Ssssoooooooo,
I tried a new thing!
This is my first ever cross stitch and I think I've found a new hobby?
I'm happy with how neat it is but I got the left ear a wrong lol
It took me longer than I thought it would but it was every enjoyable and it was nice to do something that doesn't involve a screen.
I have a few more patterns of pusheen to try, so I will maybe update in the future.
Btw, I found the whole kit in a Waterstones but I'm sure you can find the same pattern online if you want to give it a go!

I'm really thinking that messing with my antidepressant dosages has fucked up my moods. The changes we made are definitely not helping. I see my psych next month. I still want to find a new psych (mine now has done things in the past that other people have commented on, saying that it didn't make sense, soooo.) Depending on wait lists, it might be easier to go to that appt and then find a new doctor. Idk. It certainly explains why I've been feeling so shitty lately 🥴
Thank you everyone who reached out last night. It means so, so much to me. A lot of us are struggling rn, but I know we can get through it together ❤️

Last week I got a Pusheen cross stitch kit and I had so much fun making that cute little cat. I've started looking at other cross stitch patterns and kits on Etsy 😭 someone save my wallet
I've also made a cross stitch pattern on an online pattern maker 😬

1265.
1. What has been your best/favourite Halloween costume? >> I've never had a proper Halloween costume.
2. Have you ever cross-stitched? >> I have not. I do have a small Pusheen cross-stitch kit that I keep forgetting about. Eventually I will put on a lecture-style YouTube video and try it out.
3. If you could visit just one European country next week, where would you go? >> I don't think I want to go anywhere that has the potential to be as cold or even colder than where I am right now.
4. What was the last job interview you went to? .
5. Do you have a crush at the moment? >> I do not.
6. Can you read in a moving car or do you get motion sickness? >> I can read in a moving car.
7. Have you ever had a meal kit subscription like Hello Fresh? >> We had Dinnerly for a while, but I am not suited for having to cook meals multiple times a week, especially meals that I'm not even terribly enthusiastic about, especially with such portioned ingredients that if I fuck up one of the ingredients or want to add more of a certain ingredient, I'm stuck. It wasn't particularly cost-effective, either, not for our needs. There was just no point.
8. What colour was the last chair you sat on? >> Grey with emerald-green cushions.
9. Who is your best coworker? (Think back to an old job if you don't currently work) . 10. What time do you usually go to bed? >> I consider 22:00 to be my bedtime.
11. Go to the camera roll on your phone and quickly scroll up and stop without looking. What picture did you land on? Is there a story behind it? .
12. Do you write in the margins when you read paper books? Or do you hate it when you pick up a secondhand book and it has handwriting in it? >> I don't write in my books, but I think it's great that people do. A secondhand book that has the previous reader's commentary in it is a treasure in my opinion.
13. What colour are your nails right now? . 14. Are you good at meditating? >> The way I understand it, meditation is not something one is "good" or "bad" at, and the fact that everyone thinks of it this way just shows how achievement-oriented Western culture is, and how that warps our understanding of certain ways of living. If you're busy thinking about how "good" or "bad" you are at it, how can you actually be present in the experience and what it has to offer you? What happens when you are "good" at it, what does that mean for your life? Does that mean you can stop doing it now, and consider yourself accomplished at meditation, no longer needing to learn anything from it? If you are "bad" at it, does that mean you cannot learn anything from the experience, and you should probably stop doing it and go do something else? By what rubric does one judge meditation ability? If you are sitting zazen but you start thinking, does that mean you're "bad" at it? Should you then punish yourself for thinking? If you are sitting zazen and find that you haven't had a thought for 10 whole minutes, does your ego inflate a little, make you believe that you're "good" at meditation? Is that why you have gotten into meditation?
15. Who did you last have an argument with, and what was it about? >> Sparrow, a while ago. It wasn't "about" anything as much as it was just emotional reactivity taken to its (il)logical extreme.
16. Can you do a pull-up? What about a push-up? >> I cannot do a pull-up but I can do a few push-ups. What I can do is the modified versions of both of those, because that is where one begins when one cannot yet do the more common (and more difficult) forms.
17. Have you ever been fired from a job? Did you think it was fair? >> I have not been fired from a job. Except in Second Life, and it definitely wasn't fair, but it is an incident I would point to as an example of how terrible I am with hierarchical social norms. 18. Do you have any furniture from IKEA? >> I don't think any of my current furniture is from IKEA, except maybe the office chair (I don't remember where that came from, but I remember roundabout when I got it, and considering where we'd done furniture shopping during that time period, IKEA is a pretty safe bet). I have learned over the years that I do not care for modern furniture at all, but I keep getting stuck with it (my current "I don't like you but I'm stuck with you" furniture seller is Wayfair).
19. What can you smell right now? >> The food I recently ate, because the bowl it was in is next to me on the nightstand and the scent is lingering in the air. I'm going to get up and toss it after I'm done with this because the smell is actually aggravating me.
20. Do you get into the Christmas spirit? >> Something like that. I like hearing Christmas tunes and watching Christmas movies and looking at all the decorations and, as people who know me will attest in hilarious fashion, I am obsessed with Santa Claus. At the same time, I really don't much care about Christmas itself, and certainly not any of its modern capitalist trappings. (Although I guess the songs and movies and decorations fall under that umbrella too, since it's all connected.) And I'm not Christian and am always very aware that no matter how people try to pretend otherwise, this is a Christian holiday, and I don't much care for how Christian holidays have become the default cultural holidays in so much of the world. So, I guess it's complicated. I enjoy what I enjoy, but I like to enjoy it in my way, and I don't want it pushed upon me by corpos or Christians, and this year I've got a bee in my bonnet about the terribad non-jolly Ozempic Santas I've had to be exposed to (Red One, the Target ads, etc), and basically I think everyone else is doing Christmas wrong by my standards so: HO HO HO and also BAH HUMBUG, you filthy animals. 😤
