En el año 2013, arqueólogos descubrieron cientos de esferas doradas en el Templo de la Serpiente Emplumada, también conocido como el Templo de Quetzalcóatl, en Teotihuacán, México. Estas esferas, encontradas en una cámara subterránea, tienen un diámetro de entre 4 y 12 centímetros y están hechas de arcilla recubierta con pirita, lo que les da su brillo dorado.

La función exacta de estas esferas no se conoce con certeza, pero se especula que pudieron tener un propósito ritual o simbólico, dado que fueron encontradas en una zona que parece haber sido utilizada para ceremonias religiosas. Las esferas y otros artefactos hallados en la misma área subrayan la importancia de Teotihuacán como un centro ceremonial y cultural en la antigua Mesoamérica.

also imagine deciding to learn about this au only to find out that your comfort character (who in this au due to circumstances, has become a demi fiend) reasonably goes berserk realising that this demon she just encountered was gonna kill her dad so in response she immediately starts beating said demon to death brutally in a fit of rage.

(I mean the good thing is that her dad won’t die to said demon now so it’s a good thing tbh)

It's a Couatl! Or Quetzalcoatl it's a deity from Aztec culturally originally but it shows up sometimes as as monster in video games (I saw one the first time while playing persona 3)

In the story its quite the spoiler but it's one of my favorite creatures so here it is

and here it is in the adventurer's bible, very cute

good question, but there is no "a Quetzalcoatl" there is only the feathered serpent deity and that is his name.

dear fellow dragonkins: "queztel" is not a dragon species. He is a Mexica deity. Calling yourself a queztel is racist. Because he is not a dragon, but a very important deity from a people that have been genocided and colonised for hundreds of years. If you see someone calling themselves that, call it out.

also, the Amphithere is a historical winged heraldric dragon/serpent! It's much more realistic than calling yourself a mesoamerican god!
