CK SEASON SIX PART TWO SPOILER STARTERS ; tory and sam for @queencvbra

"It's   not   what   it   looks   like."   Sam   points   out   as   she   watches   Axel   walk   away   now   that   she   got   to   the   hotel   and   Tory   is   there,   for   once,   without   the   other   cobras   around.   She   does   not   want   to   think   of   her   as   an   enemy,   not   with   everything   that   had   happened   to   make   them   be   civil   with   one   another.  

"He   was   just   walking   me   home.   He   was   doing   kata."   She   does   frown   a   little   at   how   odd   it   had   been,   flashback   in   her   mind   toward   the   marks   on   his   back,   and   how   it   reminds   her   of   Cobra   Kai   and   what   they   had   done   to   her   father,   to   Robby,   to   Tory   and   god   knows,   everyone   else.   "Seems   Cobra   Kai   isn't   the   only   dojo   with   a   harsh   policy   on   teaching."

Axel'   eyes   take   a   moment   to   fixture   back   on   the   blonde   before   him,   the   question   flying   over   his   head   for   a   while   as   he   set   back   his   jaw,   the   gentle   sting   of   the   hit   on   his   head   giving   him   a   tingling   sensation.   "I   am   always   okay."   The   iron   dragon   captain   points   out,   eyes   across   the   mat   trying   to   find   Sam's   but   she   is   gone   now,   likely   hating   him   for   what   had   happened   at   the   mat.   If   he   didn't.   .   .then   the   one   with   the   damage   would   be   him.   Axel   just   shakes   his   head   to   his   own   silent   monologue   before   looking   back   at   Tory.  

"You   should   be   with   your   boyfriend."   A   simple   remark   before   eyes   fall   down,   knowing   his   sensei   wasn't   around,   he   scratches   the   back   of   his   head   and   up   toward   where   the   hit   had   landed   on   his   forehead.   "How   is   he?"   He   didn't   meant   to   break   or   cause   that   much   damage.   The   move   had   been   taught   but   even   he   had   his   doubts.   It   had   been   Silver's   whispers   that   got   his   sensei   so   much   into   the   desire   to   win.

Robby   leaned   against   the   brick   wall   of   the   empty   alley,   his   fingers   tugging   at   the   sleeves   of   his   hoodie,   the   weight   of   his   own   words   settling   on   his   chest.   The   night   was   quieter   than   he’d   expected,   the   sounds   of   the   city   muffled   by   the   late   hour.   He   glanced   at   Tory,   who   stood   a   few   paces   away,   arms   folded   tightly   across   her   chest.

She   had   that   familiar   guarded   look,   the   one   she   wore   when   she   was   hiding   something   or   maybe   when   she   just   didn’t   feel   like   talking.   He   shifted   uncomfortably,   wishing   he   could   say   this   better,   but   the   words   were   already   tumbling   out.   “I’m   sorry,   Tory,”   he   said,   his   voice   low.   “I   should’ve   noticed...   I   should’ve   noticed   that   you’ve   been   gone.   You’ve   been   absent,   and   I—I   didn't   even   think   to   ask   why.   I   should’ve   paid   attention."

His   hands   dropped   to   his   sides,   and   for   a   moment,   he   regretted   not   being   more   aware   of   her.   He   had   just   been   too   wrapped   up   in   everything   else   to   see   it.

“I   don’t   know,   maybe   I   just...   got   caught   up   in   all   the   crap.   But   it’s   not   an   excuse,”   Robby   continued,   his   gaze   flicking   to   the   ground   before   meeting   her   eyes,   hoping   she’d   hear   him.   “I   am   sorry.”

Daniel   stood   in   the   quiet   of   the   empty   halls   of   the   hotel,   and   he   took   a   breath   to   steady   himself.   Tory   Nichols   stood   across   from   him,   her   expression   guarded,   arms   crossed   tightly   over   her   chest.   He   could   see   the   tension   radiating   from   her   and   he   moves   in   as   he   often   did   when   they   first   began   talking.   He   would   hate   to   see   all   their   advances   to   go   down   because   of   this.

"I'm   sorry,"   Daniel   started,   his   voice   gentle   but   firm,   the   way   he   often   spoke   to   his   own   kids   when   the   situation   called   for   more   than   just   guidance.   "Sorry   for   interrupting   your   fight   with   Sam   back   home.   I   know   it   probably   seemed   unfair,   and   I   get   why   you’re   upset."   Why   you   went   back   to   Cobra   Kai.   He   knows   the   power   the   cobra   has   when   one   needs   comfort   and   the   strength   they   cannot   find   elsewhere.

He   hesitated,   searching   her   eyes   for   any   sign   that   she   was   listening.   There   was   a   flicker   there—something   he   couldn't   quite   place.   "But   that’s   not   the   only   reason   I   wanted   to   talk   to   you,"   he   continued,   his   tone   softening   even   more.   "I’m   sorry   about   what   happened   to   your   mother.   Truly.   No   one   should   have   to   go   through   that,   especially   not   at   your   age.   I   lost   my   own   father   when   I   was   eight   and   I   know   how   it   sits   at   heart."

Daniel   wasn’t   sure   if   his   words   were   breaking   through   the   armor   she   wore   so   fiercely,   but   he   hoped,   even   if   just   for   a   moment,   that   she   would   know   he   was   sincere.   Mr.   Miyagi's   grief   had   been   quiet   when   his   own   father   died.   Daniel   had   felt   it   deep   and   raw   and   he   lives   with   the   echoes   of   it.   Tory   went   back   to   where   she   felt   safe.   It   does   hurt   to   know   he   couldn't   provide   that   to   her,   but   he   gets   it.   "How   are   you?"

