I don't know what this reveals but this exercise required real thought from me. Probably, why I am on the sad blue hell site. XD Five things that make me less unhappy:

The raging debate in the Aeropress Addicts Facebook group about whether or not you can make an authentic expresso with the device. Never has something so trivial mattered so much. I am deeply amused when reading comments stating, "DON'T BE PART OF THE PROBLEM!". It's comforting to know that coffee and dog people are equally pedantic. XD

My book club is reading The Vampire's Bride by Jessica Grayson and it's a wonderful, slow burn romance. *swoon*

It's Thanksgiving this weekend in Canada. That means pumpkin pie with my non-expresso!

I read a theory that in Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Cameron Frye is actually an imaginary character and the alter ego of Ferris Bueller. Alternatively, is Ferris the character that is actually imaginary? That sound you hear is your brain exploding.

It's Whumptober so I have regular stories to look forward to from @quietlyimplode. As a little treat.

Masterlist of Natasha Fic. PART ONE

This is in no particular order, my one line reviews are not adequate and the relationship / tag is not specifically together (could be friends/lovers; just means that that’s who it’s based on). 

One day I’ll change it round to genre .. maybe. Please take note of trigger warnings before reading, there are a range of fics with a range of warnings; I have not included them here but I will when I have time. Above everything, take care of yourself.

Fanfic Author Support and Recs!

This is honestly a random post but I just felt the need to get something out there in support of some of my favorite writers in this tiny corner of the mcu community who all write wlw fanfic (specifically Nat or wanda x reader) bc I've been seeing a lot of my favorite writers upset about their lack of reblogs/support.

Must Be Tuesday : Clint swoops downwards, aiming for the shelter of an overhang on one of the fancy city buildings, but he’s too late.

A Kissing Story : Natasha is the first to arrive for movie night, even though this latest team bonding activity is Tony's idea.

Smile For The Living : Laura reaches for her gun when she hears the sound of an engine coming up the road towards the house, the familiar grip comforting as she wraps her hand around it.

Box of Tricks : Clint wakes up to the sound of voices and someone clattering around in the kitchen, which means he fell asleep with his hearing aids in and now his ears feel sticky and achy.

unconventional tokens of affection : Clint rubs at his dripping hair one-handed with a towel on the short walk from the showers to his locker, certain in this moment that there’s nothing better in life than being clean.

tangled webs we weave : “I’m sure I have no idea what the Deputy Director is referring to,” Barton says, bland from his neatly combed hair to the toes of his recently cleaned, standard issue combat boots and currently at ease in Fury’s office.

Natasha : She takes on human form as Clint finishes setting up a long-distance target at SHIELD’s indoor range. 

So in trends, it looks like I almost always start with a named character and their action, which occassionally involves speaking. Apart from the one time it was a rock doing something. I should... probably vary that.

6. and 7. are my favourites, because they set up a dynamic between two characters, and not one necessarily expected between them. I struggle with first lines though. 9. is bugging me because I’ve just thought that ‘Clint is eight years old when the circus comes to town’ would have been much better.

Throw one of these WIP titles into my asks and I’ll tell you a bit about it or maybe post a few lines!

So titles are always the hardest thing for me, which is why I have separate documents for possible fic ideas and possible titles (essentially just song lines because I am oh-so creative 😅). I think it makes more sense to just post a list of ideas here (which are sometimes really just one scene without any plot, so don’t expect too much) and if you are interested, I can tell you more or post a few lines if I have already written something for them.
