A sad smile and a shake of her head; she hadn't thought of those days in a long time. She usually pushed those thoughts away. ❝ Used t' picture havin' B-Man tied up in the front row so he couldn't interrupt the ceremony ... and havin' my Quinntets as my Bride's-men. Ivy woulda' been my Maid of Honor. Course, she woulda' hated that ... I'm derailin' this. Point is: I've been in your shoes, Gil. You don't need 'im. You want 'im; crave 'im; pine for 'im, even. But you don't need 'im. You're strong enough. ❞

"Oh, no -- of course not, Harley!" Gilda is quick to respond, for she'd hate for her friend to feel unimportant. It had nothing to do with her, it really is all to do with Gilda herself. She's still working a lot out internally, still not quite sure how to open up since, very recently, there wasn't much of anyone around to open up to. Harvey was always working ... always ... working. "I just feel like ..." Gilda's eyes are pointed downward, staring holes into the tips of her toes, but with a sigh she finally looks up to meet Harley's eyes. "I feel like I wasn't made for much more than being a wife or a mother ... even though we never did get to that bit ..."

              What? Could he come with?

             In all her time in Gotham, never had she had a potential hostage ask to come with her when she moved on to her next location. Was he a snitch? An apprentice? A jokester? What was this kid’s deal? It was . . . funny. Really funny! Hmm. Should she let him? He did look rather familiar. 

             Could it be he was well-versed in the underground? One of those little thieves for hire? She could potentially use his help if she was going to follow through with her plan to assemble her Quinntets again. Those were the best days of her crime career!

              Oh, the golden days. They pass faster than milk spoiled. And she should know. She had to miss breakfast this morning due to her 2% masquerading as tapioca pudding.

             Know what? This could be fun! A real indie film experience! She could put the mentor in tormentor! She could be the Willy Wonka of the crime world for this kid. She could see it now! “Clown with me, and you’ll be.... in a world ready for domination. Take a look and you’ll see, we’ll escape incarceration!” Oh, this was fun.

             She was probably humming and definitely wasn’t responding, but she was busy being a SONGSTRESS and the anticipation must be incredible for this kid! “We’ll begin, with some sin, leading in... to fiery damnation! What we’ll do...to THE BAT is.... castration?” Well, she could work on it. She was no Lin Manuel Miranda. Or whoever did that chocolate movie. She was just a girl with a dream. Of robbing people out of their finest jewelry.

            ❝ Know what? Yeah, okay. ❞ She asked before scrunching her nose, she had an important question before they could make their getaway. ❝ You too young t’drive? ❞

Ah, if only V was here so she could scream out orders and have the little runt jot it down in her head. For example, the moment she saw the stupid fuck pull out his phone during her and Harley’s little money run, she would’ve said something along the lines of:

But V just had to be a chicken catch up on her goddamn gadget making stuff and leave these two ladies to it. Kids these days. It’s fine honestly because even without the twerp she can do what she does best.