"Dad   said   you   can   stay   in   Cobra   Kai   but   if   you   loose   you   are   grounded   for   a   year."   Jeanny   said,   even   if   she   is   upset   by   this   turn   of   events,   she   cannot   be   mad   at   her   and   her   father   already   seem   to   have   known   she   would   gravitate   toward   Cobra   Kai   once   again,   it   was   only   natural,   so   Jeanny   tries   not   to   judge   about   it.   After   a   moment   she   sits   beside   her,   now   that   Kwon   and   the   rest   seem   away   from   Tory.  

"The   other   cobras   seem   to   be   your   bodyguards,   I   hate   them."   Maybe   they   don't   trust   her   enough   or   this   is   just   what   happens   under   a   new   regime   like   Kim   and   Kreese.   She   is   not   particularly   fond   of   how   Kwon   is   all   over   her   sister   but   she   has   to   endure   it.   Grief   is   a   companion   she   does   not   know.   She   lost   her   uncle   Tommy,   and   her   mother   had   never   been   in   her   life   to   be   grieved,   but   Tory   knew   her   mother   and   only   her   mother   for   all   those   years.   "How   you   holding   up?"

"You  hold  yourself  down  nicely  up  there.  almost  didn't  need  me."  Shutting  down  his  morph,  the  vision  of  red  turns  back  into  the  civilian  firefighter,  a  welcoming  smile  on  his  lips  as  he  looks  over  at  the  girl  who  had  been  taking  down  a  few  of  the  lackies  left  and  right.  "My  team  is  still  on  the  way  and  I  could  use  some  help  putting  all  these  people  to  safety,  can  you  do  that?"

 There  is  no  time  for  chit  chat  though  and  he  is  making  sure  that  there  isn't  really  time  to  question  the  authority  under  his  voice  as  he  speaks.  She  can  handle  herself  enough  that  she  can  help  out  with  one  of  the  tasks  he  feels  comfortable  handing  over  to  a  teenager  (  how  did  some  of  the  older  teams  managed  to  save  the  world  and  do  their  SATs  is  beyond  him  ).  "And  no,  i'm  not  handing  you  my  blaster."

Too   much   like   Jason.   He   thinks.   He   can   see   why   Jason   liked   her.   That   spunk.   That   energy   that   comes   from   people   who   are   so   alike,   that   had   faced   so   many   things   in   the   past,   who   had   to   fight   for   survival.   Bruce   had   lost   many   things   in   the   past,   but   he   had   never   fought   for   his   life   on   the   streets   of   Gotham.   Gotham   had   taken   his   parents   before   him   and   hardened   him   to   a   reality.   A   senseless   crime,   one   he   doesn't   want   to   repeat.   "It   would   be   too   easy.   And   then,   I   wouldn't   be   able   to   stop."

cris I need to know how hawk feels about taking tory's spot in the sekai taikai squad after everything that went down

NOT GOOD. He was thrilled for the opportunity to go after all because he’d been really bummed about how shit went down with Demetri. He gave up on the fight to let Demetri have it even though he really wanted it because their friendship was crumbling before his eyes and he didn’t want to make it worse. It was like his silent apology. But he was disappointed anyway. In his ideal world it would have been himself, Miguel, Sam, Tory, Robby, and Demetri. They were the ones who he’d have wanted to have a trip to Barcelona with and the ones he think would be the strongest contenders to go - even Demetri who Hawk thinks had improved so much since he started. He wasn’t lying when he said the 6th spot was his. The only reason he’s going though being because Tory bowed out and especially the reason why? It doesn’t feel good.

We discussed the timeline and how fucking weird it is but he tried really hard to talk to Tory. Get her to come back even knowing what that meant for him because he’s worked so hard on letting C.obra K.ai and the cut throat instincts it gave him go because it’s not the guy he wants to be anymore. Unfortunately he’s in a weird middle ground still where he doesn’t know entirely what he wants and who he is and he’s walking a fine line between doing what’s best for him and doing what a good friend/brother would do. He wants Tory to be happy though, first and foremost, and it bothers him that he has no fucking idea how he can help.

I think if anyone can relate to the situation she found herself in at the end it’s him. I think he’s held onto the ck way tightest even if he thinks he hasn’t. He’s still angry, his gut still tells him to strike first in situations where he feels threatened in some capacity. I think Robby fully embraced MD before he was CK and especially now he’s a lot lighter. Not always but more so than he was when things were bad for him. Miguel wasn’t so much CK as he was Johnny’s karate student. Johnnys way has always been his way. Hawk and Tory are the ones who both went full cobra until things got bad enough that they had to get out. He understands how she feels when it comes down to it on that front. He hates it, don’t get me wrong, but he gets it. And more than anything he feels for her.

Barcelona   was   like   nothing   she   had   seen   before.   She   might   had   swapped   the   cobra   on   her   back   to   the   Iron   Dragon,   but   after   Silver,   the   learning   regime   of   Sensei   Wolf   was   nothing   for   her,   like   a   damn   walk   in   the   park.   "Once   a   cobra   always   a   cobra,   right?"   Nina   speaks   once   she   turns   to   look   at   Tory,   seeing   her   standing   beside   the   man   she   recognizes   as   Kreese   from   Silver's   photos.  

She   smiles   brightly,   arms   open   to   show   off   her   new   gi   and   colors.   "I   evolved."   From   cobra   to   dragon.Her   hands   are   sore   and   red   from   training   but   she   feels   alive   again   on   a   tournament   and   on   a   mat.   "What   does   your   boyfriend   think   about   this?   Or   are   you   two   on   the   fences   now?"   And   across   the   mat,   she   looks   at   Robby,   smiling   brightly   as   the   Miyagi-Do   seem   to   be   as   confused   and   angry   and   upset   at   Tory.
