• Jean finished her gift to the potluck the night before, a sweet potato casserole, which hopefully is more flavorful than last year's Christmas dinner. She spent a lot of time trying to get it right, so they'll all try some, and thank her for making it... She's wearing earrings with small acorns dangling from them, amd her sweater has a turkey on it...

• Scott had prepared a soup, regular chicken noodle, and it smelled good. It was left to simmer on thr back eye of the stove, and he uses the fun shaped pasta pieces in it this time. He was still a bit strict today, but he was smiling, and it was nice to see him happy for a change...

• Logan had hunted a deer for this occasion, and spent thr while week making jerky. Reader had tried a piece, and it tasted amazing. A bit tough, but all jerky is, with the perfect smoky, salty flavor. He was proud of himself, and the team was, too. • Morph was in charge of the mashed potatoes, and they took great strieds to make them the best. They were dressed in a sweatshirt with fall leaves on it, and they kept making turkey jokes throughout the day...

• Storm had made a turkey, using garlic and salt and baste, stuffing it, and it was to cook until dinner was ready... it smelled heavenly, amd she had to swat away anyone who tried to steal a bite when she checked it's temperature. She wore a white sweater with golden thread running through it...

• Rogue had made a pecan pie, and Reader had to stop themself from drooling at the warm, nutty scent in the air. She kept it on the table, and made small talk with Remy, the two eventually evolving into playful banter. Rogue qore a maroon sweatshirt with a cardinal on it...

•Hank had made some sausage balls, happily explaining his recipe for them as he set the bowl down. They smelled like sausage biscuits, and he let Reader, Jubilee, and Roberto try one when no one was looking. They tasted like a warm house and sleepy holidays. Hank was wearing a mustard yellow sweater, with specks of black and brown dotting it...

•Jubilee and Roberto were in charge of the punch, amd the two kept excitedly chattering about what to add. Reader spotted lemons, oranges, cherries, and limes in it, and were asked to taste test it. It tasted like a citrus explosion, with hints of club soda and fruit punch. The two were wearing matching sweaters, both bright yellow with orange leaves on the sleeves...

• Reader was happy to see Cable, Bishop, amd Forge show up, each mumbling about being home for the holidays. Jean and Scott hugged Cable tightly, while Hank and Storm were quick to start up conversation with Forge, and Bishop and Logan went about trying to taste the food, being swatted away by Rogue while Remy waved his spoon at them, light crackling along it...

• It was a surprise when The Professor and Magneto came down, both wearing ugly Christmas sweaters, and both saying they'd invited Erik's children to come by... it wasn't much later when Pietro zoomed in, followed by Wanda and Lorna, who carried a box of sugar cookies and gingerbread, saying they'd decides to stop by, if only to cause a ruckus...

• Reader had been outside, taking a breather, when they spotted Mystique sneaking through the front doors... and they were quick to startle when they saw Sabretooth staring at the mansion from the woods. They were happy to wander inside after that...

• Kurt showed up at the last minute, happily asking about the holiday, and bamfing around the mansion, hanging decorations and calling our to Rogue and Logan and Morph to watch them... he wore a bright orange sweater, and smiled brightly when he saw Rogue and Remy getting along...

• Once dinner was ready, everyone was squeezed into the dining room, pulling out the chairs and setting out the dishes. Jean, Scott, and Cable were sat together, by The Professor amd Magneto, with Wanda and Pietro and Lorna on their other side; Logan and Morph, as well as Jubilee and Roberto, were sitting together, on the other side of the Summers-Grey Family; Forge, Storm, Hank, and Bishop were sat across from them, happy to discuss the history of the turkey; Rogue, Remy, and Kurt were at the end, along with Mystique, all of them getting along for once, all of them ready to try the food; Reader, when they went to sit down, was offered by everyone to sit with them... they ended up sitting between Jubilee and Roberto, feeling a bit warmer and a bit lighter among friends...

