What inspired your Supernova story?

I asked a few people on Twitter if writing a SQ mermaid AU would (HYPOTHETICALLY) be a good idea, and a lot of people showed interest in it, so I decided to write it! It took me ridiculously long (considering that it's not really That long a fic), like almost half a year, I think? There's, for example, a really early version of the fic where Rumple was the bride, but it didn't really work, and my beta came up with the idea of Zelena as the bride (bless her and everyone else for helping me out!)

Tell us about your writing history:

SQ is the only fandom I've written for! I had participated in SQW writing challenges/prompts before this, but that's it.

What is an interesting fact about your writing style?

I'm pretty uninteresting in that regard, to be honest. Sometimes when I'm about to fall asleep, I get a fic idea, and I just won't be able to fall asleep because I get so excited! I also (sadly) can't really write fiction in my first language because I find it very difficult.

What other stories have you written?

I've written some other SQ stories, and you can find all of them on ao3! I've grown quite fond of "Storybrooke does Star Wars (in four parts! we pretend the other three don't exist)" (and I think I write shorter stories better than longer ones). I love every SQ fic coalitiongirl and amycarey have written! There are so many talented writers in the fandom... I could keep listing fics I love all day.

What is your favorite type of fanfiction?

What inspired your Supernova story?

SPOILERS AHEAD! A Swan Queen video featuring the song "Kill My Boyfriend" by Natalie Kills gave me the basic idea, then it took me some time to decide which character would have which role, would Emma or Regina be abused, or both? Would they meet in a support group, perhaps one of them being the counselor? (I'd still like to read those versions actually, you may see it as a prompt :p) I had a few versions before settling on the coffe shop AU. Toward the end I was really torn between an unhappy ending where Emma couldn't handle the fact that Regina killed a man, and the bittersweet one, but in the end I decided the more hopeful conclusion.

There were also ideas about having Emma kill him for Regina, but I thought that would take away too much from Regina and make her too broken, I wanted her to do it herself as a way of standing up for herself and feel in control of her life. END OF SPOILERS! I got the idea in April 2016 so it took me some time to get it done, but I didn't work exclusively with it until closer to the end. I had 7000 words written when I signed up for Supernova, gosh, I thought it'd be 15 k tops in the end. I'm not good at calculating fic length, evidently.

Tell us about your writing history for fandom/general, and have you participated in SQ big bang or writing challenges prior?

This was my first challenge! I haven't written a lot, I'm a very slow writer, but Swan Queen is my main ship in writing. I have a ton of ideas and beginnings, hopefully something will be posted soon. Angst is my favorite genre. You may have guessed or realized xD I like to make my characters suffer, but usually there's a happy or at least semi-happy ending. Usually.

What is an interesting fact about you?

When I get motivated, I can drop everything and spend hours on end dedicated to writing. It happened yesterday actually, I think I sat 11-12 hours or something, possibly not even a bathroom break. But I still have a hard time to focus specifically on writing and I probably spend half the time fangirling... So, yeah, not efficient, but then again English is my second language and I'm a perfectionist. And yes, I do seem to have a theme in most of my fics. Aside from favouring AUs, people's faces seem to connect with the ground a lot and there's also a surprising amount of car crashes. Guess it's my dislike for driving shining through, there are so many wreckless drivers out there!

What other stories have you written?

Gravitation In Play - Cambrano, something of an SQ medical AU / ouat cross over with House and Miami Medical.

Marry Me - My fluffiest fic so far, I believe, but not without its moments. A somewhat different oneshot (fandom AU) that people seemed to take well to.

Not About Angels - Dragon Queen with past Swan Queen, suits multishippers who like angst, I presume. Mental hospital AU where Emma is dead and Regina is not coping well.
