What scene did you first put down? I can’t say for sure but!! I went back through my tweets when I first came up with it and I found this screencap as its first reference omg.

What's your favorite line of dialogue? Um!!! I guess the convo they have in Neverland where they’re mimicking each other with the “sh*t [whoever] says” meme.

Were there any alternate versions of this fic? JUST THE ONE. Though I joked about a sequel where Zelena started watching genre tv and joined fandom and became a Swan Queen shipper lmAO.

What do you like best about this fic? I guess that it was such a ridiculous premise and it still came together in a way that’s pretty coherent and canon-compliant! I was surprised at how easily it wrote itself omg, it’s rare that a fic is that cooperative.

What inspired your Supernova story?

I asked a few people on Twitter if writing a SQ mermaid AU would (HYPOTHETICALLY) be a good idea, and a lot of people showed interest in it, so I decided to write it! It took me ridiculously long (considering that it's not really That long a fic), like almost half a year, I think? There's, for example, a really early version of the fic where Rumple was the bride, but it didn't really work, and my beta came up with the idea of Zelena as the bride (bless her and everyone else for helping me out!)

Tell us about your writing history:

SQ is the only fandom I've written for! I had participated in SQW writing challenges/prompts before this, but that's it.

What is an interesting fact about your writing style?

I'm pretty uninteresting in that regard, to be honest. Sometimes when I'm about to fall asleep, I get a fic idea, and I just won't be able to fall asleep because I get so excited! I also (sadly) can't really write fiction in my first language because I find it very difficult.

What other stories have you written?

I've written some other SQ stories, and you can find all of them on ao3! I've grown quite fond of "Storybrooke does Star Wars (in four parts! we pretend the other three don't exist)" (and I think I write shorter stories better than longer ones). I love every SQ fic coalitiongirl and amycarey have written! There are so many talented writers in the fandom... I could keep listing fics I love all day.

the first character i first fell in love with: paige...the love of my lifethe character I never expected to love as much as i do now: prue! which wouldn’t be the case if i’d started watching charmed as an adult, but as a child that Internalized Misogyny kicked in and i assumed i had to “choose” between prue and paige because paige replaces prue, so i loathed her for no particular reason. she’s my favorite after paige now, though.the character everyone else loves that i don’t: leo? goodbye leo, no one cares. also chris...the male characters on this show in general, like they’re fine but rarely anything to write home about lmao. the character i love that everyone else hates: paige...angelthe character i used to love but don’t any longer: no one comes to mindthe character i would totally smooch: very, very much paige–i mean, high key any of them, but...paige. the character i’d want to be like: still paige, but also early seasons/prue-era phoebe the character I’d slap: victor...sam...most of the girls’ love interests, especially glen and richard. coop just for being boring and obnoxiousa pairing that I love: there are literally no main pairings on this show that i love. kyle/paige was the most compelling for me, but i still don’t know that i wanted them...to end up together. the only good ships are phoebe/kyra the seer and piper/mark, the ghost from dead man dating in S1a pairing that I despise: richard/paige, glen/paige, phoebe/the 5+ identical blonde men she dated in S6-7. piper/leo started out good and soured by mid-series. the end games (henry/paige, phoebe/coop) were boring, unimaginative and really obviously shoe-horned in at the last second

my first thoughts on the show: it was cute, unconventional, was interesting to see a different perspective of fairytales I knew

my thoughts now: UM WHERE DO I EVEN BEGIN I no longer watch it for the fairytales I purely am watching for regina mills/the possibility of swan queen happening. Tbh I don’t think ouat is a good show anymore, I don’t even think it’s moderately good…? Character development doesn’t exist for any character at all at this point, even for regina I feel like its stagnated. I think it’s kinda expected for shows with genres like this- I begin to get the feeling that they’re going in circles/dragging the plot just to fill episodes, instead of making episodes to achieve a vision they’d set. (Understandably since its technically entertainment) Comparing ouat to other shows, watching it doesn’t lift my spirits, I can’t really relate realistically to any character, there is no ship on the show canon that I religiously ship, I don’t learn anything/get new perspectives…..I don’t know if I’ll continue watching after the winter break tbh…!!! Maybe if I hear about sq but…,,hmm p unlikely it seems
