Hey there, I’m Hobie. He/they. You probably know some others like me, there’s more than a few of us out there. Like, the similarities can be anywhere from “was also bitten by a radioactive spider but we have nothing else in common” to “same exact name and history but British and a whole foot taller than me,” I mean, I guess there’s infinite possibilities what with the whole multiverse thing and all. Pretty cool, ain’t it?

Well, over here in Earth-161, it’s sometime in the 2020s, and we’re in New Washington, D.C. I got bit by a radioactive spider a few months ago, so I’m still figuring this whole thing out. And if you were wondering how I don’t break my ankles every day fighting cops in these sick heels, it’s through sheer force of will and transgenderism.

I’ve dedicated my life to trying to beat back the fascists. It’s an uphill battle, and we could really use your help. Will you join us?

Things you should know:

This is the in-character blog for @spideypunx’s Spider-Punk cosplay! (He/they irl as well)

Any lore applies only to this version of Hobie. These are not headcanons about ATSV Hobie. This Hobie is a variant in a different universe, so the character has been adapted to fit it.

Similarly, any lore and advice discussed should not be considered related to or based on any irl experiences or events.

Hi! I'm SpideyPunx (or just "Punx") and I started cosplaying in 2024. Basically, my interest in punk rock and Marvel comics had been entirely separate things before Across the Spider-Verse came out, and now I simply will not shut up about Hobie Brown. I'm also an anarchist and an activist, and I try to find ways to pay homage to left-wing protests and movements, both historical and modern-day, in my Spider-Punk cosplay.

my character’s name is amy hands! she’s a halfling bard and she lives in a DIY warehouse called Blue’s Clues (this campaign takes place in an alternate modern day reality and everyone in our group are crust punx) and she’s a lesbian and a TOP (yes we RP getting laid ksdjfhksdjh)

she might betray everyone for a chance at being royalty when the apocalypse happens

After a long day of being in the studio and treating himself after, Billie pulls his wings back into his back before glancing around, making sure no one saw. Buttoning up his leather jacket before making his way over to Claudia’s, really wanting to see her right now. Knocking on the door, waiting for her to answer and wiping the blood from his face.

It had been a few months since Billie and Darren found out there were expecting. Aside from the bits of morning sickness and not having that thin body he was known for, Billie barely noticed he was pregnant. After a quick shower, he noticed the blood on the shirt he wore previously while grabbing it. Leaving the bathroom, tossing his dirty clothes on the floor before rushing down stairs to Darren in the living room. “Babe, we have a problem!” he exclaims, clearly panicking.

The musician walks up to the coffee shop and freezes for a moment, taking the last drag off his cigarette before dropping it to the ground, stomping it out. Walking inside the coffee shop, it was rather busy right now from the looks. With a roll of his bright green eyes he made his way into the line of people, pulling out his cellphone. “All this for a coffee hot chocolate mix and a drink,” he spoke more to himself, looking through emails, texts and social sites before finding some pointless game like Candy Crush to distract him for a bit. Finally getting to the counter he ordered his drink and waited near the counter for it, staying out the way for others to also order. He always hated the system of Starbucks, he didn’t want to be shouted at. Looking up from his phone, seeing a familiar face, a slight grin takes over the being’s face. “Well, there’s a beautiful face I haven’t seen in a while. Claudia, how have you been, you devil you?” he asked, turning his phone screen off and slipping the white coloured electronic into his back pocket.

Billie had just finished his second drink before lighting up a cigarette, taking the first drag off of his before talking it out of his mouth. “Another drink,” he says to the bartender, who nods getting him another whiskey. Turning around in the chair for a moment before, looking around at everyone there til he notices a woman take a seat a couple seats from him. “Want me to buy you a drink?” he asks, trying to be friendlier to the lovely woman.

      “maybe we should go on a VACATION somewhere, it’s be fun,” really billie just wanted to get away from it all, though they didn’t exactly have a HONEYMOON at all so why not? “is there ANYWHERE you’ve wanted to go?” his job took him around the WORLD, so he couldn’t figure out a place off the top of his head.
