Love pizza? Try this highly nutritious pizza - it’s gluten-free, dairy-free, yeast-free, guilt-free, full of amino acids, vitamins and other healthy stuff! ♡ Crust 1 cup cooked adzuki beans 1 cup cooked quinoa ½ cup ground sesame seeds ¼ cup hemp oil or coconut oil 2 tablespoons dried seaweed: wakame, kelp or dulse - source of electrolytes and a salty flavour Sauce 1 cup sun-dried tomatoes soak in 1 cup water 1 clove garlic 1 cup chopped tomatoes ½ cup grated cucumber 3 tablespoons hemp oil 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar oregano, rosemary, thyme, sea salt to taste Soak the sun-dried tomatoes in the water for 20 minutes. Retain this water. In a food processor, process all ingredients. Preheat oven to 300°F/150℃ In a food processor, process all crust ingredients until mixture starts to form a ball. Spread mixture on the tray. Spread the Sauce, Add some healthy toppings I used pepper, onion, cucumber, sprouts, seeds Bake for about 45 minutes. Baking time will vary slightly depending on your oven and the desired crispness. {R} Q u i n o a P i z z a 🍕 Yo soy de pizza tradicional y masa casera, ya lo sabéis, pero la PIZZA DE QUINOA de mi amigo Rober @chefbosquet me conquistó hace tiempo y suelo hacerla mucho en casa. La habéis probado alguna vez? Si la respuesta es no, ya estáis tardando 😜 . Podéis encontrar la receta original en el perfil de @chefbosquet 💪🏻 . INGREDIENTES MASA ℹ️ ✔️90 gr quinoa ✔️35 ml agua ✔️1 c/c orégano ✔️1 c/c albahaca ✔️1 c/c sal . INGREDIENTES RELLENO ℹ️ ✔️Mozzarella rallada ✔️Champiñones ✔️Jamón York ✔️Tomates cherries ✔️Orégano . PREPARACIÓN . 1. Limpiamos la quinoa muy bien. Una vez la tengamos la añadimos en un bol con agua y la dejamos reposar 3-4 horas. Pasado ese tiempo, volvemos a limpiarla bien. 2. Con una picadora picamos la quinoa junto con el agua y cuando esté añadimos el orégano, la albahaca y la sal. 3. Pintamos con aceite de oliva un papel apto para horno y con la ayuda de una cuchara extendemos la masa anterior (queda bastante líquida, no os preocupéis) 4. Horneamos a 180º entre 8-10 minutos, hasta que veamos coge color. La sacamos y con cuidado de no quemarnos le damos la vuelta. 5. La rellenamos al gusto. Quinoa really is a magical grain. Not only is it one of few plant based sources of a complete protein, it's also extremely tasty and versatile. Here I've made a basic "focaccia" style flatbread that turns into a beautiful pizza base. The best part? It's SO easy! . . . Easy Peasy Gluten Free Pizza Base Recipe . 1. Soak 1 cup of whole quinoa in water overnight. . 2. Strain and rinse really well (reduces bitterness). . 3. Add 1/3 cup water and 1 tablespoon olive oil and 1/2 teaspoon salt, to quinoa. . 4. Blend or process the mixture until creamy and smooth like pancake batter. (I use my magic bullet - also, it's OK if it's a little gritty, it'll just have a wee bit more tooth). . 5. Line cookie sheet or baking pan with parchment. . 6. Pour mixture onto parchment and smooth out until it is even. How thick your base will be depends on how far you spread the batter. . 6. Bake at 425F for 10-15 minutes, then. . 7. Once browned around the edges, flip and bake for another 10 minutes. The outer crust will be crispy. . 8. Remove from pan and set on rack to cool. . 9. Once completely cooled, top with pizza dressings and bake at 425 on top rack for 10 minutes. Quinoa Pizza Crust
Serves 8
Ingredients
1.5 cups, Quinoa (rinse and soak overnight)
.75 tsp of dried spices – tarragon, basil, sea salt, onion powder and garlic powder
¾ cup, Water
1 tbsp, Olive Oil
Please note, this recipe resulted in a crust that was about 1.25 cm thick and really filling. For a thinner crust, you could decrease the quantities – but I haven’t tested variations. So please proceed with caution.
Directions
Pre-heat oven to 450F. Place 12 inch cast iron pan in oven for 12 minutes.
While pre-heating - Drain and rinse Quinoa. Place Quinoa in blender. Add spices and water. Blend until the mixture turns into a batter like consistency. This only took a couple of minutes in the Vitamix, times may vary based on your blender. You will know it is ready when it’s a bit runny, similar to a pancake mix but it should not be watery.
Add olive oil into the hot pan and put it back in the oven for an additional 2 minutes.
After oil has been heated, swirl the pan to evenly coat the cast iron pan. At this point you can pour the batter into the pan. It should pour pretty evenly.
Place the pan back in the oven for about 20-22 minutes, until golden.
While this is happening, prepare your toppings. I used homemade tomato and bbq sauce, rotisserie chicken, low fat caramelized onions, part – skim cheese, oregano, cilantro and roasted garlic and red peppers (no oil was used). These toppings came to roughly 60 calories per serving.
Once crust is ready, remove from oven and add toppings (save any herbs for final step). Place pan back into the oven until cheese is melted.
Remove from oven, allow the pizza to rest. Add any herbs to garnish. Remove the pizza from the pan onto a cutting board. Slice into 8 servings and Enjoy!
