How humorous it is to say that I, a traveler like me who can never stay in one place for long, would be holding such an event. It is an event that is typically reserved for those who stay put and collect, to then find themselves overcrowded with bobbles and trinkets to find the need to regift them - for a price of course.

But it appears that my little shop has been around for a year now, and I suppose that due to that homely nature I find with keeping it, I too have turned into those creatures that make it a habit to sell their old belonging.

After all, a year's worth of clutter must be dealt with, even for a peddler such as myself. And I have always found that it is better to give things no longer needed away than to sell them; generosity is in my nature after all.

So please, dear traveler, have a look around at all the trinkets, charms, and books you see upon my shelves and see if one catches your eye or even heart.

After all, trash can become a treasure in the right hands

After I finish the skull mini quilts, I'll be cleaning up my sewing room in preparation for panel quilts. November 1st, the commission options will be reduced to pins/magnets, pine tree wallhangings, and rag quilts. December 1st, commissions will be closed until Spring 2025, probably in April or May.

If you want to commission me, now is the time to do it.

The pins I make can serve as "ornaments" on the pine tree wallhangings. The pine trees are perfect for displaying your own pin collection, as well. It's what I use my own for. You can also sew favorite buttons on there for much the same purpose.

Rag quilts are a fun and quick type of quilt I can make on a lower budget because all the quilting is done during the sewing part. They're three layers of fabric, minimal piecing, made using large pieces, and have a good amount of weight to them. If you live in a cold area, or want to get a quilt for someone living in a colder region, three layers of flannel are an excellent option. They can be made with quilting cotton as well, which is heavier than flannel, but costs twice as much. Here's one rag quilt I've made. The reason I don't keep them in stock is due to their bulk and my extreme lack of storage space.

These are the same quilt, flipped over. The exposed edges are why it's called a rag quilt.

hello besties I am looking for some feedback on kindles/e-readers! recently I've been feeling tempted for the first time 🤔

as far as I'm thinking, the pros are:

access to more books for cheap/free

would be very useful for travelling etc

lots of people say it helps them to read more

this year I've been getting into reading more ebooks on my phone (especially via the serial reader app) so I could use it for that

but the cons:

I like reading + collecting physical books (and own a lot that still need reading)

I specifically avoid buying any books from amazon owned companies — are there non-amazon alternatives which are just as good??

initial cost when I can't guarantee I'll enjoy it (I'd probably ask for one for christmas, but still)

A friend is trying very hard to convince me to start donating plasma (he gets a referral bonus if he signs someone up) and ngl the idea of using it to pay for less important things like books and art commissions is appealing if only for the fact that I get to say "Yeah I'm paying for this with blood money"
