"is  he  taller?"    gaze  seems  to  shift  between  jeanny  and  the  recently  -  returned  terry  silver,  full  of  caution,  curiosity  and  suspicion,  all  blended  together.  a  part  of  him  isn’t  surprised  to  see  the  disgraced    (  or  apparently,  not  disgraced,  if  he’s  here  )    sensei.    ⸻    don’t  men  like  that  always  land  on  their  feet?  the  difference  is,  back  in  the  valley,  it  all  felt  a  little  easier  to  process.  here,  his  presence  feels  dangerous.  even  his  mom  stands  on  edge  and  anything  that  bothers  her,  automatically  bothers  her  son’s  protective  nature.  it  shows  in  bouncing  knee,  or  one  nail  chipping  polish  off  another.  he  can’t  relax  and  his  usual  methods  aren’t  as  readily  available  here  in  barcelona  as  they  are  at  home.    "i  feel  like  he  looks  taller."    he  blinks,  pondering  his  own  musing  for  a  moment  before  finally  turning  attention  fully  to  his  teammate,  focusing  on  her  instead.    "maybe  his  powers  in  his  ponytail,  like  throwing  kryptonite  at  superman.  one  of  us  could  tackle  him,  the  other  could  chop  it  off."    there’s  a  part  of  him  that’s  only  half  -  serious.  nate  is  mostly  trying  to  lighten  a  tense  mood,  though  deadpan  expression  makes  it  difficult  to  tell.  the  boy  has  always  been  a  little  odd,  a  little  mysterious.

"The   other   cobras   seem   to   be   your   bodyguards,   I   hate   them."   Maybe   they   don't   trust   her   enough   or   this   is   just   what   happens   under   a   new   regime   like   Kim   and   Kreese.   She   is   not   particularly   fond   of   how   Kwon   is   all   over   her   sister   but   she   has   to   endure   it.   Grief   is   a   companion   she   does   not   know.   She   lost   her   uncle   Tommy,   and   her   mother   had   never   been   in   her   life   to   be   grieved,   but   Tory   knew   her   mother   and   only   her   mother   for   all   those   years.   "How   you   holding   up?"

     𝗢𝗛  𝗦𝗛𝗘  𝗪𝗔𝗦  𝗚𝗢𝗜𝗡𝗚  𝗧𝗢  𝗕𝗘  𝗜𝗡  𝗦𝗢  𝗠𝗨𝗖𝗛  𝗧𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗕𝗟𝗘  𝗪𝗛𝗘𝗡  𝗦𝗛𝗘  𝗚𝗢𝗧  𝗛𝗢𝗠𝗘,     not  necessarily  with  her  dad  because  she  doubted  that  he  even  noticed  she  wasn’t  home,  but  josh  was  going  to  give  her  so  much  shit  for  not  coming  home,  especially  since  she  told  him  that  she  would  be.     but  she  hadn’t  meant  to  stay  the  night,  she  had  planned  to  be  home  late  and  yet  when  jeanny  had  fallen  asleep  when  they  had  been  watching  netflix,  she  had  fallen  asleep  on  her,  her  head  resting  on  deena’s  shoulder  and  her  arm  around  her.     the  only  way  she  would’ve  been  able  to  get  out  was  by  waking  her  up  and  she  didn’t  want  to  do  that,  she  looked  so  cute  and  soft  whilst  asleep,  like  completely  at  peace.     it  didn’t  take  long  for  her  to  fall  asleep  either,  curled  up  against  her  and  she  couldn’t  help  but  think  that  this  was  something  she  had  always  wanted,  someone  who  felt  safe  to  fall  asleep  on  her  and  someone  she  was  willing  to  get  into  trouble  for.     deena  couldn’t  help  but  think  that  jeanny  was  definitely  that  person.
