Thank to @celestabella and @ladyzoehowl for such an amazing evening at @roughtradeeast for the Pre-Launch talk and party for their incredible new book DAYGLO. It is the biography and story of Celeste's mum, Poly Styrene, the lead singer of Xray Spex. Poly was the ultinate DIY punk, making her own music, clothes, hairstyles, Writing, fonts, graphic design... she did the lot. This book is so good that you need at least two copies. It os packed full of amazing interviews, diary entries, photos and Poly's original art designs. It is a treasure trove!! Poly Styrene changed my life, and made my world turn Dayglo. Now she can change yours too. Huge thanks to original Xray Spex members Paul Dean and Lora Logic whom we also saw tonight.
