Apple pie: How does your f/o sleep? Do they snooze soundly next to you or do they toss and turn etc?

Leon is definitely a heavy sleeper, but he’s also an early riser. He does snooze, sometimes snoring, but not too often. The times when he tosses and turns started after the battle with Eternatus. He has nightmares from it once in a while, so Dawnya tend to call Hop and Gloria / Victor to help confirm it’s okay.

Peach: Who’s the little spoon and who’s the big spoon?

Leon is definitely the big spoon most days. He kind of likes ... feeling her next to him. Helps him remind himself that she is still with him because he ... really did miss her that entire decade. But he’s not opposed to being the little spoon. In fact, whenever he’s stressed, he likes being held. He likes being held in general, don’t get him wrong, but feeling her arms around makes him feel that much better.

Shortcake: What’s your f/o’s love language? (physical affection, giving gifts, etc)

God, he’s extremely vocal and showy (but to a degree, as he knows she doesn’t like extravagant gestures). He tends to be very vocal, but physical affection is always a thing whenever words are too much due to the fact she’s sensitive to noises. A thing he got from her, whenever she seems stressed in public, he pokes her hat up and kisses her softly, mostly on the cheek or forehead. Holding hands is also a thing he always does, as he is just ... used to her holding his hand.

📚: what kind of books/articles does your f/o like to read?

Romance novels. No, really. I couldn’t help it, when I first found out about that, I laughed. He also ready a large amount of non-fiction, mostly life sciences and psychology. I credit myself for getting him into that, hehe.

💢: a small pet peeve your f/o has?

when someone makes a monotonous noise for too long, like click their pen, tap their finger on something, stuff like that. It drives him up the wall. 

🎨: does your f/o like to create? (needlepointing, drawing, knitting, putting a puzzle together, etc)

not really, no. That’s more my thing.

1. how did you discover your f/o’s content? My dad bought the move JL Gods and Monsters on DVD, and I’m a huge nerd so I jumped at the chance of watching it with him

2. how old were you when you discovered your f/o’s content? I was 15 because I watched it the year it came out

3. describe the first time you watched/played/read your f/o’s source content. I don’t remember a whole lot because the first time I watched it I was very disinterested and confused. I was confused by the characters and a bit of the plot, and I didn’t watch the movie again until a few months ago

4. who was your first favorite character when you initially got into your f/o’s source content? was it your f/o from the very beginning? So I didn’t have a favorite character the first time I watched it. Upon second watch though I immediately gravitated to Kirk! But tbh I love Hernan and Bekka a lot too so I’d say they’re all my favorites, I just happen to be in love with Kirk

Think Thoughts 

WARNING: this fic deals with mentions of medication and mental health themes. Please, do not read if any of these may upset, or harm you.

The creaking sounds of the bathroom cabinets forcefully pushes you back into reality. A beam of light from the window bounces happily off the silver knob, forcing you to look at the pill bottle on the sink. It harasses you, just by sitting there.

Pushing onwards, you run your hand along the wallpaper, faded by the sun, but nonetheless ever the same. If your brain had a light switch, you’d beg for it to be turned off, to stop the rampaging thoughts in your mind. Mental health deteriorating quite literally before your eyes, you seek out the man sat in the television room.

“How was your rest?”

Lafayette sits, reading a book, the spine propped open on his lap. You note that he’s gotten a fair amount through since yesterday, but you can’t remember the name of the book.

“Fine.”

Is all you say, unable to get anything else to come out of your mouth. He’s watching your behavior, but you strenuously shake off the feeling.

He’s got a right to know. But the other half of your brain tells you to shut up.

So you do.

“Are you hungry? I’ll admit there hasn’t been much in the fridge…”

Gilbert trails off, standing and closing his book, marking the page along. You follow close behind into the kitchen, watching as he digs around in his pockets for something.

“You’ve barely said a word.”

You fell out of reality once more. Damn.

“I’m fine.”

You say again.

“(y/n),”

He says it so softly, it takes you a moment to register that he even said it.

“Talk to me. What’s going on?”

Shaking your head you pull away, even if there is nothing to pull away from. He’s just standing there, like a statue. You can’t even look him in the eyes.

“What’s going on in there?”

So he knows. Fair enough, you weren’t doing a very good job of hiding the fact. Days where you wanted no one to bother you, you were the champion at hiding. Days like today, you felt like someone had run you over with a truck. Several times.

“My thoughts,”

You start, but don’t necessarily know where to go from there. Your thoughts? What about them? The fact that they constantly mock you, make you feel like absolute garbage? That they bring up old memories, a bunch of ‘I should’ve did this, not that?’ They torture you relentlessly, giving you no peace since this journey began.

“My thoughts.”

Again, but it comes out as a croak.

“They…I can’t explain it. But they’re there. Always. Every hour of every day. When I’m awake, when I’m sleeping, if I even can sleep. I…”

Your jaw snaps shut. That’s enough. You explained it best you could. And it still sounded like a guttural of nonsense.

“Well.”

Lafayette starts, standing straight up, hands finding the kitchen counter behind him. You just blankly stare, waiting for the ‘do you wanna talk about it’ or ‘that doesn’t make any sense’.

But it doesn’t come. Not by a long-shot.

“I’m here. I care. I promise you that. Mental health isn’t a joke to me, (y/n), I’m positive you know that by now.”

He pauses, and you notice how white his knuckles are.

“I’m always here for you.”

Your gaze moves to the window, where the light bounces through once more. Lafayette follows your gaze, not needing a vocal response from you to know that you understood.

“I’ve got an idea,”

He says, leaning away from the counter, and offering a hand out.

“Would you like to go somewhere quiet? Or take a walk even,”

You stare at his hand for a moment, but soon enough yours subconsciously reaches out for his.

“Only if you’re up for it.”

“Yes.”
