Some of the characters in Knights of Nodd have been around for many years. Kitti, in one form or another, is a character I’ve been drawing since I was in Elementary School. Her current form solidified around 2008 so I thought it’d be fun to share a progression of her through the last 14 years. :D

I can't believe how many spoilers (or clues?) you get if you choose to romance Qen in The Elder Crystals. I was writing his first romance scene with wide eyes today. While I knew I had to give the MC some extra information, I was still taken aback.

But it had to happen. Leaving MC in total darkness would have made no sense from the narrative perspective, and it would have made the romance very difficult to justify.

Well, I hope you end up liking it!

PS. I'm actually really proud of Qen's first romance scene. I didn't like it at first, and I decided to delete it and write it again. This one works much better. Muuuuch better.

Description:

One of the select "servants in the Place of Truth," Qen was a member of the community of arts and craftsmen responsible for building and decorating the tombs of the New Kingdom pharaohs in the Valley of the Kings. This stela was found in 1862 in Qen's tomb at the workmen's village of Deir el-Medina. Qen's titles, as recorded on the stela, were "sculptor of Amun in the Place of Truth" and "sculptor of Amun in Karnak" suggesting that he specialized in carving relief.

In the lower register of the stela, Qen, his wife Nefertari, and their two sons, Merymery and Huy, are shown paying homage to the two seated figures above. These represent Amenhotep I, second king of Dynasty 18, and his mother Ahmose-Nefertari. By Dynasty 19, these two deified members of the royal family had become patrons of the Theban necropolis and especially of the workmen and their families.

The gay.......

1. As much as I like to joke about him being gay I'm actually not sure wether he is just full on homosexual, he might just be bisexual with a heavy preference for men. Like he'd see a man naked and start freaking out but if he saw a woman he'd be like "she sure is naked"

2. More Skinny, He's NOT a TWINK God forbid a man is slimmer, he's just average

3. I'm not sure in which time period the hand of God put him in, yes he was there during the medieval times yet I believe he should still be a bit younger than that, let's say very late medieval period he just kinda popped himself into existence

4. I think his relationships with the others are pretty clear, he hates almost everyone around him exception being Albania, but I wanna add a second exception which is Montenegro. Probably because he didn't expect the biggest Serbian nation to suddenly go ahead and recognise him, but silly him as he only later realized Šćepan does not agree with his government

5. Speaking of Šćepan if the economy gets bad enough he takes summer jobs in Montenegro, why not Albania is a question one will never get an answer to, but hey... Euros

6. He gets physically cold so easily, like actually so painfully cold blooded it's almost funny, it could be the slimmer build not really being made for rougher climates but it just means that he's like a cat that migrates to whatever the warmest spot of the house is

I'm feeling quite excited because I just wrote the closing scene for Chapter 4, and you'll finally get to meet the last love interest, Qen. It was always going to be like this, but it just feels surprisingly good.

As in better than I thought it would feel!

I still need to write the whole middle part of the chapter, though. 💛
