i have so much fun calculating who's gonna target who and what the fuck should i go for. I'd like to thank my cinccino and weavile. fakeout helping hand combos so well with my tanky or fast sweeper pokemon.
the field options and crest system are cool as hell. its gen rlly creative and i had to get used to it and use my brain, it throws a wrench in usual pokemon play and style. it also lifts some underutilized pokemon! its manageable though. and the boss battles were gen rlly cool! rift pokemon my beloved. rlly hard in the beginning but i learned to cheese it eventually (curse + leech seed + whirlpool + toxic with corrosion)
the difficulty i think is spiked p well, its good enough that you aren't out of options, almost never, but you got to use your head around certain teams and foes. EV training is a MUST, luckily there are EV training centers. i hate IV hunting so i used the password for full 31 IVs all the way . you also need some basis of pokemon competitive i'd say.
speaking of passwords those are gen rlly nice to use, saves some time. i got a remote pc with me and that saves like 50% of the handling when preparing for a boss battle.
the aevian forms are so cool. my fav has been probably chandelure and leavanny so far but i just caught a feebas so who knows. i also have a gastrodon who's so silly i love that design
god the characters are so nice. i love the individuality of each character presented to the player, and you kind of got to twist one part to get to the other and know why the first part was twisted. that being said, if you asked who my favs are its adam ren and talon. silly dudes. but i also know i would EAT this up in my younger years a lot more. but even now i still adore them. found family is dear and nice, especially well done for a large cast jesus fuck
also worldbuilding. i don't want to say more but woah. good job.
i adore [REDACTED] very dearly and i have to apologize every time i see them. i wish i got to know them more. hopefully more appearances later??????
iffy stuff:
i want to like venam and melia's relationship a lot more than i do now. i think its just uncertainty with their previous known age gap before the time skip? eh.
I'm. very confused about Risa's whole schtick. i don't want to say more than now because spoilers and all. but i think too much information got laid on with that arc that my brain exploded there. wish it was just a bit clarified or so . (also is she 18 or 21??????? the internet and the game confuse me. this matters because i have to know whether to sock dylan or not)
some of the sidequest lines are misleading. they say "go to [here]" and when i go there nothing happens. its only when i search up the issue online is when i find out that i have to do Something Else first. just wish it was more clarified or such? if that makes sense? its like someone told you to go to the field or smth but didn't say you had to talk to the lady at the building first.
honestly i think the story confusions i have now are going to wait until The End of this game because rn it isn't fully complete. i will wait as long as needed until everything releases before i can make a full assessment. like. this has so much work put into this game. for FREE. NOTHING OF COST. like holy shit i can wait forever and ever. i have 130+ hours into this game. i can't believe this is nothing of cost. so a positive note here in this category.
comments:
honestly ive seen a ton of critique towards this game, so i was sort of jumping around trying to assess how hard it was going to be and whether or not i would be actually interested. i'm delighted to say i am. key note: don't listen to reddit when they say "too edgy". i know my edgyness. i i also quite enjoy some of it. i think its a matter of taste.
if you try out this game do have. a lil handful of pokemon experience in terms of speed, sweeping, and tanks. i think some basic knowledge there would go a long way. then again i played normal mode, there is an easier mode if i remember. either way, get ready to strategize.
also rec me more games im almost caught up w everything pretty please i need something to occupy my brain.
