What kind of day is it? i wish everyone reading this could have sat in my last design presentation this evening. it was such a bizarre combination of frustrating and horrible and absurdly hilarious we were all laughing hysterically once we saw those clients were on the elevator - pouring a big girl glass of wine as i type this

When was the last time you ate? like 10 hours ago, but I never eat lunch and dinner is in the oven at the moment

Have you ever had a professional massage? no but I've really been thinking about it, but i dont like the dentist or hairdressers so I dont think i would like it, luckily my partner gives very good massages

Is there a self-care gadget you really want to buy? nothing comes to mind but ill put all of you onto something - buy an ergonomic mouse if you spend a lot of time on the computer, my hand was going numb by the end of thesis and this thing changed my life

this is the one i got, its a little pricey and im sure theres cheaper ones but seriously, changed my life

10. Something that made you cry this year?

bro so many things??? Mostly existential/quarter life crisis, work, and Bigger Than The Whole Sky. (TW for drug use coming up) I think the absolute hardest I cried was when I found out a family friend had OD’d back in April. We grew up together and he was my brothers age and best friend for a long time so that really hit me hard. And also sucked bc I had used all my sick days for when I’d gotten ✨covid✨ and didn’t have any left to go home for the funeral but yeah that was what made me cry the hardest this year

13. How was your birthday this year?

It was actually a lot of fun! I went home to the Rio Grande Valley, got my passport I needed renewed to go see Harry styles in London, watched my baby sister graduate from Kindergarten, and then ate what is probably THE best Ramen I have ever had and ever will have (Yasuke, McAllen, TX. That’s where it’s AT YALL)

Also that’s when Harry Styles released Harry’s House so 🤪 birthday album!

I usually get a ton of Existential Dread around my birthday and I think this year I was too busy and too excited about life to really feel it even though it was the big 25 lmaoo

23. If you could send a message to yourself back on the first day of the year, what would it be?

1) Don’t be afraid to stand up for yourself, because you’ll never regret it, but you will always regret not doing it

This is random, sad, lame and might make people feel awkward but I’ve been slowly going back through my likes and I reached the good old day of 2012 when I first joined this site. 

And there’s just so many covos and posts back and forth with the first “internet friends” I have had and it’s just so PURE and make me so fucking nostalgic. 

Like we would literally be messaging each other utter nonsense about QAF and our teenage woes at 4am and now it’s like most of those blogs don’t even exist anymore.

And now I’m just looking at posts from the strangers I used to talk to when I was 17 - Cat, Milo, Sarah, Chesea, Tarah, Denise and others I’ve probably missed - and I don’t know what happened to yall but I went from fucked up 17 year old to sad as hell adult and like

Tumblr itself is basically dead. The QAF fandom is basically dead. I stil love it and honesty think about it every day but as far as new stuff goes I don’t feel that passionate about ANYTHING anymore. All other fandoms have basically died - EVEN SUPERNATURAL IS FINALY ENDING WTF

Not to mention, like, the world at large is also a big fucking never ending dumpster fire and it’s led by two white bigots in toupes that are both a real life health hazard and I just 

I hope everyone came out okay yknow. I haven’t yet. I mean I’m doing alright but there’s alot of shit left to figure out and even though i would NEVER want to go back to being a sixth former (that was a more superficial hell lbr) I’m just feeling nostalgic as hell about the internet and the world and how much smaller it used to feel. 

I’m grateful we got to grow up before shit really hit the fan and for me alot of that growing up happened right here and we did it together so

I just hope everyone is doing okay. And if I tag you (idek if that shit works anymore???) and you have no recollection of any of this then it’ll probably freak you out and I’m sorry but that just amuses me so

I have like a line on my forehead from stress/aging that is starting to be there even when my forehead muscles are at rest?? Like I use anti wrinkle cream every night but I am having a fucking crisis about this y’all. I’m deadass considering saving up enough money to get Botox over winter break like I cannot do this. 90% of my social capital is based on being perceived as young innocent and naive I can’t imagine having to function in a world where I’m perceived as the actual age I am?? And like I know worrying about it makes it worse because then you make facial expressions that deepen the worry line but still!!!