• Getting dinner was amazing. The turkey was crisp and juicy, popping with flavor; the gumbo was spicy, a warm taste lingering on the tongue; the sweet potato casserole was sweet, the marshmallow top soft and adding an extra fluff to it; the chicken noodle soup was delightful, each bite full of chicken and pasta; the mashed potatoes were perfect, tasting salty and peppery and with the right amount of sour cream; the sausage balls tasted like sausage biscuits, each a warm bite of home; the pecan pie was divine, each bite nutty and full of spice; Reader's lemon pie was tart and creamy, each bite lemony and sweet; and the punch packed a punch, full of citrus zest and sparkling with bubbles...

• Reader was happy to talk with their family, everyone giving thanks for their friends and for everyone taking time to make the meal, and everyone seemed to be in a good mood, the holiday cheer infectious and bright. It was nice, a warm home and warmer friends, all gathered together...

Mother:

Beyond what her father told her, Candace does not really know her mother well. Those who have seen her only spoke of her as a reserved beauty who kept to herself, but the Guardian knows surely there is more to things than that.

What she isn’t aware of is that her mother belonged to a tribe from the distant sands who sought after and studied the teachings of Nabu Malikata. Revered as their prophetess, Candace’s mother was responsible for spreading the word of divine deities and making predictions. Her encounter with Candace’s father was reflected among the stars, so she claimed.

Candace does not possess her penchant for predictions. Nor does she share her distant nature or her traditions. Though one thing is certain: they are bound by blood. Connected by the very same mysterious constructs that wove their power into her shield.

How could Candace’s father construct such myths without fear of divine punishment? How did Candace survive the monsters through each sandstorm they weather? What is inscribed upon her shield? Where did it come from? How was it made to last?

Perhaps there is a shred of truth buried deep beneath tangled lies.

Timeline:

Candace was born to the son of the former Guardian of Aaru Village and a prophetess from a distant tribe. As relationships with members outside of the Tribe are forbidden, Candace’s father was expected to convert and become a part of them. However, given his status in his own village, that is not feasible.

Hence, to protect the prophetess, it is decided that Candace would be told her mother has ‘journeyed into the Eternal Night’ when she is old enough to start asking questions and that her father will raise her himself.

Given that Candace is fated to be the only child he would ever have, he wishes to pass on his title to her in the future. Yet this would be nigh impossible as he is well aware of the patriarchal ideologies of the Elders. To better ensure her chances, he began to create myths out of her background (ref: What Pharoah Hatshepsut had to do in order to fully win over others, apart from changing pronouns, statue depictions etc): How her gold eye is a blessing from Al-Ahmar designed to perceive the truth, how she came into existence in the midst of a sandstorm untouched by the monsters that were drawn to it, and how the shield (something her mother left behind for her) that was found cradling her is proof that she is the true descendant of Al-Ahmar.

What started out as myths he conjured soon were cemented as belief among the villagers as Candace flourished under his tutelage. From young, Candace was given strict training regimes to follow, with the expectation that she would eventually take over her father’s role as primary ‘Guardian’ of Aaru Village. There was more pressure heaped upon her than anyone else to succeed. Those who have witnessed Candace venture into the sandstorm to fight the monsters encroaching upon their village and return alive, time after time, soon found themselves questioning whether there is truth to those myths.

It seemed only natural that she assumed leadership as Guardian once her father steps down. Though it may not be a unanimous decision, any disagreement would soon be laid to rest when their village began to thrive under the care of both Village Chief (Uncle Anpu) and herself. Any decision made by the Village Chief is loaned even more credence under the support of Candace (Ref: How royal women acted as primary contacts with their god Amun, play a decisive role in the king’s ascension, ‘Kandake’/Qore ruling over their own court individually).

Upon quashing the dissent of the village elders regarding their chief’s decision to open up the village to merchant traders, Candace is then granted a vision.

"The Anti-Ablative." From Mark 14: 10-11.

