Armand Sleepover Cutie #1: Matthew Newton (QOTD movie, 2002)

The first of 4 entries in my little "Armand Sleepover Cuties" series. It was suggested to me to have all the Armands at a sleepover, so I decided to give each of them a sleepover pillow and their own cute illustration. First up is probably the least represented Armand on Tumblr, Matthew Newton's Armand from the 2002 "Queen of Damned" movie .

Interestingly, despite having the most difficult costume to render and resembling Lestat more closely than the ACTUAL actor they got for Lestat, this iteration of Armand is the most accurate to Vampire Chronicles canon.

And look at how cute he is! He's ready to pop some popcorn.

Queen of the Damned did miss an opportunity with this, not going to lie.

I still adore the movie, nonetheless.

I love wearing my IWTV coat, I walk to work, it's maybe a 35 minute walk if I take my time. On the way home the other day I stopped to get lunch, the guy who was at the counter saw my jacket and asked "Books, Movie, or the show." I just "Books, but if I had to choose movie or show, it'd be the show." He just nodded and brought up the scene from the movie when Lestat is dancing with Claudia's dead mom because its the only thing that stuck with him and then said "Atleast IWTV movie is better than QOTD movie" and lmao I agreed because yall what was that movie, the only good thing that came from it was the sound track and Aaliyah as Akasha.

I can't wait to get to Akasha in IWTV. I know she wasn't a good person according to the books, but quite frankly she did absolutely nothing wrong in the 2002 movie and I'm in love with her. AMC needs to do a looooottt of convincing to make me hate her.
