apparently controversial opinion (????), but I really like this question-and-answer from the recent English-language interview with Ryoko Kui

Senshi is a very unselfconscious person; he doesn't care about how he is perceived as long as he gets to do his own thing. I felt a little "oh, duh" when I read it - of course he doesn't care about flashing bulge

more importantly, I love it as an insight of the kind of mental exercise that defines dunmeshi - Kui-sensei exploring things that make her uncomfortable. she takes the time to identify the discomfort (old man in underwear) and think through what makes someone behave that way, or what might be the appeal of something that is unappealing to her. it's the thought process that gave us such a wealth of earnestly depicted characters to whom we are encouraged to extend compassion and understanding

If you cooked a gnome. What could you make? But- this is me assuming they're made up of red meat, or meat at all,

Could I chop them into a salad? Are they more gelatinous inside? So much we don't know,

But once again, this is me assuming they're prey animals, they seem to be scavengers? Do they just eat whatever they come across? I assume flavor would depend on the diet of the individual then? What type of predators would hunt for a gnome?

From what I've seen they don't travel alone much, is it a river otter situation where they ward off hunters by numbers and not strength? Because that would effect their diet, based on how observant of danger they are, what risks they take for food.

You know, I think Laios just wishes he was in Miitopia. You can eat everything in that game. Rocks, armor, swords, shields you name it. If you can kill it, you can eat it. He would have the time of his life.

Like, god damn if they aren't just absolutely magnetic. I immediately fell for everyone's favorite failgirl Marcille and Laios' autistic swag has captivated me. And oof Chilchuck has such a hold over me. Like, the mimic episode??? I don't know what happened but I'm completely obsessed now. Seriously, I can feel it in my chest, like an actual physical reaction. And don't forget about Laios' enabler and chef extraordinaire, Senshi.

not to keep talking about Laios in Pokémon (except I will) but it's a shame he inhabits a Legends Arceus style time in my mind bc he would have thrived scolding people (especially trainers) over the dietary needs of a Pokémon.

Hotness is subjective so probably because of your personal concept of what hot is which might or might not be influenced by current trends