All things in Judaism called "object lessons" which become offices or religious responsibilities are dual. They go both ways. There are evil offices that accompany the former. Now Jesus warns us about an Anti-Ablative, and its name is Judas Iscariot.

Judas Iscariot means "the glory of the popularity contest, to piece together a conspiracy to forcibly pound down the weak."

"The verb אנש ('anash) appears to emphasize the weakness of the human individual and mankind's consequent tendency to clan up and have strength in numbers first and then in social stratification. It either means to be weak or even to be sick, or it swings the other way and means to be friendly and social. Root קרר (qarar) means to cool off in a thermodynamic sense: to go from hot gas to cool liquid to a cold solid. Socially this would describe warring tribes "cooling off" into culturally compatible peoples and liquid trading networks and ultimately the formation of cities and solid nations. Intellectually, diverse viewpoints might congeal into local conventions and ultimately a global standard.

Adjective קר (qar) means cool. Nouns קר (qor) and קרה (qara) mean cold. Noun מקרה (meqera), meaning coolness.

Noun קיר (qir) is one of a few words for wall. It might relate to the root because bricks are congealed mud, and a wall is bricks pieced together (non-standard bricks take some puzzling and pounding). The noun קרקע (qarqa') means floor; earth trampled into a compact state. The verb קרקר (qarqar) means to forcibly compact, to pound down.

Verb קרא (qara'), which is identical to the by-form of the previous, means to call or call near. Adjective קריא (qari') means called or summoned. Noun קריאה (qeri'a) means proclamation. And noun מקרא (miqra') means convocation or called assembly. The noun קרא (qore') describes a partridge; literally "a caller."

Dairen chemical corporation joins the lycra company and qore in the development of renewable lycra fiber

The LYCRA Company, a global developer of innovative, sustainable solutions for the apparel and personal care industries, announced today that it has signed a letter of intent with Dairen Chemical Corporation (DCC) to convert QIRA—the next generation of 1,4-butanediol (BDO)—into low-impact PTMEG, the main ingredient in patented bio-derived LYCRA fiber. Dairen will be the first company in the world to mass produce this low-impact bio-PTMEG at scale.

In September 2022, The LYCRA Company and Qore announced they were joining forces to enable the production of bio-derived LYCRA fiber made with QIRA. Now, DCC joins this distinctive collaboration, converting QIRA into bio-PTMEG. This unique PTMEG will make up the renewable portion of LYCRA fiber, accounting for 70% of the fiber’s content. It is being made exclusively for The LYCRA Company to its stringent specifications. With its low-impact allyl alcohol process, DCC has pioneered a technology that creates the lowest-impact PTMEG available, which is cleaner and has a lower carbon footprint than products produced with natural gas or coal.1

The LYCRA Company, Qore, and DCC are united by a shared commitment to R&D, health and safety, sustainability, and conservation. To mark this event, Steve Stewart, The LYCRA Company’s chief brand and innovation officer, presented DCC with a Green Partner Award. Available in early 2025, patented bio-derived LYCRA fiber made with QIRA will be the world’s first renewable spandex available on a large scale. By using annually renewable dent corn, an initial screening calculation indicates that the carbon footprint of LYCRA fiber potentially could be reduced by up to 44 percent2 compared to LYCRA fiber without bio-derived materials. Further, the fiber will offer equivalent performance to traditional LYCRA fiber, making it an easy replacement for mills, brands and retailers.

“We are excited to collaborate with DCC to bring bio-derived LYCRA fiber made with QIRA to market and realize our shared vision for a more sustainable value chain,” said Stewart. “Given the combination of using bio-derived input from corn, plus conversion at a state-of-the-art QORE facility run on wind power, and transformation to PTMEG using DCC’s low-impact process, we anticipate the potential for additional reductions as we go into production.”

For many years, Dairen has demonstrated its sustainability efforts in raw materials management, waste elimination, process enhancement, innovations, and more. It has also achieved significantly lower carbon emissions in its product offerings than its competition.
