So hear me out

All of Bruce Wayne's adopted children are biologically his and none of them know.

At age 20, Bruce was traveling Europe and saw the Flying Graysons in a circus. Who wouldn't say no to a threesone with two hot older acrobats?

A few years later and Bruce has been slutting his way through Crime Alley.

A few years after that and he's been going through the richest people in Gotham.

Years after that and he's in an assassin phase.

Despite knowing of his own history, Bruce never does paternity tests on his children. It's a combination of knowing if his kids found it, they would freak, and not really wanting to know himself. The only kid he's almost sure is his is Tim, they look so similar but they also have similar personalities and hobbies, hobbies he knows Tim's parents didn't foster or encourage. Still, he refuses to check.

Years later, a random kid of Bruce's comes into the picture (personally I'm picturing Danny Fenton but it could be anyone) they just walk in on a family dinner when everyone's home and drop the news that they're Bruce's kid.

"Mostly I just wanted to make sure we all know of each other. Man, the family resemblance is strong in this family, you have strong genes Bruce."

"We're actually adopted!"

"Oh... you didn't tell them?"

Bruce: (knows exactly what he means) What do you mean?

"Oh my god. No that's impossible, you have to at least have suspected. You have to know that they're all your kids"

"What is he talking about Bruce?"

Kid pulls out articles, gossip rags and one rare European magazine, detailing the times and dates of Bruce being seen with their parents.

Imagine them demanding paternity tests. Imagine either Jason or Dick or both shoving Bruce against a wall having Charlie Day moments like "DID YOU FUCK MY MOM BRUCE"

Imagine the devastation of them thinking Bruce only took them in because they were his biological children.

"Why didn't you tell us?"

"Can you honestly say, any one of you, that if I told you the truth, you would have stayed?"

as for the twins' mask selection, that was all Splinter. i think it was probably the last big "fatherly" thing he did before allowing his three sons to take the helm on raising two tiny turtles.

Meet the people of Woodward Ranch! To most West Virginians, the place is just a normal animal sanctuary, but to those in the know, it’s a cryptid conservation ranch :)

Wyatt Woodward is the grandson of the man who used to own the ranch (I haven’t figured out that guy yet so…). His grandfather passed and left the ranch to Wyatt in his will, despite Wyatt only having met the man once or twice when he was little. Now he’s tasked with running the place, as well as grappling with the reality that monsters, cryptids, and the supernatural are very very much real

Lucy Lovejoy is a farmhand / wrangler on the ranch. She grew up living there and is miffed that Wyatt was given ownership. She believes she’s entitled to it because she actually knows the place and Wyatt didn’t even believe in the supernatural until he came to the ranch

Dr. Herschel Finch is the ranch’s science boy (that’s probably not the official title) and he does his magic + science stuff to keep the ranch safe as well as be the resident cryptid expert. He’s very chaotic neutral and would probably kill someone…yknow…for science! Nobody really quite knows his history, despite him telling lots of strange backstories about his past.

Denny is a feral little orphan werewolf girl that lives on the ranch and has deemed it her home. She causes trouble for Wyatt because he’s easy to mess with, but she’s also the one (other than the Mothman) who sees him as family the fastest

The Mothman is one of the cryptids who regularly stays at the ranch. He was Wyatt’s grandfather’s favourite, and so Wyatt quickly becomes the new favourite of the Mothman. Just look at him 🥺 he’s so,,,🫶

Bonus:

Cryptoria is Finch’s ex-wife. Nobody on the ranch has actually met her, but Finch’s reasoning for why they got divorced was that “she was evil”. They question why he didn’t take that into account when marrying a literal demon, and also why that was the dealbreaker, seeing as he’s not one to be opposed to some evil from time to time, but he doesn’t elaborate. He does explain, however, that she tried to kill him. Despite that, he also actively laments the relationship, clearly missing his hot demon wife. Cryptoria divorced HIM because she found him annoying. They’re soooo toxic for each other. They’re the kind of exes that simultaneously hate each other but would totally make out again if they had the chance.

Don’t know if it’s against the rules to complete TWO egg projects. However I’m learning to become a silversmith and I’ve finished my first ring. It’s not perfect at all, but many hours of time and effort and a whole lot of learning are in it!

I can see him just trying their names? He screws it up half the time. But they always know what he tries to mean anyway

It wouldn't be possible for humans but for robots, it could be but to a limited extent as the mer language is pretty complex. I am of the headcanon that DCA models can 'cheep' (shout out to my friend @/thedemonsurfer for introducing me to it!) which is basically a frequency call to seek out others of their make and model (coincides with the whole counterpart thing too, where DCA models come as paired ai)

This cheeping would be very similar to how mers also cheep, chirrup and click to communicate with one another! In fact, when Ruin and Eclipse first met when Ruin was captured by poachers, the same ones who owned Eclipse Ruin was able to first properly communicate with Eclipse by mimicking his cheeps.

Anyways so back to on if Eclipse could learn to also mimic and learn how to speak the mer language - i'd say he could manage some basics, enough to communicate the essentials. Ruin would teach him of course, but it would take a lot of practice before he would be able to manage something that is actually understandable to mers. I can see scenarios like this occuring quite often:

Eclipse: So... what does this sound mean exactly?

Ruin: It's a greeting to those who are considered friend! It's quite simple really, just repeat as i do! *click followed by a musical whistle*

Eclipse: *Sharp click followed by a low pitch whistle*

Ruin:

In one universe Damian was sent to live with his father at age 10, in another he winds up escaping Nanda Parbat to America after faking his death. He changed his name to Danny and moves in with a family called the Fentons. Danny dies and is revived by the portal and even becomes king of the infinite realms.

Danny falls through a portal into Gotham but not his universes Gotham but one where he becomes Robin instead. He and Robin meet and of course this version of him assumes Danny’s a clone. Everyone else is just confused and Danny just wants to go home to his universe or does he since the GIW doesn’t exist in this universe…
